  1. Good guess, but wrong network…maybe it’s someone from Law & Order? 😂
  2. I watched some Dynasty back in the day, so I loved the references. I think the furniture store guys and neighbors are more interesting than Murray, so it’s good to see them incorporated into the plot. Erica gets married and the next thing we know is she’s hanging out at her parents’ place doing laundry and digging into her brother’s business? Whatever. Get a life. Jane and the Formica King make an odd couple, but I like them better as a couple than Bev and Murray. Nice to see Jane and Bev make up in the end. The part about the paper cups made my eyes watery. I miss Pops too. 🥲
  3. Yeah, I’m glad they gave him credit in the end. I sat there the whole episode wondering who he was and thinking I should know him. 😂
  4. How could Aram's techie self not realize there would be a microphone embedded in the model to listen in on conversations? The guy was in love with the robot? Whatever. I have no idea where they're going with all this.
  5. Anthony is a fave, so I’m sorry to see his promotion turned out like that. The Danny/Eddie case was boring since the outcome was obvious from the beginning. I’m glad Reddick opted not to return to 1PP.
  6. I’m just now finishing the wedding episode. So glad that’s over! I guess my favorite part was when Bev and Richard Marx complimented each other’s hair. Sort of funny and signaled it was finally over. So many lows, but I guess the worst for me was when Bev and Erica used their powers to change the weather. 🙄 Agree with all who posted they need to write Murray out for good.
  7. In our school, a big part of the school resource officer's job is to make friends with students. The guy keeps students from being on time for class because he has cool jokes to tell and needs to sing praises to all the athletes. Seems like a publicity stunt to build relations with community, yet also seems like he's listening for any tips to arrest family members or neighbors. Not impressed. Some schools have their own safety staff which can be more effective and create less animosity than if they have police. I wish the show would just have one or two stories each week instead of multiple stories with all Reagans. I can imagine how tasty Eddie's quiche was. I love Anthony and realize he lives his job, but think maybe it would be good if he had some distance between him and Erin. Not sure about NYPD, but in our schools, they are police officers carrying guns. There is a contract between police department and the school system. Some schools also contract with private security, and those guards also carry guns.
  8. Any other student at that university would’ve been expelled. I’m tiring of Missy these days. And Mary. As much as I dislike the spats between Mary and George, I wish he would’ve gone ahead and said something to her about seeing her smoking with the youth pastor. That way we could deal with it and put it behind us instead of letting it linger even longer.
  9. The JTP was the best part along with seeing Erica's friends. I'm so ready for this wedding to happen and so tired of the multiple references to it. Barry's story was cringeworthy, but true to form as we've seen that story line many times in the past. No more Adam & Brea stories, please.
  10. I'm going to have to watch this episode when it's available for streaming tomorrow. I fell asleep and when I woke up, I thought those new characters were a refreshing change. Then I realized I was watching the first few minute of The Endgame. 😆
  11. Melissa’s secret that her cousin turned down a hit on Bobby Kennedy 😂 I was hoping Janine would break up with her boyfriend by the end of the episode.
  12. I’m not sure what you mean by her “privilege,” but I’ve seen examples of art on display in schools that were exclusively created by the teacher and not the students. I’ve also seen projects featuring pages from library books, although they were older ones rather than new books. Overall, I didn’t care for the show’s art teacher character, but I found her to be an adequate representation of personalities that are actually in public schools. I think it’s okay that she wanted to do something different in terms of projects, but not a good choice to use those particular books. If they wanted to keep doing the styrofoam plate bunnies, there was no need to get the art teacher involved.
  13. I was kind of hoping that experience would cause Kat to put a pause on the relationship with Oscar. I like the scenes with Phil, Sheila, and Randi. The guys across the street are somewhat of a bore to me. I was craving cupcakes by the end of this show. I’d love to know Phil’s recipe. Thought it was funny that he had codes for nutmeg and measurements. That sure sounds like something he’d do.
  14. I live in South Carolina. I’ve met several teens and teachers who identify as LGBTQ here. People know and are accepting, so I felt that part is realistic. I agree about Helen as mayor. I hope she remains an attorney and stays out of politics. ETA: I’m disappointed with Helen’s character this season. Initially she came across as strong and intelligent. One scene she was that and the next a crying mess. Based on her wardrobe, she seemed the obvious choice for Dana Sue’s new partner. The baby storyline just doesn’t mesh with her original personality. I hope they move past that and give her more opportunities to shine next season rather than weighing her down with so much drama. Let Maddie and Dana Sue continue as the drama queens while Helen remains steady. I’m also disappointed with what they did to Coach Cal’s character. If they wanted Maddie to remain single, there could have been a better way for his exit.
  15. Throughout the season, I just kept waiting for Isaac to be the mayor’s son. Like so many of you, I felt Maddie’s reaction to the news was over the top. I felt Bill was beginning to redeem himself, but I’m disappointed he didn’t try to spend more time with Noreen and the baby. I realize she has a lot going on as a new mom, but with all the small town gossip, she needs to hear the news from him. Good for Peggy for trying to form a relationship with Isaac despite her mother’s objections. Helen needs to get past Ryan. Part of me wished Ronnie would stop trying to get back with Dana Sue. He seems too good for her, but I know how much it means to Annie to have them back together. Is the show popular with teens? If not, I wish they’d drop some of those storylines—especially those involving Kyle.
  16. I could tell the creator had an inside scoop into education. I’ve worked in elementary, middle, and high schools and can recognize some familiar characters in the show. Every time the principal says something and smiles into the camera, I laugh, but in real life it made my skin crawl when I came across people like that.
  17. Loved the episode, but in the back of my mind, I kept waiting for them to be told they couldn’t serve the veggies due to health regulations. Shame the substitute didn’t just join them.
  18. From what I recall, he was offered the job, but they pulled the offer because the current principal had some dirt on someone. He’s apparently more qualified than she is. There are people with admin degrees in education who have very little experience, if any, in the classroom. There are people in district office positions who have very little, if any, experience in the classroom. I feel his character represents them, although most of the ones I know like that wouldn’t sub because they would think that’s beneath them.
  19. Based on what we’ve seen so far, it’s odd they left Murray out of Valentine’s Day. They need to just go ahead and have the character leave the show instead of randomly have him here or there or absent. Since real Brea B. and real Adam didn’t last long as a couple, and they went to different schools, I don’t see why they feel the need to drag on this relationship. Let them part as friends, as they did in real life, and allow Adam to grow. That actress playing Brea B. must have a great contract that requires them to keep her on. I’ve been over that relationship for some time now. Thank you for giving us an Erica story that doesn’t go on and on about her upcoming wedding or her music.
  20. Janine lost some major credibility with me when she said she hadn’t heard about Dr. Gardner’s multiple intelligence theory. She has a quirky wardrobe like a few teachers I know. My fave so far is the pink sherpa jacket.
  21. Love Janine’s spirit and the wardrobe. I want those necklaces and pink Sherpa jacket. ❤️ One of the best parts about this episode is no mention of the boyfriend. She needs to part ways with that loser.
  22. I thought the book store plot was rather lame. As has already been pointed out, Eddie and her partner aren’t detectives, yet we’ve had episodes with them acting as though they are. It’s like the writers recently watched “You’ve Got Mail” and were inspired to recreate the setting (Meg Ryan’s store) and dilemma of having problems making ends meet in the family owned book business with a Blue Bloods crime twist. Yawn. Until Eddie is promoted (hope that doesn’t happen), they should keep her role in check.
  23. I feel the Missy plot was excessive and intentionally vague. Somewhat interesting to know other kids made fun of her as a contrast to the way she’s usually the one putting down others, but odd it’s included since this show is supposed to be Sheldon’s reflection and he wasn’t even there. I could see Missy going either way: self-harm or overtly dramatic. It means so much to her to be part of the in crowd, so this sort of teasing could have pushed her to be aggressive and later regretting what she’d done. Kid’s got some issues and sure isn’t going to talk about it with her mother at this point in her life. Not sure why the show decided to go in that direction. I would have been fine eliminating the Missy story and expanding on what’s going on at college with Sheldon. At least there was some reprieve from the laundromat.
  24. Sorry...I meant to quote @EtheltoTillie I didn't understand the resolution to the dirty cop story either. They left that one open for interpretation it seems with her getting the message that her husband isn't a hero. I recall an episode last season when Frank wanted Erin to be his liaison with the governor because he supported a pension plan but didn't want to support it publicly. Can't remember how that ended, though.
