  1. At this point I don't know how he could figure it out. I know you're a big Iris fan, as I am, but think about it...Fake Iris has not really tipped her hand at all, except for Joe chastising her this episode for not being attentive. There's been no scenes other than Barry looking into the mirror strangely. Yeah, she could cook a few episodes back, but I never bought that Iris was a bad cook. That seemed to be a cute "newlywed" joke the writers saddled her with. Unless Fake Iris starts showing some serious uncharacteristic real Iris traits, there's no reason for Barry to be suspicious.
  2. I've got the all time classic Home Ec story. High school, freshman year, the old bat teacher (she had to have been 85) told us we had to do all our work in class because she could tell the difference in stitch if we took it home to work on. I didn't know anything about sewing and everyone in the class did, or said they did, so the teacher taught a more advanced class. All semester I did nothing but rip seams, because I kept sewing the wrong sides together. Nobody in my family knew how to sew nor anyone in the neighborhood, so one full semester went by and it was time to present our "creations". The teacher warned us if we didn't show up for class, no matter the excuse, we would get an "F". So one student after another goes up to her desk and she reviews their work, and praises them all to the heavens. Then comes me. My jumper had no armhole facing, no neck facing, no hem, and no zipper. All I did was stitch up the shoulders and the sides, LOL. She looks at it and says "What is this? What is THIS?" She kept rolling it in a ball and finally threw it back at me. Yeah, I still got the "F" AND I humiliated myself. It did work out for me by not staying home because I wound up with perfect attendance through high school...never missed a day all 4 years. I know it seemed like 20 years later I saw the teacher's obituary. Couldn't believe it. She had to be well over 100!
  3. And not every over 50 year old wants to look like a reject from a Hee Haw revival. I've gone over and over Sergio's collection, and I can only find 3 outfits that don't look like they should be sold at a discount barn in Branson, Missouri.
  4. Speaking of Christian, I've really liked the fact he was the mentor this season. I hope he stays on. To me it felt like Tim Gunn was phoning it in the last few years...like he became more important than the show. He also has a much sterner demeanor which could be intimidating to the designers. Christian struck a good balance of humor, creative insight and accessibility.
  5. Yeah, what was up with him? Whereas Amber looks like she just came from a spa, Barnett looks puffy and a little ... hangdog. He doesn't look like the experience was 100% positive for him a year and half later. She looks EXACTLY like Kate Upton. I wondered during all her drinking bouts if she realized that would not look good to current AND potential customers. Not smart. I am surprised, too. I just don't see a fit there. I can't figure Barnett out. I've worked with many engineers, and if he's a chemical/mechanical/electrical/civil type engineer, they are soooo anal. Very precise and detailed. He's kind of a blob. For a guy who is very popular with women, he doesn't seem to have much of a personality.
  6. That had to have been hard to watch. At times it was hard for me to watch. I do think she experienced some personal growth...or at least personal insight into her character. She did acknowledge that she drank way too much on the show, and that she had a tendency to go after guys that didn't seem interested in her. That's huge. Same with Kelly who said she seems to automatically put guys in the friend zone too soon. I was disappointed the most in Mark, who I really liked. Kenny seemed to be holding back, like he promised himself he wouldn't slam Kelly or reveal anything. But Mark still doesn't really think Jessica did anything wrong. Maybe he's just a really great guy and only looks at the best in people. I liked how Diamond presented herself at the reunion. She was classy. The short time she was on the show was more "I'm a prize...you better get down on your knees every day and thank God you were lucky enough to get me". She truly wants to find love and get married, and I hope she gets that opportunity.
  7. Brittany was behind her and had her hand covering her mouth in delighted surprise, so I'm thinking the winner was either Geoffrey or Nancy, with Victoria a possibility. Just the happy looks on all the former PR designers from present year and back tells me it wasn't Sergio.
  8. I have to disagree with you on that one, and it pains me to say it because I don't care for Sergio in the least. His creation from one of the first shows, where they had to make an outfit out of Christmas ornaments, wreaths, wrapping, etc., was incredible, probably one of my favorite designs from anybody all season.
  9. Because the show insists every guy has to put Kara/Supergirl on a pedestal and do nothing but praise and adore her.
  10. Totally have the opposite feeling. I try to FF his scenes whenever possible. Especially since they are showing flashbacks of his history. This just reminds me so much of Devoe and how that character took over the whole show, IMO.
  11. Which of the two women in the picture is Victoria's mother? And does anyone know the year(s) she was a DCC?
  12. Oh, sorry, LOL...what is the network name? I'm blanking on it.
  13. And while they are very pretty, so are almost all the women who have worn that uniform. Just off the top of my head I'd say KaShara is just as pretty as Meredith. Madeline, Bret, Julia...they were way more qualified than Kat and Meredith. So much has been said on the unfairness of this, but it was DCC and CW's decision to feature these two so much, and in doing so we all saw how really undeserving they were to even make it to TC. There's tons of girls who've made the team over the years that we didn't even know about, because CW never featured them. They should have followed that pattern with K&M. Does anyone else feel the show this season has gone on much longer than in previous years? This puppy should have ended at least 2 episodes ago. It seems there's been a lot of padding this time around.
  14. Kelly could have saved herself a lot of problems if she'd just called Julia into her office right after the media debacle, showed the tape, said it was unacceptable and that she was off the team. Bing, bang, boom...dust her hands off and one less person to worry about. Instead, she chickened out and called it a "teachable moment". Then threw that teachable moment right back in Julia's face a couple weeks later when she didn't have any real reasons to cut her. Shame on Kelli for that. Shame on the CW for their assist in trying to show Julia in a bad light. The CW has NEVER shown a candidate cursing...in fact to my recollection they've been meticulous in editing everything out that would allow the audience to be able to lipread anything the girls say to each other. I guess now the girls have to worry about that, too. LOL, I was going to use the term "gaslighting" when writing about how I feel Julia was treated by the show, but I wasn't sure of the definition so I googled it, and this picture popped up. Amazing resemblance of someone, dontcha think?
  15. There's been several times over the years I couldn't understand Kelly's picks and cuts, but there always seemed to be some logic to it even if I didn't like it. But this year, with Kat and especially Meredith, it's soooo obvious neither should have made it past the 3rd week of TC yet they are still here. Judy, to her credit, consistently calls them out on their mistakes. But I've never seen Kelly so "accommodating" to candidates that clearly don't have the right stuff. I like Kelly and feel she's a good person and just wants to field the best team possible. Of course she has favorites...we've seen that in the past. But to give these 2 women so many chances and extra training and excusing glaring and consistent problems...that I don't get. Especially with Meredith. It's just one mistake after another. She's awful on the field, bad with the media, and can't pose well for a decent picture. What's next...she forgets directions to the stadium on game day? Someone upstairs wants Meredith on the team. If so, why does CMT focus on her so much? You'd think the DCC would tell them to back off and ignore her like they've done with many rookies in the past. Why show all her problems and then...and this is not a spoiler cause I don't know...award her a spot on the team in the end?
