  1. While @proserpina65 tries to find the link referencing Star Wars, for the actual chase, the DP, Pepe Avila Del Pino, mentioned Top Gun as one inspiration: Source: https://www.instagram.com/p/CkHRjPWupis/
  2. Is this what you're looking for? Scroll down for each doc of The House That Dragons Built then swipe all the way right to begin with episode 1's doc.
  3. I third The Mandalorian Not quite 2023 but looking forward to His Dark Materials coming early December. After that, The Wheel of Time whenever it makes its appearance. I also need to see the latest season of The Witcher and A Discovery of Wtches.
  4. Very insightful article into the characters of Alicent and Rhaenyra by Emma D'Arcy and Olivia Cooke: House of the Dragon’s Two Queens Would Rather Co-Rule Westeros - Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke relive Rhaenyra and Alicent’s season-one arc
  5. According to a FB post, he was an audio engineer on the show.
  6. "The idea that we control the dragons is an illusion" - Viserys Incredible shot. #perspective
  7. True but she still had a connection to all three.
  8. I saw it as their moment of connection. Although I read all the books for GOT, I haven’t yet read any books relating to HOTD, so I could also be completely off my rock.
  9. I wondered about this. In this age (HOTD), has anyone ever been able to claim more than one dragon? We know Danaerys could. Why couldn’t Damian possibly manage it?
  10. I found it more pragmatic than cute. A true dragon lord thinking ahead while trying not to be fried by a dragon he is not bonded to. I believe Vermithor to be the only dragon close in size to Vhagar? Note the sheer size of his head.
  11. New interview with Matt Smith re: portraying Daemon
  12. Definitely heed this warning if you don't like spoilers. I personally don't mind minor ones but just saw a major one (I already knew about it but still) and really wish I hadn't. This was on Twitter so stay away from that place for sure.
  13. I think this is one of my favorites of the episode 10 stills HBO released. IMO, Ewan really nails this character. Will put it in spoiler tags since the ep hasn't yet aired.
  14. For me, the way his character has evolved shows Krispy Kreme (to borrow @SilverStormm's nic - feel free to charge me a fee), has no concept of honor. Once or not, that was the final straw for me. I absolutely abhor the "C" word.
  15. Sometimes you make a choice to just sit back and enjoy a show. It may work, it may not. I work in the film industry so I've learned to turn certain parts of my brain off. Otherwise I'll be sitting there, picking things apart wondering how did they get this shot/location permitted to allow for this effect or how long did it take to get a specific shot and how many times did they have to re-set and do another take. This type of show is my favorite genre. I wasn't wild about GOT's final season but I have greatly missed the show. So although HOTD isn't perfect, I'm still enjoying the blazes out of it. The casting, the actors, costume design and especially the dragons, have been most intriguing. At some point you make a decision whether or not to stick with a show. If it doesn't work for you, that's okay. I for one will greatly miss this show after the final episode, including the back and forth discussions we share. It's going to be a long wait for season 2. Two years is a long time. I hope I'm still around to enjoy it.
  16. I was responding to you writing why did she go towards them. Then she turned to leave after making her point.
  17. Perhaps because they knew if they spoke up (even during the plotting phase), they'd end up like Beesbury.
  18. This is exactly why I posted earlier my concerns for how pliable Aegon will remain. Especially with his psychotic tendencies. He's now had a taste of power. I think it will only grow moving forward. Right there with you. Please add me to the club. I think it would matter to Rhaenys. Ser Harrold Westerling would be another who in turn will most likely make sure Rhaenyra and Daemon know & they will definitely care.
  19. You make some very astute points but for this bolded part. Is Aegon still pliable? Now that he's had a taste of being King? His volatile nature is very concerning.
  20. Anyone else catch the slight changes in the opening credits last night? I thought something had changed & apparently it did. According to Insider this is the first time the opening credits have shown a clear symbol for both Alicent, her three children, and now her grandchildren.
  21. Seriously. That scene with Larys and Alicent.
  22. I'm convinced several of them, including Daemond, have portraits stashed in their attics.
