I would love for someone at the hospital to give Jason the smackdown he so badly needs about owning his behavior and his choices instead of whining that it's everyone else's fault he can't control himself.

There's different analgesics they can use, but there's an anesthetic and an analgesic typically. Fentanyl is common. A friend of mine gave birth in the UK and at the time they used diamorphine, which is actual heroin. (Less potent than fentanyl! It's legal there for hospital use.) Some hospitals use epidural PCA so you can give yourself a booster dose. If Jason had attended prenatal classes he'd know that one, you don't get high from an epidural (as opposed to IV demerol which makes you woozy and affects the baby more) and two you cannot get addicted to fentanyl from a single dose in an epidural. And three, if mom gets too exhausted to push she gets a C-section, and they'll *definitely* give her painkillers for that... and Percocet after too.

I cannot BELIEVE Jason is whining that the hospital only cares about Kylen and not him, and thank God, the nurse is listening to Kylen and not Jason. And he's so dumb and ignorant about how it all works but he's ready to run his mouth. I would love an MD to give him a smackdown.

So, in New Hampshire, birth centers aren't run by CNMs (nurse-midwives with master's degrees). They are CPMs, who may or may not have a college degree and don't have the same degree of training. A lot of them are very hands-off and into natural birth. A friend of mine had a really bad experience in an NH birth center. I really feel like this played into the problem. Kylen could have had preeclampsia or another complication.

The midwives are incredibly unprofessional. They should have stepped in and spoken to Kylen directly and not deferred to Jason. I am legit angry at this episode.

Whatever ethnicity she is, being white had nothing to do with her being a bitch to that PT. Now she's lost her feeder.

I mean... maybe she has someone who isn't white, three generations back. But this has absolutely NOTHING to do with anything, what a load of nonsense. The poor PT barely said a word.

She did.

"This is why we don't mess with white people"? Oh giiiiirl.

What the hell have I tuned into? She's yelling at the PT that she came too late and it's not fair? I've heard her yell "it's not fair!" about 5 times in as many minutes.

She thinks it's unfair that Dr. Now didn't get to see her progress with doing laundry. What a note to end on.

I would seriously pay to watch a psychiatrist evaluate Dolly.
