  1. I actually loved Deja's speech. I think she knew that was one way he'd actually listen to her. Most teens would not speak that way, you are correct but remember, Deja was in Foster Care. She would sadly know all about stipends especially when her temporary foster parents squandered the stipend on themselves while the kids went hungry.
  2. Ohhh and when Kevin was charmingly flirting with the nurse to convince her to allow Jack and the kids to visit Rebecca after visiting hours in the hospital, Jack says to the nurse, "Sorry. I don't know that THAT was!" I laughed literally out loud!
  3. May I just say that I LOVE this forum? I love the intelligent, insightful dialogue of a show that we all enjoy. I love that the comments are respectful of one another; this is so rare in this day of rude online comments that often attack one another. (Please forgive me for not knowing how to comment without doing so as a quote.) Thank you!
  4. True, but Randall has a life-long issue with anxiety. Remember Jack cupping his hands around Randall's face to soothe and console him, much like Randall did to William, his birth dad as he was dying. Just because they've only shown several anxiety attacks (on the show), there's the underlying theme that Randall is riddled with anxiety.
  5. I LOVE your comments! You are so insightful.
  6. Thank you for posting this. I often have difficulty hearing all the dialogue and have to watch twice. You ROCK!
  7. I agree about Kevin not always getting what he wanted. He was sandwiched in the middle of two siblings who got allll the attention, growing up. Remember the pool speech: "where's Kevin? Oh yeah, he's dead!" His football career was ended prematurely with an injury. He had the meltdown during a scene on his sitcom and lost his job. He screwed up big time with Sophie multiple times. He became an addict. He relapsed. Yes, of course Kevin is charming and handsome but his life hasn't been a fairy tale by any means.
  8. You are very insightful; i hadn't thought that far about why Kevin chose the AA meeting near Sophie. I just LOVE this avenue to explore and discuss our favorite show!
  9. "...eleventy brothers!" (You totally made me laugh out loud!) Thank you for that.
  10. Exactly! I can see Beth staying home with the girls, awaiting updates and Randall being with the family at the hospital, free to be his annoying self! Blessing to you! You have an excellent attitude and loving spirit!
  11. My Grandchildren (age 7 and 5) both have Celiac disease and cannot have gluten. It causes different symptoms to different people. One basic similarity is it an autoimmune disease which causes the internal organs to not receive nourishment. Before he was diagnosed, my Grandson was badly malnourished and was so weak he had to be carried up and down the stairs. He had no energy. His little eyes were sunken into his skull. I'm grateful that Gluten Free alternatives are readily available now, even in restaurants.
  12. Plus - Janelle was lying when she said Kody was her first; she was married to Meri's brother. They are such liars!
  13. I agree. Young Beth has the same fleck in her left eye (or is it the right?) as Adult Beth. Uncanny!
  14. Very insightful about Beth having a Jack in her life as well. Her Dad was her kind and gentle place. You are spot on!
