I'm wondering if they ran into problems with Heather Hemmings being on two shows at once and it was too late to recast? Or it could just be racism. I do understand why, narratively they made her Rosa's friend before she's Liz's friend, but they've failed to build on that and bring her into the secret - a lot of her role also seems to have been moved to Kyle.
