Awww poor Mark :( He definitely did not look happy in Emma’s IG story post. It sucks cause the judges were kind of unfare to him and Lindsey the whole season up until this week. It was like they were trying to make amends, but too little too late. I wonder what would have happened if they had gotten the scores they deserved week in and week out. Oh well, can’t do anything about it now, and in the end it’s just a trophy.

I did not see his face after the package, what did he look like? And I think he was mouthing to BC. At least that’s what it looked like when comparing the TV version to her Instagram story. I feel so bad for him and Lindsey because I know how bad they wanted it. I am happy for Jordan and Lindsay though, they deserved it, especially Lindsay. Tbh I don’t think I’ve ever cried this hard at a finale. The whole night was emotional. Tears of joy for Jordan/Lindsay, tears of sadness for Lindsey/Mark.

Ooo I’d love to have Calvin and Nancy back especially if they are paired with Lindsay and Artem respectively. I’d also like to see Paige back, I didn’t watch her season but what I saw of her I think I’d like!

It’s pretty great! In fact, the whole album that the song is on is pretty great! Puttin on the Ritz is one of my favorite songs so I was disappointed with the version they used last night. Sounded too hip hop for my tastes.

Wow! What is it with all the bitterness towards Lindsey? What did the poor girl ever do to you? Maybe I’m just biased because Mark and Lindsey are my favorites, but that girl has gotten a lot of hate this season. As for last night really only her freestyle and Drew’s freestyle stuck out to me. At the end of the day I like to be entertained and they are the ones that entertained me. Yes, Drew’s wasn’t great technically, but it was fun and silly and true to him. I also liked the part where Emma stopped the dance, I thought it was funny. As for Lindsey, so what if it’s similar to her shows? I personally do not think it was, but that’s just me. It was creative, fun, fierce, and really just entertaining. I had been waiting on that freestyle all season and it did not disappoint. I also liked her quickstep and Jordan’s charleston. I was disappointed in his freestyle though which is a shame because I was really looking forward to it. Lindsay has choreographed some pretty epic freestyles (I love Alek’s and Calvin’s), but this one was just meh. Like others have said it felt generic and bland. It would have been interesting if she incorporated something personal, like maybe they could have danced to one of his songs or a song from Grease like Grease Lightning, etc. However, he is still a terrific dancer. As for Frankie, Whitney should have totally done a spy-themed dance where he reprised his role of Agent Cody Banks or something. Would have been true to him and I think would have been a crowd pleaser. I also don’t get the comments made about Jordan being cocky. I don’t think he is, I actually find him charming. He is confident, but I think he is humble as well. The way I would describe him is that he’s a smooth talker. He just seems well-rehearsed like many have said. Is that due to his media training? Perhaps, but I know people who are not media trained who have a similar personality to Jordan. They just know how to say the right things and when to say them. He seems more genuine than Frankie. I really want Mark/Lindsey to win, but will be totally fine with Jordan/Lindsay. I love both Linds(a)(e)ys, so in the end I don’t really care. Will I be sad if Lindsey/Mark doesn’t win? Yes, but I’ll be happy for Jordan/Lindsay. To me it comes down to entertainment and Lindsey/Mark have entertained me the most. To me, they’ve had more memorable dances between their VW, AT, Jive, Freestyle, and even their Paso Doble when she was injured. The only ones I can vividly remember of Jordan’s are his rumba and jive. But that’s just me. I personally find dance by itself to be quite boring, I like to be wowed and showed amazing dancing too, and to me Lindsey and Mark have done that consistently. However, as long as it’s Mark/Lindsey and Jordan/Lindsay as the last two standing I’ll be happy. Their placement is interchangeable to me. Side Note: Did anybody else not like the version of Puttin on the Ritz that Jordan and Lindsay danced to? Maybe that’s why I didn’t like his freestyle. I much prefer the OG or Robbie William’s version, which is similar to the original. I only remember them mentioning it yesterday, and even then I don’t think they said anything about being tired. But we only see and hear what we want to see and hear I suppose...

I fail to see where they were complaining about being on tour...And just because she is on tour doesn’t mean she is less dedicated than the others. Drew’s been filming for his shows, does that make him any less dedicated? You seem to imply that it doesn’t.

That’s true. Although I think the chord is very hard to see, especially if you are wearing all black. Regardless, I think she was still playing the part even if it wasn’t the actual music we were hearing. But we can debate this back and forth, they’ll probably never tell us one way or the other because it will ruin the illusion. In the end it doesn’t really matter to me, because it was amazing no matter what!

I know some were wondering if Lindsey was playing the violin in her freestyle. I played violin for a long time, not as well as she does, and I went back and watched the dance and am pretty sure she was playing at least in the beginning. Not sure about when Mark was spinning her around. Regardless, it’s a lot harder to fake playing an instrument than to actually play it. Trust me, I know. I’ve faked my way through a couple of concerts before. ?? Can’t they just give it to both couples? I know that’s impossible, but surely they can manipulate it somehow! Lol

I agree, I think she is being set up to fail, and I will be pretty mad if she doesn’t at least come in second. No way are Drew or Frankie better than her. Not only did she get an iconic dance that she was in no way going to match up to because she has a totally different style from Meryl, but she has also been, I think, underscored. Not just in terms of actually being underscored, but in terms of the judges’ comments not matching their scores. For example, on Disney Night, Carrie Ann said she had one of the best holds she had seen and praised her dance, but gave her a 9. Then, Len proceeded to praise her this week, saying that it was a terrific dance, but also gave her a 9. It’s one thing to do this, but the thing is they never give her constructive criticism, such as things to improve on. Which is even more annoying because how are you supposed to improve if no one tells you what you need to improve on? (I’m sure Mark is helping her to improve). Or rather, how are you supposed to please the judges when you don’t know what they want? So yes, I think she has been set up, which as annoying as it is, is just the reality of reality tv. Here’s hoping she’ll surprise us and win!

I agree with your post except for the criticizing part. I think the only time they have really “critiqued” her was last week with her samba, otherwise it’s been praise, praise, praise, “9” which is even more annoying, because how are you supposed to improve if you aren’t given critiques? Len praised her contemporary tonight, “you’re a terrific dancer”, “that dance blew me away”, etc etc. and then proceeds to give her a 9, like really? It’s like you said, what does the girl have to do, cure cancer? Become a pro dancer? I like Jordan and I think he’s a terrific dancer, but he is being pushed by the show. It would be nice for Lindsey and Mark to be the “surprise” win. I think she has the fan base to do it.
