  1. It's really something. Props to TBTB at CBS for fixing something that wasn't working. I don't think anything will unseat Frank. ABC doesn't care. I've been reading for months that the Y&R fans are fed up with Mal, they think he's the worst thing to happen to the show. They should try being a GH fan. Now that's bad. I've watched Y&R some in recent months because General Hospital is so unwatchable and I didn't think it was so bad. Compared to GH its a masterpiece. I see one of the biggest pet peeves for fans is the Rosales family. I like them. I like that they've been introduced as a family unit since the foundation of soaps are families. On GH we've gotten just as much disproportionate focus on Frank's newbies but they're all disconnected randos. I agree that for new characters the Rosales' have had maybe too much focus right off the bat but I'd trade them for Nina, Franco, Dr. Michael Easton, Parking lot Peter, and Kim in a heartbeat.
  2. Uh, hey Lulu and Laura, you're supposed to withhold things like ice cream and heaping praise when a child misbehaves not shower them with it. I get they were pleased she did the right thing but sheesh. I can't tell if Charlotte was legitimately apologizing or parroting what Lulu told her to Aiden, I guess we'll see. The scene with Aiden and Liz was so adorable. That little boy has played Aiden for so long he and Becky have a great chemistry. I doubt the writers at all have the skills to handle this storyline without messing things up. It's delicate no matter which way they go. I was hoping they would wrap it up today but it looks like Aiden is going to get more and more depressed :( Franco has Cam's phone and knows he's going to a drug deal. So instead of chasing after him and following him, he goes home. Ok. Kelly was extra sleepy today. When I start thinking SBu is really putting in an effort, the other actor has essentially gone to sleep. I didn't find their scenes romantic or cute. They were boring and awkward as usual. There's nothing standing in the way of their reunion, Sam doesn't even display any lingering feelings for Drew. They are the anti-soap couple. I wish Jason would fall back into the harbor and take Sam with him.
  3. Yeah, I had the same thought. Ugh. Maybe that's who Daisy will turn out to be. It'd be an absurd retcon but they've done worse let's be real. Maybe she got pregnant really young and couldn't raise the baby herself or she felt her con biz would suffer schlepping around a two year old. Not likely it's the latter, Sam doesn't get the bus anymore.
  4. I can't believe we're getting a random story on Sleepy Sam's con artist past from twenty years ago that was settled ten years ago while Drew has yet to retrieve one memory. This. Show.
  5. That clip was awkward city. How romantic, Jason chanced putting his arm on Sam's back to which she bristled and looked away in disgust. Sam proceeded to stand there like a frigid plank under his touch and scooted away at the earliest opportunity. Then it was Jason's turn to look at her with barely contained loathing. Must be love. Can't wait to see them spend Christmas together. What a treat that'll be. Maybe Sam will have food poisoning that day to hold off Jason's advances. They have got to let this couple go.
  6. Nina was on every single day this week. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. The coma baby lady. Monday-Friday. No wonder this show is circling the drain. Good lord.
  7. But Cam never got it and then told the dealer he didn't want it after all. He just made regular old brownies with Laura that of course Franco had to shove in his pie hole because he's a gross buffoon.
  8. I haven't seen LW on screen without a head tilt in over a year. The mass of that super mane literally weighs her head to one side. I get a crick in my neck just looking at her.
  9. BM is half asleep and barely audible unless its a scene with KeMo. I don't see any chemistry between him and TB and I never did. Margaux was a complete bust. But how much of it is this guy refusing to put in any effort in a scene, romantic or otherwise, unless he's filming with his bestie? Fuck off with that shit. If he can't do his job cut him loose. Its bad enough they coddle him with one year contracts as if he's so irreplaceable. I thought he was really good on AMC and when he guest starred on Justified. That's all I'd ever seen him in prior. He's good at being the bad guy. I don't know what happened but he's consistently underwhelming on GH. Watching him today with Kim, which I agree was a chem test, was painful. Where else is Drew going to go while Jasam is on its lumbering path to reunion? He could not have made his disdain any more obvious. He looked like he wanted to be beamed off the planet. KeMo isn't much better. They're like the acting equivalent of a a child that won't sit in their stroller. You know, after the kicking and screaming tantrum when they just go limp and slip to the ground and you can't move them, they're dead weight. They aren't going to help you get them in that stroller, forget it. BM is not going to sell it with any actress besides KeMo, forget it.
  10. He's spent the week hopping from one character to the next dispensing wisdom only a mafia don can offer. RME. At least they finally got him off the friggin' sofa and out of that living room for a bit. I did LOL when he got home and saw the scarf and tried to play it off with Carly. We've seen this movie before when it comes to mooby. I wish Carly would just say it instead of the same old hypocritical nonsense. Between Ryan's glorious smack down of Carly yesterday and Sonny reminding her that it was her stupid ass insanity plea that got her locked up in Ferncliffe today, I've never enjoyed Carly scenes so much. Keep em comin'! Yes, Margaux made some amoral choices in her pursuit to get Sonny but um, HE KILLED HER DAD. Maybe if she had conned Sonny under an alias and taken him for all he was worth because he's a "bad man" then skipped town she'd be sainted. Hey, it worked for Sam.
  11. The complete lack of action by the deck crew when Ashton went overboard makes me question how much they know/are responsible for. I wonder if Bravo, for liability purposes if nothing else, have additional crew members there that are more experienced to step in and handle things when needed. Like, for example, when a crew member is drowning and everyone on deck stands there with their mouths open. I know they said a camera man stepped in and he could be just a camera man that thankfully knew what to do, but it makes me wonder. The rest of the season looks amazing!!!
  12. I've tried to like Rhylee but I'm sorry she sucks and needs to go. Who the fuck does she think she is? Chandler was a tool no doubt but she is a confrontational malcontent that knows nothing and thinks she knows everything. She is combative with everyone, including her superiors. Ross could not address her or handle the confrontations she starts any better and she still thinks she has the right to scold him over it. Bitch is delusional. You just had a guy get caught on the lines standing on the deck, go in the water and nearly die. STAND THE FUCK BACK. WHAT IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND?! Ugh, go back to your boat in Alaska.
  13. Poor Ashton. Nearly dies, then has to drive himself back to the boat, alone. Thank God the camera man was there to think fast, release the line and save Ashton while every deck hand froze. Sheesh. The editing didn't make it look as dire as I'm sure it was. That was some scary stuff. Preparing to drown and/or lose your foot and bleed out is horrifying.
  14. If anyone believes this Jax "reformation" is legit I have some swamp land in Florida to sell you. The bar is literally on the floor for this guy. He's as ignorant and offensive as ever. He's tempered his emotions a bit after losing his dad and expects a medal and parade for all of sudden not being a complete dirtbag. He's still a narcissist and pathological liar. He's a man child with serious issues. I agree with Sandoval, this changed man act will wear off as his grief does. Lala is right, losing your parent changes you, I can tell you from personal experience. Everything is different. Things don't even look the same, it's utterly devastating, but you're still you. I believe Jax is devastated but he's still Jax. He still has a problem processing the simplest things and because he can't he rages or acts like a juvenile. I thought it was pretty low for him to out his mother like he did despite their strained current relationship. This is the woman who raised him and has put up with his crap for years. Does Jax not think he's done some things over the years that made his mother disgusted with him? She still lost her husband, she's grieving. People are complicated, they're imperfect, life is a gray area, Jax more than anyone should know this and has been forgiven countless times for far worse. It's another clue for me that his evolution into a decent human being has a ways to go.
  15. Watched yesterday's episode. I wish they'd bring Molly and TJ into the fold more. It seems an obvious move to utilize two twenty somethings that are actually likable and connected to the canvas. Especially when that demo is lacking. But alas, this is Frank's GH, and everything sucks. Side note. It's crazy how much Haley Pulos looks like NLG. They make a great mother daughter match. I think KeMo resembles Nancy too. LA also is a good cast for Alexis and Sonny's daughter. So kudos to the casting department.
  16. Agreed. I know everyone rags on Raquel and she's a little dim but what does that mean on this show? I doubt anybody in that cast could make change without a calculator or tell you who fought in the Civil War. She's blind willfully or legitimately when it comes to James but she's much younger than the rest of them and when they were where she is now all of them turned a blind eye to their partner cheating, cheated themselves, screwed over their best friends. They still do it in their 30s. Yeah being with James props her SM image, etc. so she lets stuff slide. No worse than Brittany, who would let Jax have an orgy in front of her if it meant keeping her spot on the show and she's treated like Mother Theresa. Just because Raquel's quiet and not an OTT obnoxious slob like the rest of them she's an idiot? She strikes me more than anything as very introverted and non-confrontational. The way Kristin and Hope ambushed her was terrible and cruel, I don't care what they say they got off on embarrassing her. Kristin self appointing herself karma police is ridiculous. And she's too stupid to realize the hypocrisy coming out of her mouth when she did the exact same thing to Tom and Stassi with Jax. Maybe you just sit this one out? She brings the crazy and drama but she absolutely has a James obsession, Raquel's talking head was spot on. Its not about doing the right thing its about her bitterness. James is garbage but lets be real, the entire cast is garbage. If James is week old sushi Jax is month old shit diapers on fire. Lala, the fierce feminist, RME, keeps James cheating on Raquel private until she has no use for him and it's the opportune moment to out him, then calls Raquel dumb, which was a mean low blow and she knew it would play on Raquel's insecurity, just as James did with Katie's weight. Just sayin', if Raquel was as nasty as the rest of them, or Lala, to get the upper hand in that exchange her come back would've been, and you're a whore who sleeps with married men. I know I sound like a Raquel stan, I'm not, I barley noticed her until this episode. It just really rubs me the wrong way when someone is ganged up on because others think they're an easy target, and then those same people bullying you claim the moral high ground. The fact Raquel got upset instead of combative made me feel even worse for her. Lastly, does Raquel remind anyone else of Connie Britton?
  17. I'd rather have parking lot Peter for another five, no ten, years than Nina for one more week. She's the worst. She makes me wish Carly was on. I wish they'd write Nina's coma baby as living in Paris and ship Nina over there to reconnect, never to be seen or heard from again. Of all the terrible, useless, dead weight newbies Frank has forced on us I think Nina's existence takes the cake and makes me the most ragey. MSt grates every single nerve in this role. I know its 99% likely Willow is Nina's daughter (ZZzzzz....) I can already feel the cringe of those two sharing a scene.
  18. And he's stuck between a Burton and Thompson. Can't be Jason on GH, can't go back to Y&R and be Billy. I can't think of an actor I've watched that looks like he gives less of a shit than BM. Even Mo has his own cue card reading way of "showing up."
  19. Oh yeah, the core four of suck will hijack this story and save the day same as always. Sonny will probably have the least to do with it. They save the "heroics" for Jason, Sam and Carly these days. And Franco. Oh my god, this show. The Godfather (I'm gagging) in his semi-retirement merely looks upon his subjects, passing ignorant judgement and offering up a convenient plot point or two from his sofa. Plus, there's a new petite brunette in town so Sonny is sniffing around elsewhere ATM. I doubt even Laura or Ava, whose daughter he murdered, will get a real chance to make Ryan pay or put him away. It should heavily involve Felicia and Lucy but its been made clear that Ryan's entire existence, origin, and motivations have been swapped for FV's reboot. Ryan 2.0. Like everything else since 2012, it's "Frank's Take" on GH history. Which equals totally butchering it.
  20. Loll You're not alone, I see it too. I don't think there are many warm and fuzzies going around set when it comes to Billy, Kelly and Steve. Well there is for Killy, we know that. There was also a brief moment in the Jasam sofa scene, where Sam smiled and said something cutesy to Jason I guess, its hard for me to capture much of their dialogue between Kelly's whispering and my natural habit of tuning them out, but it looked like Steve's mask slipped for a moment and he could. not. stand her. You're not going to sell this great love story of a reunion when your actors can barely contain their contempt for one another, show.
  21. Yeah, swing and a miss on the reaction to Kiki, but his scene with Ava was really good. Mainly because he shut up for once. He and MW always play well off one another. I hate Franco but he's at his most unbearable with Elizabeth. That whole relationship is so wrong on so many levels. Their interactions are always awkward. I know people like them together, I can't understand why, but their styles completely clash, imo. Becky had already been marginalized and Elizabeth thrown under the bus about a dozen times by the time she was put with Franco but I've always thought she was a good actress and played who Elizabeth is supposed to be very well. Friz, RoHo and his antics bring her down. She's always made second to him in a scene to begin with but his perpetual shtick on top of it makes me want to punch the TV. Stop eating. Stop yelling. Stop flailing. Stop ad libbing. Just. stop.
  22. I'm ready for the two of them to go on some abroad adventure together and be gone. Damn them for doing this to Anna. LOL. It was Dr. Drake Remoray-esque for sure. Griffin is weak, the writing is terrible but so is MC so, I don't know. I wish they'd try a recast and if that doesn't work 86 the character.
  23. MW is incredible, she puts them all to shame. We just mentioned Liz crying over Emily and this to me was even more powerful than that. Maura West absolutely nailed it. My mom and I both started crying. If you've been in a similar situation it was almost too real. Surprisingly they didn't bother me today with their reaction. Acknowledging the tragedy of two young people dying in the prime of their life and how senseless it is resonated. They sold me on how one loss often triggers memories of another. Aside from the silliness of how the police handled Griffin, one of the better episodes I've seen in a while.
  24. Me too. When she put her head on Emily's chest and just bawled, oh man. That was a powerful scene. IMO, killing Emily is probably the biggest mistake, character elimination wise, the show has made. And they've made plenty. Emily was a needed voice and had deep relationships with the integral characters and overall canvas. She nuanced them and made them better. In order to go even further with the terrible mob angle, and Jason's "stone cold-ness" (barf) they eliminated her because she was a balance against it. If Emily was around it would be a different show. Her death was one of those major turning points that you can call on as helping to dissolve the show into the crap its become.
  25. I agree, 1999 was the last year where the writing and acting was still great, but even then the show paled in comparison to the mid 90s. I watched the scene recently when Robin, who just found out she was HIV positive, dreams of Anna. FH came back to do this moving and powerful scene. I was crying like a baby. The writing and performances back then were exceptional. By today's standards 2000 was a masterpiece. And I still did enjoy the show then, but 2000 saw a major shift in the vibe and quality of the show. By the end of '02 it was entirely different. The Guza heyday and General Mobster commenced and its been consistently downhill since. I did like the chance to see an older, superior episode on television. There are youtube clips but its not the same. I actually wouldn't mind seeing this be a permanent thing. Take the show down to four days a week with a rerun on Friday. Or, like regular shows, give GH week long breaks and hiatuses here and there where they air classic episodes. Probably not going to be a popular opinion but at this point I'd be more excited to watch the old great episodes. It would free up budget, improve the ridiculous schedule they use to film, and possibly get old fans back watching. They'd see the promos for the current show and decide to tune back in. (Not likely with this current regime, but still) Hard to believe that a show thats been on 55 years with a barely workable budget doesn't utilize the vault more often than it does.
