[S06.E13: The Day of the Wedding]

This is a dumb thing to take away from the episode, but every time they showed Madison, I kept thinking, "that's how she did her hair for a wedding?" A middle part, low ponytail? Lol. No hate on the ponytail itself, but maybe at least add some volume to the top and hike it up a bit higher? It just looked like she didn't finish getting ready.

Also, the show used to have a storyline about Jack and his alcohol abuse. If I remember correctly, it was pretty serious -- including him drinking on the way home from the hospital with the 3 babies when they were born. The past few episode flashbacks which are, what? -- six years later? He is casually enjoying beer and wine on dates with Rebecca. Is this realistic for someone who was an alcoholic? To contrast, it seems Kevin has been in recovery for a long time. I genuinely don't know much about the nuances and timelines of alcohol abuse, so maybe it is realistic to have a problem but then be able to drink again several years later without it being an issue. Anyone have any insight?

[S26.E10: Week 9]

Holy moly.

This whole thing reminded me SO much of my narcissistic/sex addict/bipolar ex. He even vaguely resembles Clayton so it was surreal to watch. 
 

If she was just trying to be the next bachelorette, and that helped Susie get out of this situation, good for her. I’m happily married with a baby on the way, and still discussing the narcissistic abuse and gaslighting I went through in therapy, years and years later. 
 

Also, the word “relationship” has gone from the actual word, to “relayship,” and now I’m sure I hear just “layship” on this show. Lol.

2021 is now the year of bachelor world making a point to call out/make examples contestants that are "wrong reasons". First Thomas (bachelor goals - though it didn't work out too bad for him), then Brendan/Piper, now whatever his name is. I rarely side with production but they have a point, which is, just hide it better. People are getting sloppy. Two binders with loose pages of typed and hand labelled notes with misspellings? Dude. How bad is your reading comprehension that you can't just remember the basic content. It is literally not rocket science. 

Maybe I'm nuts but there's something about Clayton's mouth / nose shape &  ratio remind me of Bill Clinton. It's very disconcerting. But if they were related it wouldn't shock me.

Michelle seems lovely and most of her guys are pretty cute, so I'm looking forward to this season. 

Wait, yes to Clayton looking like Bill Clinton!! I thought he reminded me of someone, but I couldn’t think of who. It’s def Bill Clinton. 
 

I think Clayton is a lot more attractive on camera than he is in his headshot they’ve been showing when saying he’s the next bachelor.

When Kate called her boss to resign, my husband said, "Oh, she's going to get with that guy now?" I didn't think much of it until the end...hubby totally called it! 

The bridesmaid dress thing was ridiculous. I could see maybe altering her hair or makeup if she wasn't feeling it, but the dress was a bit of a stretch.

You’re absolutely right. I’ve opened 6 restaurants, and usually their projected opening is delayed, sometimes multiple times. I’ve never opened one that was scrambling to put everything together and still finalizing the menu on opening day. Lol.

[S25.E09: Week 9]

Well, this episode was boring as sh*t, BUT, it was kind of nice that they weren't all shouting over each other and actually seemed to let each other finish their sentences. I've turned it off in previous seasons when they all start yelling at the same time, it's just too much. 

I'm not sure how I feel about Victoria, but when she was talking about the memes about her, and people making fun of her online, and how she doesn't let it get to her...she definitely scored a point or two in my book. It surprises me sometimes what people take to heart and consider bullying these days, although I do agree people should try and be kinder to each other in general.

These ladies did seem to bring out the worst in one another. Although, this was filmed during the pandemic, which seemed to bring out the worst in a lot of people anyway.

[S05.E07: There]

Okay, if Kevin's twins are around Little Jack's age...in the flash forward with old Rebecca, we saw two very young kids that are presumably Kevin's. Is it possible one of Kevin's twins was a teen mom or dad, and those kids in the flash forward are Kevin's grandkids? Would that make sense on this show's timeline? I can't remember how far ahead that scene was supposed to be.

[S05.E05: A Long Road Home]

I looked at teen Kate's Instagram, and she has a post saying she wears a prosthetic under her chin on the show. The post was from 2018, so I guess they've been doing this for a while now, although I just noticed her double chin last night.

I watched last night's episode, and it's the first and only episode of this show I have watched (my husband has watched the whole thing so far, or at least most of it).

First of all -- Sav from Degrassi! He's so handsome!

Second of all....total opera fail. I am an opera singer, and if that lady were auditioning for the role of Carmen, she would be a mezzo soprano. After her surgery, she was singing O Mio Babbino Caro, from Gianni Schicchi, which is an entirely different opera, and an entirely different voice type. The closed captions even said "Music from Carmen playing," which was 100% false. If that woman had the role of Carmen in her repertoire, it's a bit of a stretch that she would be singing a Puccini soprano aria. Also, callbacks aren't super common in the opera world, but depending on which type of company she was auditioning for, not impossible.

That is the only thing I can think of...she must be a trust fund kid or something. I live in LA, and recognized the area she and Kevin were walking around when the woman came up to them wanting a selfie. So her house is in Hollywood. She mentioned having a spare/guest bedroom, so it's at least a 2 bedroom house, and we've seen a decent-sized living room and kitchen, plus a garage in the back. In the current LA market, and in that area, that would be at least a million dollar house if she owned it. If she rented, I'd guess the monthly rent payment would be somewhere around $3500-4500. Either way, she must be doing decently for herself if she was living there alone with no roommates.

With Toby and Kate trying to have a baby for 2 years, and many doctor's visits in that time, I'd imagine there's no way her pregnancy wouldn't have come up at some point. That's kind of a fail on the show/writer's part. If they had been trying on their own with no doctors involved, I can see why she may not have told him. But with all of the medical intervention, it doesn't seem realistic.

[S05.E04: Honestly]

I am about the same age as the big 3, and I wouldn’t have known around age 18-20 that you could buy an ovulation test. Heck, I only just realized reading this thread that those were a thing. Lol. So I’m not sure I’m buying Kate being savvy to an ovulation test, but that’s okay. 
 

That being said, I assume Ellie’s story triggered her because she had an abortion herself, BUT, I could also see her having a miscarriage, and facing verbal abuse from Mark (such as: “you would have been a horrible mother anyway”/“I hope you never get to have kids”/etc.). I suppose he could say things like that even if she did have an abortion as well. Idk, I just think there’s gonna be another layer onto that story line.

YUP! As soon as it ended, I said "his therapist is going to be his bio-mom." But that's too easy for this show. Laurel will survive, have another son (or daughter), and the new therapist will turn out to be Randall's half-sibling.

[S16.E02: Week 2]

She is so caught up in her "strong woman" narrative. Certainly there is nothing wrong with being strong, but you can be a strong woman and a kind woman at the same time. She's scolding these guys for not living up to her expectations, when they don't even know what her expectations are because half of them have never even spoken to her. She is super uptight, and seems a little neurotic (I'm neurotic myself, and this season is not doing a very good job of distracting me from my own issues). 

And she was just nasty to Brandon, in my opinion. In normal circumstances, if a guy went on a date with a woman and admitted he'd googled the crap out of her and knew her entire life story, she'd call him a stalker and run the other way. But Clare seems to think unnecessarily highly of herself, her ego is a bit inflated. This whole season so far just seems so DIRE. I can't imagine anyone is having a really stellar time at this point.

This show in general has been trending toward the idea that anyone on the show is automatically in love with whoever the lead is. I think I really started noticing it around Jojo's season, my friend and I used to yell at the TV, "HOW CAN THEY TELL YOU ALL OF THE THINGS THEY LOVE ABOUT YOU, THEY DON'T EVEN KNOOOOW YOU!!!!" And it's only gotten worse from there. I suppose we have social media to thank for that. It would be interesting if they reformatted the casting to be new people every time, or at least if they stopped announcing who it was ahead of time, and literally waited until the first episode with the limos to do the reveal. That might not be sustainable long-term, but I bet they could get viewers hyped up about a "mystery" Bachelor....

My biggest takeaway of this episode is....who goes to a taco stand and only orders one taco???!?
