  1. Someone smart and rational. No-nonsense but kind. Preferably in a happy relationship. No dark past, addiction issues, daddy issues, or personal drama just for drama's sake. As a queer person, I'd love to finally see an lgbt+ main character, this is Manhattan in 2019. And I hope it's someone Black or Asian. But in the end they should cast the most talented actor period, someone with a nuanced and subtle acting style.
  2. Chernuchin is determined to make his characters suffer. He even admitted to it in an interview this year. I get that some drama and personal conflict is necessary these days. But … Olivia's personal life has been non-existent since she broke up with Tucker. Carisi's still inexplicably single. Rollins' love life is in shambles, and she's expecting her second baby by a sketchy and/or unavailable father. And on top of that the ADA's is sleeping around willy-nilly? Seriously? How hard is it to have one, just one, character with a healthy, stable personal life?? I guess that would be Fin, but we never hear about it *at all*. In real life, NYPD cops and state attorneys are all about family values etc. I just don't buy SVU's version. It's getting frustrating.
  3. I don't think Amanda's and Kelli's actual pregnancy are supposed to follow the same timeline. Kelli's very visibly in her second trimester, but Amanda's co-workers are still guessing whether she's pregnant or not.
  4. The novel it's based on is decent. And they're still shopping the pilot around. Fingers crossed! I miss seeing Raúl on the small screen
  5. Olivia Benson Lied to Us: NYC Lawmakers Seek to Reform the NYPD’s Sex Crimes Unit We know the show is absurdly unrealistic, but I didn't know it was that bad.
  6. They filmed a scene where Fin asks for Carisi for some "hypothetical" legal advice, but they deleted it. It was released on Youtube though.
  7. Probably Laura Ingraham, she actually goes to protests.
  8. Watch the new interview with Peter Scanavino. He says that Barba was more than a co-worker to Carisi and that he respected/loved him. Past tense. I think Raúl's leaving.
  9. I don't even blame Mariska for wanting to look younger. I wouldn't even comment on this. But at this point it's seriously affecting her ability as an actress. Her facial expressions are so ... limited. Stuck. This! I miss Van Buren so much. Tough, fair, compassionate, rational!
  10. From feminist icon to edgelord, oh boy. I, too thought it was out of character. But on the other hand, people in the real world fuck up sometimes, they aren't walking PSAs. Glad they deleted it. Here's the video btw.
  11. @shapeshifter You're right . And I really, truly, sincerely wish this would apply here... but Mariska has more influence than Epatha Merkerson, Chris Meloni, etc. combined. She's not going anywhere.
  12. Now that I had time to think about it ... William Dodds planning his revenge on Benson for 2+ seasons does seem badass + awesome. But why do I get the feeling that it was an inpromptu decision, not planned all along. kinda cheapens the thrill. the whole reason why Barba/Benson get so much screen time is because Raúl's eating out of Mariska's hand. I don't blame him. He makes at least 10k per ep. The hand that feeds you and shit. But there's just no in-canon reason why they should be more than work friends.
  13. I'd hate it if they decided to throw William Dodds under the bus and turn him into Mean Guy. We've seen variations of this three times already this season (Sheila, Cassidy, and Langan.)
