I remember several seasons ago when Christine was wanting to go back to Utah and visit her dad who wasn't in the best of health and that's when Kody snapped at "You want to go on a vacation, save your grocery money". Rude and disrespectful, as per usual with Kody. And then this second situation happened around Covid so I don't if by saying "you wouldn't be able to see him anyways" Kody was referring to Covid restrictions or something else. Christine hasn't mentioned her dad much since so I don't know if he's still with us or what their relationship is like. ETA: Apparently her dad walked her down the aisle last month so it sounds like they're very close. Glad to hear it!

I find both Mykelti and Tony super insufferable and obnoxious, can't stand either of them. But now I can add hypocrite to the list as well. There she is pontificating about how the moms all need each other, the kids needs the moms, the kids all need each other, etc. Cut to her gender reveal and where's Meri? Nowhere to be found. She doesn't like Meri and doesn't want her involved in her life? Fine. But don't give us a fake lecture about how the family needs to be all together again and then do the exact opposite. Pick a lane, babe.

Christine spent 25 years with an emotionally abusive narcissist who repeatedly denigrated her and insulted her. A few snarky (and completely true) comments from her hardly makes her a mean girl.

Robyn has had a nanny from the time they moved to Vegas. She’s either had a family member living with her or a paid nanny watching her kids. Even when she and Kody had their ridiculous 11 day honeymoon, her kids stayed with her parents. Meri, Christine, and Janelle had to ask permission to include them with the rest of the family outings while they were gone. She’s never taken care of them 100% on her own and has never wanted the other wives to watch them either. She’s always kept herself separate while “crying” about how they were never accepted.

I really wish Janelle would tell Kody "Stop bringing up Christine. Her relationship with you has to nothing to do with us. I'm here to talk about our relationship with each other, not anyone elses". Bonus points if she also tells him to stop brining up Covid. At this point it's just the EXACT. SAME. ARGUMENT.

This has been a theory of mine for some time. I've always wondered if the reason why Meri stayed even though Kody so obviously hated her was because Meri's mom, Bonnie, loved Kody and she loved polygamy, and Meri loved and respected her mom so much that she stayed out of fear of disappointing her.

Ari is a carbon copy of Kody in both looks and personality. Very unfortunate. She’s just as insufferable as her POS parents.

Gwen said that Kody and Robyn are NOT vaccinated. I'm not sure about the kids, though. I would think they would have to be since they all go to school.

Kody was done with her BEFORE the catfish happened. He admitted it in a therapy session with Nancy around season 14 or 15. Around the time they moved to Vegas he stopped all physical and emotional intimacy. That's why Meri was catfished, she was abandoned by her husband and she was lonely. I don't blame her for reaching out for some companionship, she was getting nothing from her POS husband. I know people here mostly hate Meri but I wish the catfish had been real and she could have left him. She deserves happiness too. Kody won't leave a wife, he's shown he'll just emotionally abandon them, withhold all physical intimacy, and expect them to be ok with that.

My POV, Robyn came into an established family where all the kids eat from all the fridges. That was their norm and Robyn refused to go along with it. But I bet she had no problem with her kids eating from everyone else’s fridge. That’s not fair. If Robyn truly did pay for her second honeymoon in Hawaii by using her grocery money, she accomplished that by denying food to the OG kids and sending her children elsewhere to eat to save money.

I agree. MLM's are garbage but some of the onus is on the buyer. It takes one google search to find out everything you need to know about whichever bs company they're selling stuff for. And if you're putting things in your body based off something a D list celeb says, that isn't FDA approved, and doing zero research yourself, that's on you.

Does anyone else find it strange that both Elyssa and Kim want to have conversations with their families about why they're doing this? Maybe it's just me being a very private person but I don't discuss my sex life with my family and I don't feel the need to explain myself to them either. If it comes up in conversation, fine. But I'm not going out of my way and holding a Q&A discussion about my lifestyle choices. It doesn't concern anyone but me and my partner. It just really baffles me that "we all need to get together and discuss this" mentality. Nope. Not your business.

Ugh, Kody and Robin's constant use of the word "tender" makes me want to puke. My god, find another word.

Leon has always seemed very thin skinned, defensive, and quick to throw a temper tantrum if things don't go their way. They don't seem to have changed much over the years in that regard.

Yeah, what I remember is Tony going on and on about how HE needed 4,000 tacos because he's Mexican, HE wanted a Tres Leches cake because he's Mexican, He wanted a chess cake because he plays chess, HE needed to approve Mykelti's dress because when he saw her on the wedding day and he didn't like it he would tell her that, HE wanted her hair down, HE had to have pinatas because he's Mexican and his pinata had to have Mexican candy only. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with Mexican traditions or incorporating your culture and heritage into your wedding but that wedding was ALL Tony and his traditions. There was very little of Mykelti in that mess of a wedding from what I could see.

Tony and Mykelti have said that TLC gave them a budget and anything over that amount would be paid for by T&M. So there really was no reason Tony couldn't have had 10,000 full sized tacos unless he was too cheap to pay for it or the country club chef put their foot down and said no.

And also, the country club they got married at didn't serve the small street tacos that Tony wanted, they did the full size tacos, so nobody needed 10. And if I'm remembering right, there was no one manning the buffet table so I'm sure there were plenty of greedy people who took way more food than what was allocated per person so of course they ran out.

Nicole's an idiot. She married a stranger, moved to a middle eastern country, was shocked that her middle eastern husband expected her to conform to the rigid standards of dress in that country, finally realized her mistake and went back home. Now she's doing it all again? Why? What has changed? And maybe it was just me but her husband seemed like an immature jerk. She is fully prepared to put herself through the EXACT same situation and is somehow expecting a different outcome? Pull your head out, Nicole. This isn't going to work.

And if I remember correctly, when Leon and Audrey first moved to Colorado they made a post talking about how expensive it is and if anyone wanted to donate money to them so they could get coffee's or whatever that would be great, and they listed their venmo account. Plus, both of them tried to claim that their dogs were ESA to get out of buying separate plane tickets for them and that blew up in their face. So neither of them are above grifting a bit. I still like Audrey though, Leon seems insufferable.

I remember all the parents wanting all the kids to go to college. Janelle also suggested trade schools but Kody turned his nose up at that because we all know he's allergic to actual working. But when it came time to actually look at schools it turns out none of the adults had ever discussed how much it would cost and how much they could contribute to each kids tuition. They didn't have the money to pay for everyone and Kody was ADAMANTLY against student loans (probably because you can't discharge student loans in bankruptcy). And yeah, no parent wants their kids to go into debt for school, but what was the other option here? They can't afford it outright, Kody says no student loans, working a part time job during school isn't going to make a dent so that leaves full scholarships for all 18 kids. Not likely. Maddie actually did get a full ride to her school in Utah but then she dropped out after hooking up with Caleb.

Pretentious is exactly right. Audrey also had top surgery a while back and posted a very nice picture explaining how happy they are and that was it. Leo has to post a vid pontificating about "little moments" and how "mortified" they were by an Adam Sandler movie while we watch them make coffee for 20 minutes. Leo just seems so insufferable to me while Audrey seems great. I don't get what Audrey sees in them.

It's not nothing. Robyn slurs almost everything she says and it drives me crazy. Even in the old opening segment she said "It feels like dessiny", completely leaving out the T. And have you ever noticed how she never pronounces "-ing" completely? It's always "sittin", "standin", "hopin", "prayin". Once you hear it you can't unhear it. Same with "dill", "rill", "fill"...aside from Janelle they could all use an elocution coach.

The reason I give Meri a lot of grace with the Catfish situation is because he admitted sometime in season 14 or 15 that he had emotionally abandoned her and basically spiritually "divorced" her BEFORE the catfish happened. He admitted it. He said she had "deceived" him from the very beginning (maybe don't marry someone you've only known for 8 weeks) and he cut himself off from her. That's when she went online and found "Sam". I'm not saying an emotional affair is good but most people seem to think the catfish happened and then Kody dropped her and it was the other way around.

Ill fitting, terrible colors, and also, you're supposed to unbutton your suit jacket when you sit down so it doesn't bunch up like that. And when you stand up you re-button it. Did anyone notice he was going for a hug with Sukanya and she shut that down real quick :)
