  1. I agree, it's a reflection on TPTB not on the cheerleaders. I've never been a fan of their swimsuit calendars either. I think their sideline calendar or whatever it's called with them in their cheerleader uniforms is much more appropriate in my opinion.
  2. What would you consider old? The first picture I thought at first was Gina. All three are very pretty
  3. I enjoyed it, THANK YOU DCCNONAME for posting. My only "gripe": I wish they had focused more on the alumni as opposed to the current DCC on the big screen. Not saying that the current DCC shouldn't participate, just that the camera should have stuck with the alumni on the big screen.
  4. I'll play Favorite - Rachel Jada is also my favorite but will never be point as she's the center 50 and the tallest Kristin is my runner up who will never be point Expanding on the game: Love to see at point/triangle (only selecting those currently on show group) in no particular order: Marissa, Armani, Claire, Chandi, Jalyn & Kelcey Favorite Rookie: Lea. Although there are many rookies I really like, I seem to notice her the most.
  5. Unpopular opinion... I just wish they'd leave the wigs, weaves and extensions out and just have their natural hair and style. I agree that they can seek out a professional opinion for a cut and style of their natural hair in the most flattering way, but honestly; Please let them choose their own style/color and wear in buns/ponytails however they want. 2nd unpopular opinion. Although the occasional use of a hair flip/whip is fine, the DCC way over use it.
  6. Okay, I'll play ☺️ 5th year neither although I have nothing against them. 4th year Jalyn was my favorite followed by Rachel 3rd year Kelcey was my runner up. 2nd year Jada and Marissa, Current is Kleine
  7. I've never liked the current style of short. They are cut/altered in the style of underwear as opposed to shorts which gives them the diaper look. I quite prefer how the ladies look when they first put on their unaltered shorts, the fit is quite nice and attractive.
  8. OMGoodness that's awful for someone so young.
  9. Veneers can and will change the shape of your face. Such a shame that so many young people feel the need to get boobs/fillers/veneers etc when they are beautiful just the way they were.
  10. I love the new format for online auditions and think they should keep it. The twin and knitting auditions were quite amazing! I’d rather see these types of examples/comments as opposed to the usual sneers about why would an untalented person even tryout. I would have preferred to have seen more of the judges deliberations and or comments as they have such different points of interest from the CKJ triad. Although I do enjoy the TCC camera interviews as well as interactions with Phil, and the TCC interactions with each other (like Ava introducing herself to Daphne on the way to the office) I’d rather not see the TCC waiting outside in a line and talk about how excited/nervous they are to audition or, walking to or from the parking lot and through the building and commenting about how pretty Kelli and Judy are as that’s just wasted material to me. I’d rather see that wasted time dedicated to the TCC actual performances. I see based on the posts that a number of people put looks as a top priority of selection but for me looks aren’t important in regards to making the team as beauty is in the eye of beholder. They’re all pretty in different ways and I prefer a variety of ages and looks. I look for charm and personality in addition to the performance. Stand out rookies for me were Kleine, I thought she was absolutely adorable and I liked Pressley as well. Ava lost some points due to stamina issue. Tori, Ashlinn, I believe the Maddie retirement discussion between Judy and Melissa was scripted for a Judy moment to talk about possible points. The Kat solo portion was awkward since they didn’t show it in its entirety. The other veteran solo clips shown were awesome. Unfortunately, for Daphne since the cheerleaders are contract workers, they have to beat out the rookies for their jobs each year and not automatically get a “pass” just because they were on the team before, but I sincerely hope she recovers fully from her injury. I'm really looking forward to seeing the 2020 rookie class perform in a field setting.
  11. I like this style of squad photo, don't particularly like the blue sheeting or whatever that is, but the format is where you can see everyone.
  12. I get what you are saying. I recently viewed the DC R&B tab on the cowboys site and found it interesting. I've only seen them in action a couple of times during half time when they have performed with the DCC. I was surprised that they fulfill a more diverse entertainment that incorporates not only dancing and drums but some traditional cheerleader roles as well ☺️ 😲 One could interpret the creation of the DC R&B dancers as a change from their “old” entertainment business model. It certainly opens up the possibility that they could stop selling swimsuit calendars entirely, lose or change the iconic DCC uniform (after all it's in the Smithsonian museum) and just incorporate the DCC into the DC R&B since dancing is the main theme for both groups without losing anything entertainment wise. The Cowboys organization could still use people from either group for charity functions, team calendars and ambassadors. https://www.dallascowboys.com/rhythm-and-blue/
  13. Many years of scientific studies have concluded that: Weight has no bearing on how fit/healthy a person is. “fat” people can be fit just as “thin” people can be the opposite. Weight is just one aspect of determining a person’s health. An overweight or obese person can be metabolically healthy (Blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides & blood glucose). Just as a thin person can be the opposite. I find it unfortunate that DCC place so much emphasis on a specific "body type/weight", just because of their uniform. Talented dancers can come in all shapes and sizes.
  14. Hello, I’m confused. I’m hoping someone can explain to me as to how releasing names of people cut; negatively impacts the integrity of the show? I get that saying WHY the person was cut could impact the show. TPTB have the option on the premier of the show to open with the team photo and then the episodes would show how/why those individuals were selected for the team. Currently they end the season with the team photo but it really doesn't appear to matter if they show it at the beginning or at the end; since the final team performs at football games before the show ever airs, so it doesn’t make any sense to me how the release of those who were cut on the forums/social media negatively impacts the integrity of show at all. My understanding of the reason/purpose of the MTT is to show the process of how and why K,C & J select their final team for each season. Thanks
  15. I agree about the hair. It has always surprised me that the corporation has access to a salon for hair and make up, but they give everyone similar colors and styles. I don't understand why there isn't a larger variety of colors, lengths and styles. IF they're going to stick with similar styles then they should allow pony tails, headbands and the like to give differing styles.
  16. I saw that and watched it last night. I was struck by when Kelli announced the remaining people had made that team; how no one seemed to be very happy for making the team as they were all devastated by that final cut.
  17. In my opinion, the majority of show group (Jalyn included) could be point and it work out just fine. Gina has improved blending in with the others on the field and would be fine as point. I enjoyed Kashara and Maddie as points as they had that "sparkle". Bridget was an absolute joy to watch as well. Gina, to me, is an excellent dancer, but appears to me like she's trying so hard to look like she's having fun. That's just my perception, whereas both Rachel and Caroline have a more relaxed, natural or a more effortless dancing style which is what I happen to prefer and what my eye is drawn to.
  18. Unpopular opinion. I never understood the whole eyebrow trend thing even when I was a teen. I mean I get removing a unibrow, but otherwise, an eyebrow pencil and make up/dyes can shape your eyebrows without all the drama/pain/mutilation.
  19. Wow, I perceived her completely different. I see in the video that she smiles, changes expressions etc throughout the program and I didn't see anything "vacant" in her eyes. When they have group performances my eyes tend to go right to her. But that's the great thing about group performances we all have different favorites. Anywhere she is in the triangle works for me. 😊
  20. I'm surprised Jalyn has stuck around as long as she has. But more power to her 😊 Since the cheerleaders are only under yearly contracts; TPTB can pretty much get rid of a handful of veterans each year that they want based on the strength of the rookie class. Obviously they don't tend to get rid of that many, but the opportunity is built into the program.
  21. I wish Victoria the best. She's leaving it open to the possibility of auditioning again even though I don't really see the point in doing so as her goal was to become a DCC which she did. She can check that goal off her list as she's young enough and has the financial support of her family so she can get her mental/physical health in order and move on with her life.
  22. I'm curious; why not men? I mean men were a part of it in the early history so it certainly wouldn't be a "new" concept. Plus there are males in both HS and College Cheer. There are a couple of the male guest choreographers dance just fine with poms. Granted TPTB would have to significantly change their "sexy girl next door" motto to bring it up to current times. 😁
  23. It would take a lot of guts/self assurance for any of the duggarlings to venture out of the lifestyle as they would have to abandon everything they were taught as well as the risk of being shunned by their friends and family. Just as an example - Look how many LGBTQ who are educated, have the ability to support themselves, have supportive friends, etc still have trouble coming out of the closet for fear of losing the love of or disappointing some of their family members? I'm sure there are a lot of people that have given up on their dreams - and end up doing what is "expected" of them as it's just easier to follow the path laid out in front of them.
  24. in no particular order: Rachel Wyatt Mackenzie Lee Lauren Parker Kelsey Lowrance Danielle B Honorable Mention: Abigail K.
