She is very briefly shown in Season 7 semi-finals, about 36 minutes into the first episode. She's #74, right next to Jessica during the kick line.

Melissa was noticeably bigger when she first tried out. I'm almost certain that was the reason she didn't make it the first time around. "Bigger" always being a relative term when speaking about this squad, of course. ;) Kelli Q absolutely should have made it way before her FOURTH tryout, and it drove me batty that they mentioned that on the show during her rookie year. I forget the exact wording, but Kelli said something about "how did we miss you all these years?!" Yeah, we would love the answer to that as well, Kelli. <sigh>

Also a former L&D nurse here... Baby of that size born at 8:21 AM on a weekday = planned Cesarean that was scheduled at 8.

YES - my point exactly. They need to put a stop to this, like NOW.

There are only two plausible explanations: 1. She's photoshopping, to which TPTB should immediately intervene. 2. She's truly that thin, to which TPTB should immediately intervene. No way should DCC allow someone that looks like this to be photographed in that uniform.

And you just know she paid a grip for it. I always wondered if she pissed off her stylist that year. Also, Charlotte has always needed the advice of Kelli's grandmother - "five pounds takes off five years!"

I could totally believe the rumors about Cersten and Keyra having something to do with Katelynn not making training camp. I couldn't stand either one of them and was more than happy to see them both leave. Katelynn 100% should have been in training camp, although I could have done without the manufactured sob story of being raised by a single mother (the horror!).

Sadly, this sounds completely reasonable.

I spent many years at CBC Port Hueneme with my Seabee hubby...I actually had him watch the segment of Season 7 to see if he recognized anyone in uniform coming up to the players/cheerleaders for autographs while they were at Point Mugu (which is where their plane landed that year). Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but they've done training camp for years in SoCal? If anyone has the desire to visit Ventura County, it's BEAUTIFUL. And the strawberries are to die for. I miss living there, and I'm sorry I never went to their training camp or their arrival at Mugu.

Good catch! It really did seem from their fashion segments that she was looking to have a squad of little Kellis...this just proves it for me.

I was also not a fan of Season 7. Cassie getting all of those undeserved opportunities just rubbed me wrong, and I also disliked Chelsea and didn't enjoy her extended screen time. Season 12 and beyond never make it to my binge-watching nights either. Season 6 is my absolute favorite. The Taylor drama wasn't great, but it was entertaining at times. I just loved how big the rookie class was and how many great gals there were to root for.

I'm willing to bet that it's less about the other girls thinking about trying out for DCC and more of a "who you know" hookup.

I agree. I can see why she was cut on Season 3 and then a one-and-done from Season 5. Unfortunately, she doesn't grab attention (or grabs it in the wrong way).

Love these formations, especially when they transition into the kick line. And Alyssa - yikes. They moved the camera off of her quickly, and I'm sure she received some "feedback" for that closeup. She just always came across as snotty to me (although less so in season 3).

I love that! I think the DCRB squad is the future. It's like the DCC can stay in the past and don't have to change (such as more diversity, or men on the squad) because they can just point to DCRB and say "see...we have that too!" The DCC want to claim they are the "best in the industry" and spend all of their money hiring these fancy names in dance to choreograph routines, and for what? The show? They still do the same ass-shaking routines during the game that are designed to grab the attention of the straight male fan.

ITA. I thought she was a sweet, beautiful gal but her dancing never grabbed me.

Yes, and DCC just does "power pom"...i.e. shaking their asses for drunk male Cowboys fans. I just think the time for that has elapsed, much like the way the VS Angels have left the building.

Get rid of them and let a squad like the DCRB dancers take over. This would modernize the entertainment during the games and match what most of the other NFL teams are doing.

The worst part of this video is the zoom-in on washed-up T.K. dancing in the stands. Just stop. You're embarrassing yourself.

The decisions made for the entirety of Season 8 reeked of "we need exciting storylines and people to cut!" It was one of my least favorite seasons because it felt like they were pandering to the audience more than making rational decisions.

This legit looks like some 16 year old Instagramer put it together. Pathetic.
