S02: Week 4: September 13, 2020-September 19, 2020

Mac tried to pull the tears on Conner and him being like... you got your girls so like, shoo. Maybe he does have a backbone! Run Conner! Fast! Not straight to Moira's arms but nonetheless! I love how the story of what Jalen keeps changing when she tells it -

While yes that is terrible advice, if Mac has a meltdown anyone dares to not agree with her, I'd just say whatever and agree with whatever she says too just so I could get away and not deal with her BUT WHAT ABOUT ME?!? -

This is..... the most disgusting challenge I have seen on any reality show in my entire life and I've seen people eat testicles on Fear Factor and slugs on Survivor. -

Oh so... Moira is mad that Calvin didnt stay single so she could try for both of them because she didn't know what she wanted... and that is Calvin's fault... these woman are terrible. Love that Mackenize is still blaming Connor for the guys not liking her and understanding that her breaking up with him hurt her as well, despite macking on her new guy in front of him. Caleb is that good I think - he's been tearing up a number of times, the guys seem to like him. I'd be fine with him and Justine winning.- 340 replies

The bug-eyes of the men with Mac recoupling is my fav thing on this season so far. I am shocked that after all the tonguing Mercades did, she didn't make into the villa.- 340 replies

I've started to watch an older season of the UK version and it's shockingly how much more real and less annoying those contestants are, even after only 5 episodes that I've watched. Carrington was an asshole for that move I found it strange that they gasped that Calvin brought another girl.... after Moira chose someone else? Like did they want him to be alone and Moira to get both? -

In what world is Mercades reserved? Was it me or was that love language conversation.. nonsense? "what is your love language" "I don't need reassurance" "yeah that's mine too" I'm pretty sure NOT needing assurance is not one of the languages. -

I feel.... really bad for Conner. Not being aggressive is not a terrible thing (in fact it's probably a good thing since aggressive men are inherently the worst). Not having experience is not a terrible thing. Having the girl who has been draped over you for two weeks claiming 'he could never kiss passionately' is embarrassing. -

Mackenzie still managed to find a way to blame Connor for America not liking her, eh? -

I don't think there is a chance they'll get rid of Mac and Conner. They love him too much and I feel like there hasn't been enough talk about 'the game' to warrant getting rid of them for the money and too much talk of ~finding love that they believe they are trying. I think they'll get rid of Tre and Lauren because I don't think the girls like Lauren (and are scared of her) and like Kiersten more ultimately. -

Unsolved Mysteries - General Discussion
weightyghost replied to David T. Cole's topic in Unsolved Mysteries
It seemed like the group all arrived in different cars. One group left because they wanted to go to another party, the one guy left to get cigarettes but got lost and it seemed like he was half way home before realizing and just continued. He then called a third friend to ensure Zo had a ride home. So the question really is what did that third friend do and why. I think his friends were all 18ish since they said he was older than them - so old enough to know better sure but still teenagers who were most likely drunk and stupid. I remember having to shove my brother's friends out of the car because they wanted to drive drunk from a party. Teenagers do stupid shit with no ill intent... I think it was just a case of everyone thinking someone else had him and in the end, none of them did. Regarding your second point.... I feel like that is just how parties happen when you're teenagers. You hear from this friend who heard from their cousin who heard from their girlfriend that someone has an empty house for the weekend so a party is happening. -
I'm pretty sure it was a man who was running away.

I came in here just to see if other people thought this episode was really weird. The onslaught of flashbacks, the framing of some scenes was really weird, the random strangers we're supposed to care about, Irish's backstory spilled out in short vignettes.

S04.E13: Whenever You're Ready
weightyghost replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in The Good Place [V]
At first I was thrown off by just how quick they decided to go through the door (Jason was gone within the first 15 min of the episode) but it felt right. I'm completely on board with the whole idea of too much of a good thing and having the choice to move on... I don't find it depressing, it's peaceful to me. I can understand why it's seen the other way but I guess it falls back onto the different schools of thought - whether you believe you're part of a bigger picture and life is just a moment, or you think you have a greater purpose. Neither is wrong and the show had a difficult position to have to chose one. I'm happy with what they chose. I was completely cool until the wave speech and just sort of sobbed and then stopped and then started again when Eleanor went through and I have a headache now. It's nice though -
The bullshit aside of these shitty people throwing Janet under the bus for things they told her to do... are these people really pretending that personal preferences of people don't affect who they vote out? The first half of the game is 'i don't like them so I vote them'. Now suddenly bringing up "I am deeply uncomfortable and I'd like to not exist this way anymore" is too personal and should be left out of gameplay? This was the most frustrating episode of Survivor in a long time. This was such a picture of our generation - lots of "I have a mother" "I work with women" and the person who speaks up about their uncomfortableness and the man who supports her both get voted out. Perfect.

Truffle mushrooms are $95/oz (white truffles being almost twice as much) so those are a steal
-
They were trying to get there but you could tell neither of them could remember the name Misery - they said something along the lines of 'she kept the guy in her house'. I still despise the Song Sung Wrong game.
-
Shelter houses often refuse food that's open and/or potentially contaminated. Thunder Oak certainly couldn't sell it straight out - particularly how the girls were cutting it.
-
I read an interview with the judge from the Thunder Oak Cheese Farm and he said "They went through four wheels. It was insane... We couldn’t use any of the leftover cheese, so the camera men asked ‘This is garbage, right?’ and started munching on them.”(X) So it did get eaten at least!
-
They landed when it was still dark and with them leaving the house after midnight, it would be a six hour trip max... unless they did go out to the water and it was a nearly 24 hour trip for them to land in the dark again.

Being jealous in this situation is normal. I literally said in the sentence before that this wasn't normal dating.
-
But that's not what happened. Hannah went on a date with someone she is dating and went bungee jumping with him. Period. She didn't go on a date while she was married. She is dating. That is the show. None of this is 'normal dating'. The guys can be jealous all they want - whether it's the naked bungee, the straddling make outs, whatever. That is normal and fine. But Luke clearly had the issue with her being naked with another man because she was supposed to be his and being naked is only for marriage and she should respect the fact that he decided she is his now. That is his issue.
-
"ABSOLUTELY not." I love peace and love people who know when a game is a game.

Hester... makes a version of the same jacket she wore when she was designing it... what are the judges smoking when it comes to her. I don't get why the one judge was harping on Tessa's design ~telling a woman what her body should look like when she literally traced the model's body. It was definitely a way to force her into telling her story and it's just annoyingly obvious.
