  1. On that thread, I'd said that I wanted to see the storyline play out accurately, so I don't necessarily disagree. Still, there's more of the story left. We'll see what else happens. If it's a complete retcon, I'll be disappointed. But I enjoy YS quite a lot and can separate it from TBBT, so there's that too, at least for me.
  2. I'm of two minds with the retcon. On one hand, I adore the YS version of Sheldon's father and it's nice to see his character not going all bad. On the other hand, I just don't know what to think of Sheldon growing up, thinking the worst of his father after this... Which was brought up before in the relevant thread: I do buy that Sheldon's memories are very biased due to his interpretation though.
  3. I'm just so bummed this isn't back. Wasn't always a smooth, but I loved having this dance kick every summer...

  5. This is so sad, RIP tWitch. My condolences to Allison and their family. 😟 🙏
  6. I think it must have been the way he carried himself. He wasn't cute like a lot of the others in that season. Very erect and proud in his dancing, he danced like he was a king. I don't think he was arrogant, but I think it made him seem invulnerable and aloof to some people. I don't think his pride was a bad thing. He knew he was good, and he showed it.
  7. Some of them (Shane Sparks and Mia Michaels) thought he was arrogant. House is a style of street dance.
  8. And it's not even just he who had amazing solos that season. I think all these dancers were special soloists in their own way. For me, it'll always be amazing how Logan could effortlessly build moves out of nowhere (like that leap out of the toe rise at 4:24, or the switch leap out of the turns he does later in the same solo). Or how he and Lex both used bboying in their solos, going perfectly with the music. The sheer range of movement and control Lex showed in any solo. Or Kiki and Mark's showmanship. Great season for solos. Dassy's Soundclash and Kaylee's hip hop infused solos also deserve a mention.
  9. I agree with this. While I was rooting for Lex because I liked his solos more, Koine in retrospect would have been the better "SYTYCD" winner. She was a beautiful performer. She even had beautiful musicality in her solos, even if they tended to be choreographed in a rather forgettable manner. And she did well in all genres (I don't remember her doing hip hop though). Lex had this jazz piece with Taylor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMSbCnwrbjY (can't find the original version during the competition, so it's the finale version) I quite liked the way his body moves in that piece. He also did a broadway piece with Gaby https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1YYchORTs8 where I think he completely outdanced her technically. One thing I remember is that he used to slip around when he wore shoes on stage. Strange.
