  1. I remember them saying that Grandma was living near Ketchikan. According to distancebetweencities.net (I don't know how to link), the distance between Ketchikan and Homer is 1,886 miles. Another place I looked said it was 1,340 miles. Either way, I'm sure that's what they were talking about.
  2. In "A Good Man Goes to War", the Doctor said that it happened "Just before America". If you recall, starting with "The Impossible Astronaut" and going forward until this episode, we see little snips of Madame Kovarian looking at Amy through a hatch. Amy asks him about it and he says that it was reality bleeding through and "They must have taken you quite awhile back. Just before America."
  3. Don't you mean weekends at 3 in the morning?
  4. Same here! He's had my heart since he opened the Tardis door and told Strax to shush.
  5. Watching him for an hour as Dougal each week and then changing channels to "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" and seeing him as Dwalin may force me not to watch Hobbit movies while watching Outlander. http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1452910848/nm0574615?ref_=nmmi_mi_all_sf_22 Or not. He's kinda hubba hubba. I'll go to my room now.
  6. Watching this again. Tearing up again with him begging her to "see him". Ahhh, Cabaldi, you had me "Shush".
  7. I've been reading the posts and I may have missed it, but no one commented on this. I found it amusing when, at the dinner party, Heather mentioned something and it went to Shannon's talking head and she said Heather sounded like a broken record. She then launched into her own broken record recitation. Pot meet kettle and both of you zip it!
  8. You're welcome, ScoobieDoobs. As others have answered, yes, it's extremely easy to take off. :) With regards to the bad puns regarding amputation, I think it's up to the individual, but I have absolutely no problem with friends & co-workers making horrible puns at my stump's expense; however, people I'm not close with would be a different story. It's very much a YMMV situation. This comes from someone who has a selection of 6 different smart-ass t-shirts addressing the situation.
  9. Since I'm the token representative of the amputee contingency here, I'll step out there and say that I don't want her representing me! ha! Unfortunately, she seems to have gladly stepped into those shoes on her own. Its as if she decided that she would be the perfect spokesperson for amputees. Sweetie, you're a drama queen at a 3rd rate reality show. You're not even on the best of the housewife franchise. To give a little perspective on artificial legs, there are a few ways to keep them on. Her's looks to be below the knee? while mine is mid-thigh. When I put my leg on (now there's a sentence you don't hear every day), I put on a liner that has what looks like a 2" pin at the bottom of my stump. Then, I slide the leg on, the pin goes inside a hole inside the prosthetic that locks it in place. To take it off, all I have to do is push a button and I slide it off. Easy peasy. It's not a struggle. I'm so over Aviva. Oh! One last thing. When I had a bout of bronchitis, I was given the same huge inhaler to use. I don't have asthma. Just sayin' Edited because I realized I had much more to say....
  10. What worries me is, being raised with that attitude, Riley will have not only Crazy Granny, but Crazy Momma to bow down to.
  11. Episode 4.17 - "Privilege". Momma Walton herself (Michael Learned) played the grandmother.
  12. I've been watching the marathon today and said that exact thing about MJ to my husband. Every time he's come into the bedroom where I'm watching this, he's stayed a little bit longer and come in more often. The question is though, is she that good of an actress? Something I did notice about MJ from the reunion (especially) and on episodes here and there of the wedding shows - She would say something outrageous and then smile and look around like a 3 year old who just learned if she said "Shit!", there would be a reaction. Anyone else?
  13. Don't know about anyone else, but if I saw JohnnyBonds coming at me with a notebook, I'd go ahead and confess, whether I did it or not.
  14. I should have been clearer. It is part of the west, but when someone considers some place "backwoods" they seem to automatically go for either the inbred or Deliverance jokes. That's what I meant. Actually, it made much more sense in my head. I'm going to go hide now.
