  1. Everyone looks great at least as far as performance and timing. What a shame that Kalyssa (spelling?) left the way she did to pursue...well, whatever she's calling it. She is terrific to watch in this. Some of the choreography steps are the same, so definitely a great group comparatively from last year.
  2. If you watch the video, Hannah, has some missteps - trips and falls out of double turn - Bridget is definitely fun to watch comparatively but off on moves and timing half way through. Other brunette, Taylor I think, is totally lackluster. The blond, Daphne, I think, is equal to the vets in row 2 as far as dancing in this routine from the bit you can see her. No one is "on" 100% all the time, though as a professional dancer, and up close like this, you want to be 100%. Tasha, compared to those behind her, isn't that bad here. But yes, Gina is definitely out performing the group.
  3. The whole back row of rookies are fairly lackluster at points in this dance. The blond (not sure who she is) is the best of the 4. I wonder if the cheerleaders "pace" themselves over the day since they are performing before and during the actual game. The vets may have more endurance with experience.
  4. Not to beat a dead horse, but that is not a natural skin color even by tanning means nor a badly lit photo. She either put temporary self tanner, makeup, or tanning salon for that color. Go find photos of her from the most recent game day, and compare to the offensive costume she wore recently. A man who is of PR and Filipino heritage is not orange
  5. This is clearly coloring your skin to match another individual's race and ethnicity. It's clearly acceptable to the Dallas Cowboys organization and the leadership of DCC, more specifically. It is not overreacting to understand the horrendous history of blackface or any other similarly discriminatory caricature of another race that was less "acceptable" than white. There is overreacting because of what someone said, then there is actually needing to react because of actual actions of people like Rachel. No fear, the DCC don't care.
  6. Unless there is a reason to have another woman who's personality and leadership outweighs Gina, I think she'll be point or at least in the triangle. Lexie isn't strong enough as far as the videos show. She looked winded in the video someone posted of the first preseason opening dance. However, she is still a good dancer. Heather is a great dancer to watch. Kashara was never going to lose her point position this year just because another vet is better. Once that position is earned, and I'm sure it's a great responsibility and huge honor, you're not going to lose it for someone else, as the history of DCC has shown (barring discipline issue or injury). Many of the dancers have held that spot until they retire.
  7. She looks almost strawberry/dark blond. Beautiful face, boring dancer. But this is the beginning of the season and I'm sure she'll have time to improve. The rookie behind and one left of Kashara (stage right). Long, lighter colored hair.
  8. This group looks very good and in sync, however, the cheerleader upstage and left of Kashara (Rachel maybe?) is incredibly boring to watch. She gets the steps but it's almost as if she's a beat above marking the routine.
  9. Yup, I said the same thing a couple of weeks back. Such an awful photo. The small screenshot of her photo in the other calendar looks equally bad. As if she's the most uncomfortable she's ever been holding her bodily functions. I can't imagine how some of the photos in the calendar went through several eyes and editing and managed to be the ones chosen.
  10. The dancer in me is cringing. I don't want to disparage another woman, however, it's difficult to see how she was able to earn a top-performance Barbie.
  11. I actually really like Savannah's look in general. But who is responsible for choosing this photo?!? She looks like she's taking her bottoms off to go to the bathroom, and her face is uncomfortable. Same with her photo in the other calendar. So unflattering, I feel kinda bad for her. Some of these are just awful, and these are beautiful women.
  12. Khalyn looks stunning. Has there ever been an African American cover girl for the DCC Swimsuit Calendar or magazine? Years ago when Carissa was on the team there was a photo of her that was one of the best I'd ever seen - she was sitting on the edge of the pool with feet in the water, I think -and it didn't even make the calendar! I think, with all due respect, there needs to be additional "eyes" deciding the swimsuit calendar finalists.
  13. Best solos via the DCC insta page are Madeline, Lacey, and there was a rookie hopeful doing a burlesque type with terrific technique. Kashara's solo lacks any real techinique - very stiff muscles, bent knees, and lack of strength in her pointing feet. However, she sells it on field presence. Technique is not the only thing the DCC leadership look for, obviously. But she'll make it back as she's the leader of the squad. For people wondering who will be pointe, there is no way Kelly will replace Kashara as point. Not a chance. She was put there last season and stayed there. They would not demote her unless she did something damaging to the DCC brand. If she worked hard and earned it, good for her.
  14. Maybe erring on a yes, Maybe, No, Maybe, Big Yes.
  15. Well, that is far more specific, and if true, would be cause for issues in regards to her employment with the DCC. However sexist and puritanical, if she was given a direct order... I just hope that when putting any rumors or gossip out, as interesting as it may be, it should be followed up with fact. These can/may have serious implications for those being spoken about. Some, obviously, have turned out to be true, if we are going on the preview for the upcoming week. However, Shelly did post something a while back that none of our "info" was the truth. I think most of the astonishment for some fans is the fact that there is such a huge disconnect between what is acceptable behavior for the team of players, and what is acceptable for the dancers. Obviously, the football players are the major "bread winners" of the Dallas Cowboys organization. However, the DCC certainly are critical to the 4 billion valuation of the team, otherwise they wouldn't exist. I think it's a hard pill to swallow to see such an extreme form of misogyny in our current society.
