My guess is Jalyn bought a house and is moving into it. Didn't she ask for a lawyer recently to look over a contract recently? In context, there were before/after photos and that was the description for the before and she had upped her calories and lowered exercise for the after and was still obviously in great shape. She was the one calling the before excessive restriction and exercise. I personally think it's more responsible to be honest about the amount of effort that goes into a figure like hers than to pretend she's 'born that way'.

My impression of her post was that that was what she was doing as a DCC and she has since increased her calories and cut down gym time and still looks amazing. But that was my interpretation - she didn't say that explicitly. It very much fits into the idea that DCC is actually a full time job. I can see why some (most?) women would find that overwhelming.

Milan spoke out about how Kitty ripped into her about not trying out for Show Group because she didn't have time with college. Then the show spun it like she was sad about not being able to try out when she was actually emotional over being yelled at. Can't let the truth get in the way of the brand.

It's interesting after watching the '05 special that Kelli used to let people go in the exact way I wish she would now - tell them they're cut first and then give them the reasons and tell them what they were good at. It does make it look like all this dramatic dancing around the issue is more for building show suspense which is unfortunate and looks unprofessional. Bring back blunt, direct Kelli and a Judy who actually shared opinions, I say!

I feel like in previous years, candidates have posted their solos on social media. Bit bummed to not have seen any. It's the best part of auditions. The snippets they show on the show aren't enough to get an idea of their dance ability - especially when they have to dub over different music for copyright.

Aww yay Jinelle! Not to brag, but there's no community transmission in the state she's in, so she could have had a normal wedding if she wanted. It's just that everything is booked out. Also, that's horrible for Jordan. Poor bub 😢

I keep seeing everyone refer to Hannah as being rude or sulky. To me she looked like someone who braced herself for some bitter news, knew the reasoning was absolute bullshit, and just wanted to get it over quickly without crying. I thought Brennan gave them more snark, and all power to her. How out of touch are Kelli and Judy that they wouldn't realise the veterans would immediately message each other about cuts? Kelli needs to watch Moneyball. There's a conversation where Brad Pitt's character is teaching the other guy how to let the players know that they've been traded or cut. His advice was keep it short, succinct, and to the point. Dragging it out doesn't help the situation. You could really see this in Lily's cut where she had to confirm with them that that's what the conversation was about. Just tell them they're cut and then tell them why and why it was a difficult decision. All this "it's coming to a close" and "the votes aren't falling in your favour" is just filler to make it seem more suspenseful on television. It's cruel to the women and makes Kelli look unprofessional.

I'm still salty about last year. And I'll probs still be salty about it next year. For example: does anyone else remember LSU Kat who didn't make it into training camp despite being amazing in her audition? Because I do. My other observation from this year is that I like VK much more when they don't feature her talking.

So I haven't seen the most recent episode but in the last one, I was specifically looking out for Hannah dancing. There were quite a few clips of her dancing with her group (loved this) and apart from the one stumble they featured, she was her powerful self. Like Kat was doing really well and I thought they looked comparable. And they were both sooooo much more noticeable than Tess, which I'm sure surprises exactly no one. Also when Jalyn's group turned around to begin their dance, she was the first one I noticed. Not SG material, my ass.

So last time I stuck my head in there was the drama over Lily/Brennan/Meredith/HANNAH being booted. Am I now to understand that Rachel W is point??? Erghh.... I mean she's pretty but just... lifeless. I think I must be the anti-Kelli because Hannah and Jalyn were/are my faves and I thought Lily was a sweetheart. Plus I thought Sheridan's response to being called out for saying 'girl' was hilarious and showed some personality.

So I took a hiatus because no show this year and just popped my head in to see how training camp was progressing. @ByTor how you coping with the loss of Brennan? Let me get my espresso martini and get stuck into this.

That was the cringiest episode of MTT that I can recall. Bring back Vivian and her stupid poems. I can see why Lisa made the team, hardly any of the others could formulate a coherent response to a question.

I'm so jealous of everyone who gets to watch season 1 and 2. I have most of the other seasons (and have watched them to death) but it would be nice to see them in non-grainy versions.

Kristin Hager was cut her second year at tryouts for weight gain but re-auditioned in Season 3 and made the team again. Not sure what happened after that. Jenna Brooks was also cut her second year at tryouts for weight gain. She re-auditioned pretty recently but didn't make training camp. Your stats for Kamillah and Morgan are correct.
