  1. Can someone please give me a synopsis of what happened with Meagan F.? I didn't watch the show back then but I'm very curious to hear about a TCC telling off K and J! You know, I was just thinking what an interesting book Director Kelli could write about her 34 years with DCC if she didn't hold back and wrote about the good, the bad and the ugly. Not that that would ever happen, of course! Anyone else think that'd be an interesting premise?
  2. Kitty, as a former DCC who was lacking in the looks department, probably enjoys smacking down girls who could probably have outdanced and, um, outlooked her on the field. The vet snitch... they probably have Cassie and Squooshy Nose Girl hiding behind potted plants in the locker room or something.
  3. And why not? Afterall, she did grow up around Cassie Trammel.
  4. Yeah, when I read that post upthread, I immediately thought the poster had dancing on a huge cruise line and performing at Bill and Ted's Excellent Dinner Theatre mixed up.
  5. Shelly has been very forthcoming with DCC matters, but don't forget that she has a personal life as well. She's the mother of a TCC who was let go and I'm sure she has feelings about how it went down but she's not under any obligation to share them with us. That's not fishy; it's just normal. (HannahJulie, this isn't directed at you. Yours was just the most recent post I saw so I just hit the quote button :) )
  6. Along with her henchwoman; the girl with the squooshy - looking nose I think possibly Cassie doesn't read books without pictures.
  7. Me too! And I am not a TV crier (well, except for that dog food commercial where the man with a prosthetic leg adopts an older pup who has been through a lot). Kitty has lost her sass somewhere along the way. And WHY should Kelli show VK respect about her weight? I have never heard that, ever, on this show. I was kind of hoping Kelli and Judy would join in the line dancing! I'd love to see those two on the dance floor!
  8. I noticed that it's a trend among pretty, young women to wear hideous outfits. My older daughter was visiting last weekend and she showed up wearing big, thick black plastic glasses (think Elvis Costello) and her hair piled on top of her head. What looked like a mens Hanes v neck t shirt and baggy, faded, ripped jeans. The weird part is that she looked great. If I wore something like that (even when I was 22), I would have looked like something the cat dragged in. I always figured they do that as a way of saying, "I'm so pretty that I can wear crappy outfits and still look better than you"? And it would make me sad so I'd open a bag of Cheetos and go to town.
  9. Brilliant! If anyone on this board hasn't seen Mean Girls, you need to or you're going to miss out on glorious little zingers like this one!
  10. I don't really know; there's just something really appealing looking about Judy and I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's because sometimes when she's watching the cheerleaders perform she has this dour look on her face and then when she smiles it totally transforms her and I think it lights up her face and makes her look really pretty. And I love the hair; doesn't seem overbleached to me at all. As for Kelli, I agree that she is one pretty lady. She is so much prettier now than when she was a DCC or when she was early in her tenure as Director. I think a bit of extra weight has softened her features and she's just stunning. Wherever it is that you live; I wouldn't even want to pass the exit for it on the interstate! Yikes!
  11. I guess it made me sad because she's so young to not have anything left to accomplish.
  12. I like Avon too, especially the cute little stocking stuffers that come out every year. But I'm like you; I order what I want and just go on my merry way until next time. I hope I'm not offending any LuLuRoe fans here, but that company brings MLM brainwashing to a whole new level! My friend hosted a party (another friend of hers was selling) and she straight out told me not to worry about buying anything and there would be wine. I showed up and this woman had set up racks and racks of these clothes with hideous patterns. The biggest draw seemed to be the "butter soft" leggings and people were clustered around that table oohing and aahing over the supposedly rare patterns that were available there. I found out later that it costs about 6K to get involved in selling LuLuRoe and you get no say over the inventory that they send you to sell. Still, though, there were several ladies at the sale who were interested in opening up their own shop. Now, those same ladies are selling off the clothes trying to recoup even a small percentage of the cash they put out. But at least the wine was good.
  13. I agree, that's great. These national pageants have always been touted as scholarship pageants (not sure where the bathing suit part would come in, though!) and it's fantastic that many women are actually using them for that purpose. I've always wondered, though, if they had just saved up all the money they and their families had spent on pageants for all those years, they might have been able to pay for college themselves? My daughter loved figure skating when she was younger and we'd watch skating videos together on YouTube. She loved Elaine Zayak, Surya Bonali, Tanya Harding, etc. But when we watched video of Olympic gold medalist Peggy Fleming, she was all like, "I don't like her. All she does is wave her arms around."!
  14. He's just the General Manager of Del Frisco's. According to what I saw on glassdoor.com, the salary range for that position looks like a decent first salary in a two salary household but doesn't seem like the salary of a mover and shaker. Why, oh why, am I such a nebby nose? I guess you can take the girl out of journalism but not the journalism out of the girl. Or something like that.
  15. VK's been immersed in the DCC culture since birth, so it well may have been all she's dreamed of. In the last episode that showed Cassie as a DCC, she mentioned that she was 23 years old and had already accomplished everything she'd ever wanted. Not that being a DCC isn't an incredible accomplishment, but I still thought that was sad. That woman is a gorgeous freak of nature, I swear. Since she didn't get the gorgeous hair and face genes, it's nice she at least got the skinny ones. ****************************************************************************************** Does anyone have any idea why Charlotte is so rah, rah, VK? She's the only person in the DCC realm who doesn't have to kowtow to anyone so does she truly think she's all that and a bag of chips?
  16. Thank you for always being willing to address anything that's thrown at you on this board and for always being so gracious about it.
  17. Do the girls leave their game uniforms at the stadium and they get laundered and hung up in the locker room for the next week or do or are they responsible for the upkeep? I would be very nervous about having to keep my uniform game day ready. Sometimes I throw dark stuff into the light load, etc. I can only imagine the woe that would come to someone who damaged the uniform. Has anyone seen this before? Is it real? Or is it photoshopped? I'm trying to identify who (or at least who the heads belong to if it's photoshopped) is in the photo and I recognize Tobie, Abigail Klein and possibly Michelle Keyes. But I don't know the others.
  18. I'm sure this isn't Judy's first rodeo when it comes to cosmetic tweeks. Nobody looks that good at sixty unless they've been doing upkeep for a good while before that. Not criticizing; I'm all for doing whatever makes you feel good about yourself and you sure can't argue with her (or Kelli's) results!
  19. That's what I was wondering about. I know no football player worth his, um, cleats? would ask if it was okay to date a cheerleader. But if he really cared for her I'm sure he wouldn't want her to lose her place on the squad. I think you're right, Jess14, I'm sure a player could just say, "I'm with Lulubelle. If she gets kicked off the squad I would be very unhappy. End of story" if he chose to. I guess it didn't quite work out that way for Jenna. Haha, when I see what I just wrote, it's hard to believe that I am talking about adults!
  20. I know the players are off limits but I wonder what would happen if whomever the current big Cowboys star is wanted to date a cheerleader. Not hook up with, but actually properly date (people still do that sometimes, right? I'm very old). What would management's response be? Tell him, nope, no way; You can't date a cheerleader? Cut the cheerleader? Turn a blind eye and tell K and J to do so as well? I would think TPTB would want to keep their big star happy, right? Doesn't the team always come before the cheerleaders? Now that I think about it, didn't Troy Aikman date Abigail Klein?
  21. THAT REALLY SUCKS that you'd say that ;) I can imagine what it was like for Cassie growing up with such a gorgeous and talented mother. To be sure, I wasn't repulsive or anything as a teen; I just didn't have the height, the long, compliant, dark hair, piercing green eyes or stunning figure my mom had. One of the Church Ladies once told me that my mother "looked just like Vivian Leigh, only more beautiful." She found it impossible to wheel her own groceries and load them in the car because every teenage boy in a quarter mile radius would seemingly get there first. To my knowledge she never once got a speeding ticket. Every year, her series of small group yoga classes would break the bank at my school's auction because the ladies in our town knew that my mom was a great yoga teacher, but also because she was free with beauty tips and clothing advice and, hey, who didn't want to look like Anne? No matter how great the mother-daughter relationship, a large looks discrepancy is hard for the less attractive daughter. I'm sure it couldn't have been easy being Cassie, even when she made DCC. In her heart, she had to know she wasn't as good a dancer as the others, at least at first. And I guarantee she knew that she was not "high definition" ready like her mother. By the end of her reign, um, I mean tenure, she had made the absolute most of everything she had but still couldn't approach her mom in the looks department. Really, it's no wonder she was always rocking the bitch face.
  22. Do you think Holly P would be point this season if she had kept her nose clean? I thought she was really an eye catcher!
  23. Didn't someone on this board notice a few months back that Kelli and TK no longer followed one another on Twitter? I wonder if it could have anything to do with VK? As far as Malena, in that awful terrible book written by one of the Scholz sisters, it was mentioned ad nauseum that any employer in Dallas would just be so darn thrilled to have a cheerleader working there that there was never any problem with getting time off to do DCC duties. So either that was never true to begin with or times have changed.
  24. Maybe they saw that past season when a nutritionist brought in by Kelli warned the girls about the dangers of how drinking soda can give you cellulite!
