  1. They did mention they were 19 at the time so maybe something shifted after Jack died (but I also don't remember what we've been told previously, just what we've seen of them on the show).
  2. Fun easter egg - they said Joey Lawrence's fake name to get on the island was Mick St.John, and how they couldn't be a more fake name - Mick St.John was Alex O'Loughlin's character on Moonlight. That joy was ruined by picking up an entire cabin by helicopter. There had to have been an easier way. The bathtub. The kitchen table. The couch. I don't care for the new girl but I'm also a bit peeved about Chin and Kono. I just wish we didn't have another character with bad family issues and an attitude that made people say 'hey maybe you shouldn't hold a gun'
  3. HA that makes more sense. I was stuck on her hands and I had remembered her gesturing and I thought it was to her clothes but I went back and yeah.. no. Again "her name is another word for red" would help the clue
  4. This was a painful episode to end on. Weird Al surprised me at the end since I've seen him numerous times on Celeb Name Game and he normally does well, albeit a bit hyper and can get jumbled. He just tanked at the finale (and maybe Nancy threw him too). I sadly think I understood where Nancy was going with "red" for Scarlett but that is like 10 year old reference. To a dress she wore once. Ten years ago. I would have been furious if the other civilian won since in Charades, friggin Tyson whistled, Jane said "no sounds", they guessed whistle and then got the point. No. Automatic pass.
  5. I think she thought that was done once they slept together (or 'woke up together' whatever that involves). It's one thing to make out, go on a date, crash on the beach and see other people. I think it crosses a line to say "let's slow down" then have sex with with that person and then 12 hours later be making out with someone else in the pool. Slowing down means keeping it in your pants, imo.
  6. I never cared for Jessica Jones (the series and really the character) but I had to cackle at her rolling her eyes as Matt stumbled towards the piano and bumped into it.
  7. I enjoyed this one up until the last round - animals vs random things at an amusement park is not even close to comparable. At least the civilian was good enough and was really only let down by her team (though they weren't terrible just not as good as the other). Probably one of the fastest final rounds ever. This is Us team worked amazingly together, most likely because they know each other so well but it was nice to see (mostly because I've loved Sterling (Supernatural) and Justin (Passions) for awhile, and Chrissy is great). I didn't mind Song Sung Wrong as much this episode, most likely because the teams were good at least. Clueboom only made me laugh because of when Carson went to push the bowl he happened to look directly into it when it exploded. Otherwise it's mostly people fumbling to open up the little papers and meh.
  8. Seriously, I was back and forth in the beginning whether he was wrong but the last few weeks have clearly been pointing to Bryan, both on the show and in people actually spoiling it (Miami engagement party, the pics from July 4). I'm not quite sure how people who are spoiled can see otherwise, unless like you said, it's been a giant scheme on Peter, Rachel, and Bryan's behalf to fake it.
  9. A rough estimate of what I've seen on here, other boards, and podcasts I listen to. So no, it's not a scientific mathematical equation but on another board I visit, I've never seen a single positive thing said about Bryan. I'm sure there are people who do like him - aka Rachel for starters. And it's not simply in comparison to Peter - people hated him called Rachel sloppy seconds, thought he was aggressive by shoving his tongue down her throat the first night, think the fact that he was on a show about being a player was sketchy, that whenever she questioned something he settled on cliches to make it all better, and finally yes, his seemingly inappropriate dependent relationship with his mother. He comes across as if his shit don't stink and I am not a fan. Congrats on being one. Such is life.
  10. I don't doubt Peter had some jealousy, but really... 80% of viewers seem to despise Bryan so why is it suddenly that Peter is a baby who is jealous because he also doesn't like Bryan?
  11. Can we not make fun of a traditional Sikh name?
  12. I think she essentially said he wasn't ready for what she needed. Aka he wont propose and she's so desperate for that. I felt for everyone in Dean's whole situation. His dad thought he was doing the fatherly thing in providing financially without realizing that is not what his kids needed. Yes, he should have stepped up but parents aren't perfect, he lost his partner of 30+ years. He seems to have found solace in his faith, which good on him. But yeah, just depressing to watch. Didn't like the show brought it out for entertainment. Just crown Bryan already because he will propose. Peter is too normal and realistic for this show.
  13. I didn't have much of an issue with him saying that because he talks like I talk (which I know frustrates people). I say my motto is essentially 'the only thing I know is that I know nothing.' I am never 100% on anything because I kind of believe all sides to things (except major things say like, racism and equality), there will always be a part of me that is asking 'what if' so I took him saying "I'd like to think I'm ready" is that his mind might on board but you can never really know if your heart is willing to follow until you're there. He wants to be ready but like, she's asking him to propose after 6 weeks. I'd be hesitant too, despite being on the show and knowing what it is. Maybe he thought he'd be cool with it and realizing he may not be 100%. But I also get why that isn't considered a good thing. Also might explain why I'm single Edited to add - one thing that came out last night that would bug me if I were a man trying to date Rachel, she turns 'lawyer' way too easily. It's one thing when it's funny when she's calling Demario out but when you're trying to get a man to open up (aka Dean date) and you start to grill him like he's on the stand and not seeing how clearly uncomfortable he is, you need to take a step back
  14. Essentially he was a ~cool dad and when his mom died, he couldnt transition into an actual parent he could talk to so it strained their relationship and his dad went eccentric and they've had a tough go. He didn't want Rachel to judge him on his family situation, particularly that he would have a hard time building a solid family because of what he came from. This episode is kind of ridiculous. Rachel was so upset that Peter was like "well, if I'm not 100% ready to marry you, I wont propose" as if that's a bad thing... like, she'd rather go with her 2nd choice if he's ready to get married but Peter isn't? Bryan skeeves me out so bad and it surprises me every time that Rachel can't see straight through him
  15. You're in the right arena but not quite. The hotel background should be key.
  16. Why thank you! I've been around, not a heavy poster but have been digging around the boards more now that I'm doing a bit of a rewatch Let's try -
  17. Canadian who saw it Tuesday.... maybe have a glass of wine beforehand... (and this comes from someone who used to enjoy Hardwick)
  18. She gave birth last summer, so depending on when this was filmed she could have been a few months post-baby. I love Lauren Cohen but despite her enthusiasm, she is never good under pressure. Not sure why she was chosen for the final (though she did better than I expected her to) since she was the worst out of the three. It was a combo between not the best civilian, somewhat hard people, and not the best clues (though they were powering through when they realized saying things like "what a dog does" was the way to go). I never cared for Smash the Buzzer because it always showed how inappropriately dressed the women were for this show so the ball pit took that away and made it hilarious. The fact that the contestants can just say a full lyric in the monotone game and still be deemed correct is stupid. "it's too late now to say sorry" is not the same as "sorry".
  19. It aired on Tuesday night on CTV in Canada
  20. Pretty sure Peter just said that too... oh, pretty babe.
