  1. https://www.cbs.com/shows/the_talk/video/h4UYh5dZN7ui3EhaqKldpZeDuYpmfSTL/the-talk-6-27-2018/ Couldn't find it on You Tube. Episode 193, 5th segment at about 22:19. The clip runs first, and they talk about THT towards the end of the segment. Other than the clip, there isn't really anything we don't already know about THT.
  2. Look, unlocking a garage door, or trying one of the others is not James Bond or Harry Houdini level thinking. If there was a garage door opener attached, maybe she would have had trouble figuring it out, but who gives up after tugging on a string when the stakes are like that? She wasn't trying to go to Starbucks; she was trying to escape a crapsack world. And if it was cold enough for the door to freeze, what was the wolf doing running around like that if it wasn't looking for something to eat? This is just excuses.
  3. I read a lot of YA, and I'm starting to think the writers of this show do too.
  4. They retained electric openers on every door in that garage in a society where they can't even get electricity in homes to keep the lights on?
  5. Ok... again with the overhead garage door... this was overkill on the part of the writers. June HAD THE KEYS. Those garage door handles are the kind that have locks with places to put KEYS in them. June is never shown putting a key in one of them. You must unlock the door to open it. She had access to the inside, and never tries to unlock it from there, either. June only tries to open the one garage door. There are two other doors. It would be difficult, but not impossible to move the car out of the door next to it, and she didn't even bother to try it. And if I had to do it to get away from the Waterfords, I would manage it. June thought of shooting the Waterfords. She thought of shooting the wolf/dog. She thought of shooting the gun in the air to call for help. But she didn't think of shooting the lock loose? The writers shot a hole in the plot big enough for June to drive though.
  6. Nice catch. The only way it could get any better would be if everyone brings a covered dish for potluck.
  7. Weren't those handles on the garage door the kind with the lock in the middle where you stick the key in and then turn the handle and lift? Why was she hacking at it with a shovel? I mean I get that things can freeze, but she had the keys and she never tried UNLOCKING THE DOORS. It didn't look like cold enough weather for the doors to be frozen, either. I could have bought into this more if the car just plain didn't start because the battery was dead.
  8. I just watched season one again and I didn't see him! Looks like round 3 for me...
  9. They waited until almost the end of season 2 to show a black commander. It was really bizarre.
  10. Season 1, episode 4, when June goes to the doctor, you can see portraits of commanders, wives and babies in the backgrounds. Two of them show single wives with babies. In any other show, I might take this as a hint that there are wives out there on their own with babies, but this one having the appearance of having been so sloppily planned, I wouldn't take this to mean anything. On a side note, there is a white couple with a dark baby and what appears to be a black wife with a white baby, so their casting seems to have been pretty sloppy as well.
  11. In one of the episodes in the first season, Serena was talking to June about how that room got more natural light and that's why she was putting the nursery there. I think it was right before June told her she had gotten her period and Serena had one of her NO MORE WIRE HANGERS fits. So I think there's a sunny room in that house and we just never see it.
  12. Yeah, if we had smell-o-vision I would not be watching.
  13. I keep looking up in the middle of that commercial, and I couldn't tell if she was doing it in a restaurant. I don't get out much and if someone did that at the table I would lose my temper.
  14. Lisa said James lost weight. My Spidey senses are tingling.
  15. This is live chat. Pretty much anything goes here. Hugs <3
  16. I haven't been watching these reunion shows but I had to come back and check in with James.
  17. Yeah, it's been 3 years. That kid should be a lot taller at the very least.
  18. I'd like to see all of these. A book by Luke that another commander slams down on Waterford's desk, asking "WTF is this??" would be choice.
  19. I don't understand why Serena would go to all that trouble to save someone else's baby and then put the one that she is going to get at risk by trying to induce labor. This woman has more flip flops than a house of pancakes. There needs to be some good, concrete reason for them wanting to speed things along like this, otherwise this is just lazy writing done for shock value.
  20. We may find out differently later, but it's possible that Naomi is afraid of what will happen if she touches the baby. We don't really know much about the Putnams other than they don't seem to have much experience with children and Warren's extra activities with Janine. Naomi never seems comfortable with the baby and we know that horrible things happen to people in Gilead whether people are at fault or not. She's been handed this child, she seems to know nothing about childcare, her family has already had bad attention brought on them by Warren's actions, when they go out they're walking by hanged bodies and men with guns every 20 feet... who wouldn't be scared to do something wrong with the baby? She strikes me as someone who was always a little on edge to begin with and now she has this baby in the house that might get her into more trouble.
