  1. That's what happens when TPTB select people with the same hair and body style. They need some shorter hairstyles, spiky, curly, and they can dye the girls hair all different colors (pink, blue, purple), Some of the older girls (28+) can have "average" hairstyles, but the 18-22 year old group should be rocking current hair fads. They can even keep their long hair and use braids/buns/tails.
  2. And he's dancing great with poms! He makes me realize that adding a man to the team would really make little difference. He can move just as well as the girls. Even the kick line would not be an issue, as in years past they've had girls leave the field before kick line.
  3. Just curious, are we basing this list on looks or danceability? Because other than Kristin, VK and Lily I don't think I've seen them on the show before.
  4. Even though I am on the "Maddie train". I agree with you that she is not "as good" as the others posted here. However, in my opinion, she actually has the "perfect" moves for Pom or Drill team style. Because as you can see neither dancing pair can emulate each others moves exactly, which makes the whole dance look "off" to me. For dance groups, I expect their moves to be synchronized with each other as close as possible. This is why I don't care for the hair whip moves that they do nor do I care for the "extra pops" that some of the cheerleaders add as it makes it look like someone is making a mistake.
  5. my poor pinky toes commiserate! They've attempted to move walls, furniture and anything else within their reach. You would think I would learn to wear shoes more often around the house.
  6. I would not consider Kristen "huge". Is she out of shape? more than likely. Can she get back in shape in time for Training camp? probably. After watching this show for so many years and hearing TPTB harp on these girls in regards to how much weight they've gained since last year (or last week), and then adding to it the severe underweight girls on the calendar shoot this year, I feel myself on the verge of a DCC weight and "DCC" look revolt. I'm just tired of the stick thin, and ribs showing on the girls. They are supposed to be healthy athletes/dancers. I feel that "health" should be the mainstay as opposed to their weight number. I feel that TPTB do a disservice to these girls as well as their "brand" when they put them in these teeny tiny bottoms, that really only look good on a specific body type. The top of the uniform and sleeves flatter all diverse bust sizes. Yet the bottoms of the uniform are the exact opposite. I know they are proud of the tradition of their "iconic" uniform, but maybe it is time for a change to the uniform so that they can include a more diverse group, regardless if they have a "thut", have short legs, or are large boned, muscled or stick thin. I'm not saying they should encourage people to be "out of shape", but rather they encourage a "healthy yet fit" work environment, whether the girl is a size 00 or a 2. Rant over...
  7. The one(s) that annoys me: Gina, I know she’s not a rookie, but she just does with all of her "extra" unnecessary moves so that she stands out from the rest of the team.. The one who I hope stays healthy and takes care of herself: Daphne, Gabby Ones who I rarely think about: Alanna, Amber, Madeline, I forget that they are a part of the team Ones who grew on me as the season went on: Erin, Taylor, Cianna Ones who I think don't get enough credit/are underrated: Cianna, Erin My favorite ones this season: Cianna, Rachel, Erin
  8. I don't care for most of the photos. The best one for me is Heather on the pylons is most definitely the best and should be the cover. First, these photos on face book have to be "edited" and remove any ribs that are jutting out and shadows that look weird on the body etc. Once they are edited they may look better. Second, I want to see the girl AND the swimsuit. Meaning no side/butt shots. Third, since the DCC go through the time and expense of these photo shoots, they should hire a professional that can select the suits most appropriate/flattering for a girls figure and skin tone. Fourth, they should do more "natural" and less "posed' shots. Have them on a boat, pretending to play volleyball, beach ball, sitting on a lounger or towel sunbathing. They could even have them standing on a wake/surf/paddle board, granted they don't have to actually BE working it, the photo just needs to "appear" to be surfing. These girls are not models, they are cheerleaders for heavens sake. They can still look beautiful and sexy without the attempt of trying to be something they are not aka models.
  9. Just curious, have they always brought everyone on the calendar shoot trip? For some reason I thought they limited the number of girls that went. I'm sure in the past everyone had an opportunity to try on suits or whatever, but only the ones they thought would photograph the best could go?
  10. I think the bathing suits pictured are atrocious on these girls. I don't understand what Judy/KF are doing when they get swimsuits for these girls. The tops have more fabric than the bottoms. But seriously, the DCC can well afford to have suits that are custom made for the girls body types. I did look at the facebook pics and there were some better fitting/flattering to the body type suits.
  11. I've talked with some people that appear to have some strong "anti - abortion" views. Most of them feel that the Lord gifted you with a pregnancy and it is your responsibility to love it and raise it to adulthood accordingly. These same people are not necessarily "anti-adoption" but are more of the opinion that a child should be loved and raised by the biological parents and therefore: adoption is acceptable if the parents have passed or are incarcerated for a decade and therefore unable to rear a child appropriately.
  12. Well for me this is what I would prefer: I want to see ALL of the candidates, I don't need their backstories, I just want to see them dance and compare them to the others. I like how they would have three up at a time (with their names) and show them doing the same choreography. They need to do this more often than just a 5 second thing. I can't stand the staged conversations, because all of the candidates are afraid to say what's really on their mind because they know they are in a constant "auditioning" mode. I would love to see an episode dedicated to an actual make over. If a girl just needs a trim and a subtle change to what they already have, then just say so and move on to the next girl. Also, I wish they would encourage different hairstyles. No more hair extensions! I'm not anti Melissa Rycroft, I think she's fine if there is a girl that really needs the help. Don't force her into something that is not needed just because you want her on the show. I actually love the uniform fitting and would, again, prefer to see each and every fitting and conversation with Kelli. This is the best opportunity to get a more personal information, aka do you work, a student, where do you live etc etc. Although the eating etiquette classes are cute, to me they should only be used if the Cowboys organization is sending these girls to participate in meal banquets (not just performing then leaving). I REALLY enjoyed the "sticker system". I thought that was fantastic to see how each person (group leaders included) would pick their team.
  13. I never had doubts about Brandon, but I do feel their marriage is going to be on the "quiet" side since both are introverts. Psychologically speaking, I feel that parents that are "desperate or determined" to have a biological child should exhaust all means possible before considering adoption. I've known a couple of adopted children who were pretty much cast aside when the unexpected miracle of a biological child arrived.
  14. I think one of the worst is the first name of "Female", one I was familiar with was pronounced Fem-uh-lee.
  15. *IIRC: All listed above are in show group. *All but three of the top 10 are either 1st or 2nd leaders. (top three are GL). Tess is the only 2nd leader not listed above, also of note both Hannah and Tess are the only SG people not shown above. *Of the top 6 there is an equal mix of light and dark hair color. Although Gina can dance quite well, she was not a leader this year, and IMO she doesn't have a charming HD "Facials that Kashara has both in photos and on the big screen at this time. I always figure they put a leader at point in case something goes "wrong" with music or some other major or minor catastrophe and can either maintain or get the entire group out of a bind. With that said, I'm sure there is a multitude of factors that go into choosing the top 3-6 people of the triangle. (not just dance ability).
  16. I think the majority of them have the “DCC” Look and could make the team based on their headshots. Would they all look good in the teeny tiny DCC uniform? Definitely not. As far as uniforms go in this particular picture. I don’t care for the go go boots at all. But judging with tops and bottoms only I can say I don’t care for any of the uniforms with shorts. I like the Vikings uniform the best followed by falcons and chiefs.
  17. If I remember correctly, She got cut in her first training camp, so maybe that is why it seems longer? She's actually one of my favorites, although there aren't too many I dislike. I really enjoy watching her perform.
  18. Pro Bowl - Prediction: Lacey or Amy, as they are the more senior leaders. but would prefer Lauren. VOTY - Prediction - any of the leaders that didn't get pro bowl. Would prefer Maddie. Rookie of the year - This one is really tough. Since I see no interaction between the girls once the show is over and the season starts I have no prediction. So I'm going with Erin or Cianna, just because they were MY favorite rookies from the show.
  19. I think it really depends on several factors, the participants, their careers, and how their "expectations" of said wedding. For me, the wedding was just the starting off point of my marriage. Mine, family and fiancé, work schedules were the priority, wedding was worked around work schedules and family. However, I have known people that feel their wedding is a once in a lifetime "event" and do not want "work" to interfere with the celebration of this event. So many just take the entire week off to prepare and celebrate with friends and family and take the following week off as well for honeymooning.
  20. I thought based on the placements below that the triangle would consist of show group people (the stronger dancers). Alexis, is pretty but she's not in show group so can't see her as being in the triangle. Also the three in triangle are currently group leaders. So if that is also a requirement, then it would limit the triangle next year to Khalyn, Tess and Kelli.
  21. I'm not sure how much time has passed since the Jets photo, but she's obviously lost a significant (for her) amount of weight. One of the "cons" of being under weight is it makes you look older (IMO). The face makeup in the Jets phot is the same shade as the rest of her body. However, in the DCC photo her forehead is shiny and her face make up is extremely pale compared to her belly and darker legs. I'm not a fan of this group photo because there is too much space between the first three rows, then you have the back three rows so close together. The majority of team have the exact same hairstyle and length and color "tone" so they all kind of just "blend" together. No one stands out.
  22. I've been looking at the cameos and just have to ask...What is going on with the huge sleeves? Compare Amy's sleeve (which I think looks good) compared to others.
  23. Lauren - the woman has abs to die for. I mean she is totally "fit".. she appears to be a genuinely kind person plus she is able to maintain a career that is outside of dance (not that a career in dance is a negative, it's just that in most cases "dance classes" can be easily worked around any DCC schedule) Kashara - (I don't consider her "soft", she appears to me to be a healthy and toned individual.) She is a natural leader and appears to actually enjoy what she is doing. Maddie (I don't consider her "soft" she appears to me to be at a healthy weight.) She always looks like she's having a great time in just about every picture taken of her. Also because of her hairstyle she doesn't "blend" with the others. I not only like all of their dancing, but also their leadership capabilities.
  24. I really do not understand what the problem is for K/J to cut girls. It's extremely clear based on all of the feedback they are getting in regards to the stickers. You need to cut 5 girls The first three that should be cut are Victoria (1 sticker), Ashlee (2 stickers) and Kristin (2 stickers) (they have the fewest stickers and their GLs did not pick them either) Victoria is a no brainer based on weight gain, immaturity and lack of stickers from K/J I like Ashlee, I'm not sure why she has so few stickers, but she's apparently not a "stand out" enough to be picked for 36. So I'm not sure why she was selected for the team with only 2 stickers. I like Kristin, but I'm okay with her cut as I think she could use another year to "spruce" up her performance. (stop looking at the ground, and perform up to the cheap seats). No stickers from K/J That leaves 2 and the lowest remaining sticker count are vets Tara and Rachel with 3 stickers each (again no vote from GL but Lacey did have the largest group with 12). I loved Tara, but KF didn’t pick her for top 36 and her group leader didn’t pick her either, which justifies her “cut” to me. I’m going to assume that Veteran Rachel was “saved” from being cut by Malena’s risky memory/performance mistakes and the fact that 2 of her 3 stickers are from K/J. I am curious to see why Lily who had 5 stickers was cut instead of Ashlee (interestingly both have stickers from Kelly but not from Judy)
  25. WOW, This is very telling of why Tara was cut. I am so surprised she only has three stickers. She didn't get one from KF/KC nor her group leader? Very telling indeed.
