  1. Voyager also had: Eye of the Needle Non Sequiter Before and After Year of Hell Relatively Fury
  2. Why bother? 2 years between new shoes, no 911 lead in and only 12 episodes? If this isn't intended to be the final.seasom it likely will be anyway.
  3. They're likely here to stay. CBS wantEd to make Wednesday all reality but had a massive flop with Real Love Boat. Rather than take a risk on another dud it's easier to keep the two work horses at 90 minutes.
  4. Lol. Cirie ain't doing nothing related to Big Brother ever again. Even her reality show game gave couldn't mask her disdain in her exit interview with Julie. It's going to be Cam or Jag, the comp beasts of the season. My money is on Cam especially after winning AFP. So is this supposed to unfold live with the players living in the house for two weeks or is it going to be taped?
  5. I don't have FB or anything like that but I assume MM does. Has anyone been commenting on how bad this show is and asking why she lowered herself to do it?
  6. I always watch the later showing of Food Network shows. Lately they've been starting the Sunday second showing at 1 am instead of midnight, instead showing a rerun of something from last year at midnight. I have no idea why they made such a stupid decision. It's bad enough starting at 1 on a regular week but it's ridiculous on a 2 hour week. Since I missed the second episode, I'm not sure how they framed it for the challenge, but the Abominable Snowman was part of the Island of Misfit Toys Rudolph Christmas special. Guess y'all are too young to know about that. Now get off my snow covered lawn! Why are there assistant here but not on Halloween? Whoever is setting up the format of these isn't taking their meds regularly. I'm so over Aarti. I love Shinmen but I'd even welcome a different pair of judges altogether. It's just a long run of them and their critiques / styles, especially with them being the only judges. At least with Carla going from Halloween to Christmas there are two different judges as well as a different host.
  7. The carpet was a crazy choice but so was the chair. Anything fabric and heavy curves should have been an instant no. The TV was deemo "difficult" but it was mor e like impossible. Even the brick masters didn't offer and ideas on how it's t could have been done during their critique. The record player was ok but the record itself was awful. Even spinning it looked a blocky record from Superman's Bizarro world. What was the point of having last year's winner if the bottom 2 weren't going to come from the ones that didn't pass inspection? Pretty sure she was told what to find and since it was only two (with one wrong answer to throw you off fix) so I expected those to be the bottom. And they should have been. I have no doubt they love the villain team but they still wouldn't have gone home. I knew the grandfather team would be gone this week. The whole "it's a tie!" felt like an ass pull. I assume they Pappi wasn't coming back at the end of the last episode but rather than eliminate another team and then immediately bring them back this week they went with the more positive angle of everyone did so well it was a tie.
  8. After the severe disappointment of the first couple of episodes I never made any effort to watch this embarrassing trainwreck. I happened to catch an episode the other day about a film crew being kicked of a campsite for underage drinking. It seemed slightly--and I emphasize slightly--less staged and cartoonish than the early episodes so I thought maybe someone saw how bad it was and was trying to improve it. The description of this episode tells me...NOPE!
  9. The judges were rotating in the first few seasons. Ree was always the head judge but the other two were always rotating guests judges. Gesnene Prado and Dan Langan were two who were on several times. I think Aaarti was in the mix. Maybe the cookie woman who co-hosts the Halloween Cookie show too. It was the first Covid season when they switched to Eddie and Ree being both co-hosts and co-judges and they never returned to the old format. I just don't remember at what point they dropped the fifth initial contestant.
  10. I wish they would have waited a week to start this. It was a little jarring to turn on FN and see a Christmas cookie show when I had just been watching Halloween stuff.
  11. Jose was on the one of the gingerbread house challenges. I think the Halloween one but he might have been on the Christmas one (the original one, not the one that's an offshoot of Holiday Baking Championship and hosted by Jesse). He may have been on this show in an earlier season too but I know he was on one of the House shows because he had a baking partner. This show used to have 5 initial bakers and two were eliminated after the first round (the Halloween version always started with 4). Did this one go down to 4 this year? I can't keep track, especially when they're mixing in constant reruns of prior years.
  12. Both pieces were good but I agree not the most memorable pieces of a finale or even this season. I still remember the first season when they turned that Atlantic Giant into some hell beast that a pumpkin devil was riding. I am really sick of the "omigosh that's so risky....aaaaaaa it's going to fall!!" Like take an effing Xanax ladies, it's sugar not cocaine. I also wish they'd stop have the judges go into the kitchens. I don't like them distracting them but i really, really hate them offering critiques and advice. They need to do the work on their own, then get judged. What's next, are the loser going to get participation awards on the way out? Jonathan being back is a huge help but they still need to fix the judging panel. Aarti's ok but I don't like her here. She's not a pastry chef, sugar artist and doesn't have a background in horror. If if they don't bring back the rotating third judge they need to bring back Todd or someone in the same vein as his predecessors. Also, they really need to stop with the randomness of the small scare. I have no idea what the point is of just including it whenever.
  13. I didn't get what Super Freak had to do with magic either. Definitely a weird night. The top two and bottom two were definitely flipped. No way Hawk and Tiki belonged in the bottom in that group. Definitely pre-planned hijinx, but then Tyler mentioned being hurt not going farther so I wonder how in on the planning all the celebrities are. Robin's Too Cool for School attitude really bugs. I can see them approaching him about a Harry Potter costume and him shutting them down fast.
  14. They tried to make it sound like a 4 way race but Ethan and Rebecca's, while good, weren't on the same level. Ethan's was fourth to me. Very monotone and he didn't really meet the challenge because nothing really said "parade float" Elements of Chaminda's were really good but I thought Dan's was an overall better piece. The Devil and the Cerberus were really well done and I thought his carving as the the best use of the Atlantic Giant.
  15. That explanation was definitely looped in in post production. I thought it sounded like Jonathan but that he was shouting it for some reason. Something was definitely off there. I don't know why they were making such a big deal about how draining the small scare is. Teams did it for a decade before all the recent changes and it was part and parcel of the show. This season still feels a little wonky with elements dropping in and out at random (the "house" delivering challenges, the small scare).
  16. Ugh. They should have made it a rule that the winner can't tell anyone with a penalty they're overthrown if they do. They know these idiots can't keep a secret and would automatically ruin this twist. I'd love to see an HOH forced to make a decision on their own and not have noms by committee for once. Hell Cam and Bowie did better jobs of stealth noms (at least initial noms) without a power.
  17. The signal on my Fox station was a mess so I had a hard time following. Why did the team have to give up the golden brick? Did they have to elect to use it before judging and the had no idea their effects would fail so spectacularly? Did we really have a team that didn't get their talking head bio until episode 3? I'm assuming so since I had no idea who those guys were. I thought it was like when those young guys just randomly popped up in the middle of the season.
  18. Please tell me they're no going to sing with every build? It's like contestants on cooking shows who add a non-required beverage. It's not going to help you in the judging. Actually the alcohol might have a slim chance of helping...the singing can only hurt. These two need to go immediately. I don't find Team Shark Tank quite as annoying but if all their builds are going to be startup pitch themed that's going to get old quickly. I did like the layout of mechanical fish in their build, as apparently their kitten did as well.
  19. Eh, it's CBS' rule. If they really want a winners season they can make an exception. Not arguing for or against but this isn't an FCC mandate; they can raise, lower or ignore the percentages. Honestly, I think they'd have a hard time filling out a cast of winners period unless it's an abbreviated season along the lines of Celebrity BB. I don't see them getting 16 of their winners back. Maybe if they picked from winners and runner ups.
  20. Cirie is really over this, isn't she? The upshot is, she's no longer the All Seeing Narrator of the Season anymore. I wonder if CBS what CBS promised her (carrot) or threatened her with (stick) to not DOR. She has an entirely different personality than I've seen her have on other shows. She's been annoyed and given jabs at people in other other shows but she just down right hates everyone. There's absolutely no joy or fun left in her (TBH, I don't miss the evil cackling when the tide was rolling her way). This format is clearly not for her.
  21. Yes Geoff was Duffs right hand. I thought it was mentioned on the last Vs challenge he doesn't work for Duff anymore but came back for the show but I might be mixing that up someone else.
  22. Ralph works with Buddy. He's his main assistant on Buddy vs. Duff. I assume he still works at Carlos. The less said about his hair the better At least it doesn't look like a cocks comb this time. FN tried a hard push on Buddy after they were bought but Discovery but he hasn't been seen much lately so I was a little surprised to see him show up here. He's definitely the more negative judge to the point where he was getting annoying with his "it's good but...". The other judge seems more supportive while sometimes being sternly critical. Maybe it's the editing. But then again they had that woman who works with Buddy as a judge on Holiday Wars a few years back and she was a terror with her critiques.
  23. I'm pretty sure the jury "house" is going to be a couple of cots in the now vacant Bob Barker studio. Meals will consist of left behind Rice a Roni.
  24. I love that after the bitching and moaning about Izzy's evicting--to the point where I thought we were one step away from The Fiendship Redux - Electric Bugaloo--Cirie is throwing Izzy under the buss for screwing up their game. I would love for them to give Cam a puzzle just like Kaitlin's, except his would have at least 4 extra pieces for the hair. What the hell are they supposed to do for the next 6 days with absolutely no game to be played? We've had Fast Forward weeks (which are just renamed DEs) before but for a milestone season they thought it was a good idea to introduce...the Pause? Like damn, give them something..a Pinocle tournament, a Holloween bake off. Something to force these monkeys to dance for our entertainment. At this point they might as well put the "We'll be back" screen for the week.
  25. Julie looks like she's cosplaying Ms. Swan from MadTV. Maybe they're doing a revival and she's planning on auditioning. Seeing Cam's response to being told he was a zombie made me wish he had been evicted when he could have been told about Jared and Cirie. He would have given us the reaction we've been wanting. I was glad everyone held fast against Cirie and Jared. I thought a couple of them might fall back under her spell. But even Felicia didn't really interact with her in the hall. So there's still two to go before jury. Cam or Jared next week and then whoever goes the week after. If Jared doesn't get back in, does Cirie DOR to avoid sequester prison?
