    Season 2

Maybe a greater gift to humanity would be to also teach her never to treat a guy like Rory treated Dean.
  2. As to Fran's family baking, maybe the Dragonfly was known for its baking/weddings, etc. I once stayed at an inn that had an apiary and was known locally for its honey/beeswax products. Even at a discounted price, given the land we see (acreage, pond, etc) and the size of the II, I'm willing to bet buying the Dragonfly and renovating still cost less than buying the II. We've all also been at the point where something was destroyed (be it a car or roof or water heater explosion, etc) and we had insurance to fix it, but money is not the only issue. The enormous HASSLE involved would certainly be enough to drive someone away, especially if they had been thinking about selling anyway. My family was hit by an idiot driver over a month ago and we're still dealing with forms, calls, finding new stuff wrong with the car, getting proper reimbursement, blah blah blah blah blah. Never mind fighting the insurance company bc they don't want to pay for anything.
  3. May 15, 2002 was not a Sunday.
  4. Based on how she treats practically every other human being in existence, it's pretty safe to say she's a villain, treatment of Luke notwithstanding.
  5. 5. Such a poser. Thinking about it makes me roll my eyes.
  6. Interesting! Hadn't thought of that! The show seemed very topical from a pop culture standpoint but not necessarily from a historical/political standpoint. I think that leaving politics out (mostly) is one reason it has a widespread viewership across the spectrum. I was in med school, asleep for once, awoken by a family member just in time to watch the second plane hit live (I thought I was watching a replay of the first plane). I just remember it being very surreal. Everyone was sent home from everywhere and our house became a gathering point because...well, we always took everyone in. 8, 13
  7. Yes. He said "They both (Leela and Bean) fight good and don't know where they fit in." The kid really enjoyed Futurama. I agree. The last 2 episodes were something else. I was just mildly amused and enjoying the show...then suddenly it got some teeth!
  8. They made so many of the main players incompetent at organizing (besides Taylor and Mrs Kim, neither of whom would be particularly comforting), I can see why they thought of Lorelai. She has the skillz.
  9. Yes. Ruined what could have been a powerful scene bc to my eyes, a round of cpr with rescue breaths had a HUGE chance of bringing her back. One of the few times it actually has a good chance - witnessed arrest due to hypoxia that is addressed within mere minutes. Terrible writing. Boring and annoying from day 1.
