  1. Those spoilers are killing me XD. Oh, god, I can't wait for this episode...
  2. I am SO looking forward to seeing what ghost bachelor parties are like XD. I like this potential love interest for Alberta, too, it'll be fun to see them hitting it off. This episode sounds like it's going to be very entertaining.
  3. And I have not seen any of those shows :p. But I appreciate the rundown of some of his more well-known TV gigs - he does seem like one of those kinds of guys who just seems to pop up in a lot of things, so it makes sense that he'd have a pretty varied resume like the kind you listed here :).
  4. The guy playing Jake looks kinda familiar to me. I liked the courtroom wedding, too, that was lovely :). Dan and Roz are a lot of fun together indeed. Dan's memories about his history with Christine were touching, too. Abby and Jake are cute. I feel Jake has a bit of a resemblance to her fiance from the first season in some ways, but they do have a fun chemistry and play off each other well. I'm glad they're planning to get a litlte more serious. Wyatt's ranting about his divorce was funny. And sad. But mostly funny :p. And ooh, yes, that ending indeed! Would be interested to see where they'd go with that in a season three.
  5. Glassman and Lim's mom hitting it off. That should be interesting... Totally thought Jerome was going to use his video chat moment with Asher to propose at the end. Probably wouldn't be as romantic, though, as being there in person. I do feel that's coming soon, though. I liked the case with Jordan and her friend. Their interaction was sweet, and I liked Jordan's interactions with Jared as well. I do htink he has something of a point about the types of men she tends to be drawn to, but I also understand why she reacted as she did to that assessment, too. I liked them having dinner together, and the ending with them was a nice touch as well. The case with the couple was sad - wrapped up a little more neatly than they were making it seem like it would, but I am glad that they were able to figure out what was really wrong with the guy. Even if you know long-term care in that kind of situation would be beneficial, I still get why his wife was reluctant to go there - the whole "makes it more real/official" thing and all.
  6. I liked her, too. There were a few teenagers that were good, but I do wonder how long some of them will last - some of them might be a little young yet to compete in this setting. Maybe would've been better to let them wait a couple more years. But overall, there were some pretty good singers last night.
  7. Just saw ths headline earlier: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/boeing-ceo-dave-calhoun-is-stepping-down-120606073.html
  8. This. And most schools do not have this kind of financial education for young people - if they do learn this stuff, it's usually not until they're at the age where they would need to start full on implementing those financial skills and understanding into their everyday lives, and by then it's...kind of already too late and they're stuck getting a literal crash course in the topic.
  9. Yeah, I'm not totally buying her "Oh, I've realized I did something wrong" turnaround, either. Of course she would be willing to testify against Jodi - more chance for her to potentially get al lighter sentence that way, and it was also likely a suggestion from her lawyers as well. But yeeeeeeeeeeeeeah, see, this is why I cannot get into the whole YouTube influencer thing in general. I mean, I'm not a parent, so I wouldn't be watching parent vlogs as it is, of any sort...but I have never understood this particular phenomenon of influencers in general, and I think any parents who try to monetize their lives with their children online like that - not saying they'll all turn out to be abusers, but I think the potential is rather high, because they're willing to put their kids in the public eye like that, and they're often young kids who don't have the ability to really consent to that sort of thing in the first place, and...yeah. It's just...too weird for me. Stories like this don't really surprise me all that much, it just seems the inevitable end result of a culture where everyone has to broadcast every last detail of their lives on social media like that. And then you add in the creepy conservative religious angle as well and that is just a recipe for disaster the whole way around. My mom made the same comparison when we were watching. It's definitely not mere coincidence that both those women were involved in super conservative religious stuff. We're just fortunate that these children were able to be saved before they met the same tragic end that Lori's children did. But yeah, when they started talking about how the husbands in Jodi's groups were accused of having "porn addictions", I knew the religion angle would be a factor before they even said it aloud. Jodi's whole "lifestyle consultant" thing or whateveri t was she claimed to be felt VERY much like those "self-help groups" that are basically covers for super religious cult-y creepy stuff, so again, it's not exactly a surprise there was abuse as a result of that. The fact that so many of her clients came from church recommendations, and you consider just HOW entwined the Mormon faith is in virtually every aspect of life in Utah in general...see, this is why we need to keep a strict, hard line between church and other parts of people's lives. That's just deeply unsettling. Especially when you consider that the church can use virtually ANYTHING as a "problem" that needs to be fixed by someone like Jodi. That bit with her when she was in prison, going on about how it was fitting that she'd be unjustly imprisoned only to wind up spreading the gospel...like, honey, no. Do not flatter yourself. Shut up. I did have to love the sheer irony of her being sent to a jail called Purgatory, though :D. Anywho, so yeah, my heart goes out to those poor children - those photos were horrific. I hope they are able to get all the help and support they need going forward.
  10. Yeah, every job I've had has been largely full of women, too (if not completely full of women). I've never had a man for a boss. Ever. Good luck on the new job, @RealHousewife!
  11. Yeah, that's a really cool move on his part. I hope it brought some comfort to the kids who saw it.
  12. We're gonna have a roller coaster of weather in my area these next few days - it's not bad out now, but it's supposed to get cloudy as the day goes on (getting cloudy now, in fact) and then we'll get snow tonight and tomorrow, and a fairly decent amount of it, too, if forecasts are any indication. Then Monday it'll be in the 50s and we could get thunderstorms, and then our temperature will drop like a rock and we'll get more snow Monday night into Tuesday. And somewhere in all that mix will be freezing rain/sleet as well. Iowa in the spring, ya gotta love it :p. But yeah, my mom and I had some croissants from Burger King this morning and now we're just going through the DVR and watching a few things. We stocked up on stuff at the grocery store the other day, too, so whatever crazy weather we do get these next few days, good excuse to just stay in and watch TV and enjoy some food here at home :D.
  13. Oh, lucky you! He'd be so fun to see in concert. Very cool about his friend showing up as well.
  14. Right? Why even bother with those kinds of lists if nobody's going to abide by them? There's also the fact that I've always felt if one's sex abuse crimes are the sort where you have to warn the public that they're out, and they're restricted in where they're allowed to go besides, that's...probably a sign they shouldn't, y'know, be out in the first place?
  15. I laways like to joke that the reason I liked dodgeball when I was in school was 'cause ducking when a ball came at you was the point :p.
  16. That's what always gets me about these kinds of stories - these people will bend over backwards to cover up this stuff to "protect their reputations". But apparently being exposed for covering up horrific crimes WON'T ruin their reputations??? How does that make any sense?
  17. "We care about people's mental health but also why are you celebrities who've been through your own shit not saying anything right now?" Seriously, some people just shouldn't be allowed access to the internet.
  18. I laughed harder than I probably should've at everyone getting hit in the face with the ball in that cold open :p. Everyone's facial reactions in that moment were just gold. I'd be all for more basketball scenes like that when possible on this show :D. The part of the panel that amused me the most was Gregory trying to slip between the two tables when he was talking...and he couldn't get through so finally he just gave up and sat down :p.
  19. Ahhhhh, yes, okay, there we go, thank you!
  20. Haha, Ava''s little speech at the end about how awesome Abbott, its' students, and the staff are :D. I loved it. Tell 'em, Ava! (Also, LOL at "Janine on a good day!") But yeah, while I totally sympathize with Gregory and Ava's frustration over how the panel went* (the look on Gregory's face when Tariq showed up to moderate was perfection XD), panel score schmanel score, everyone got some good stuff happeing, personally and professionally tonight. Yay for Janine getting her librarian extension program approved, yay for Gregory getting some interest from someone who wants to utilize his gardening activity for a state program, yay for Melissa and Jacob putting themselves out there again and having a bit of fun on the dating scene (and on the roof of Melissa's place, in Jacob's case :p!). That guy he was hooking up with is cute, go for it, Jacob :D! I liked the whole running thing of everyone being miffed about nobody telling anyone about their current dating lives. And Janine popping in and out on the CPR demonstration was great, too - I especially loved her, "Has human biology changed in the last three years?" line XD. *The woman playing Ava's sorority sister looked rather familiar to me. Gonna have to look her up.
  21. I'm not hanging out in college dorms or anything like that, but I still related a lot to Harris' thing of feeling like she can't really spend time with her friends 'cause they've all got kids. Yep. I get that all too well. I like the guys' night idea - them hanging out at Neville's office with the animals just makes sense, and I can definitely see it being a good way to de-stress. Especially if you've got cute cats and the like to look at there :D. As for Ben's whole thing of turning 50, I can understand Darlene's concern on some level, 'cause some people do go through a pretty big crisis when they hit a milestone age, but in Ben's case, I don't think that's really going to be a problem. I'm going to be 40 later this year and that realization is throwing me a bit, so I get where Ben's coming from on some level. But it really doesn't have to be any more significant than "Wow, I'm middle aged." :p (not knocking being milddle aged, mind, just noting the general reaction a lot of people have when they get htere :D).
  22. That has been on my "to check out" list, yes - I've heard so many good things and the commercials I've seen for it made it look pretty fun :D. So yeah, definitely gonna have to get on that as soon as possible.
  23. Rhys from "Flight of the Conchords" ! I know he's been in other things since then, of course, but that's where I've seen him before :D. He was fun on here, I liked his interaction with Gurgs and Abby throughout. Alistair and Gurgs made for a cute couple - I'd be cool with him showing up again sometime :). Dan's whole beef with Duncan was fun, too. I also liked Dan's comment when watching that couple sharing a piece of spaghetti at the beginning: "And they're not serving spaghett here, which means they had to bring htat from home." I like the interaction between Wyatt and Olivia, they make for a fun duo when they have a storyline together.
  24. Oof, well, that was an uncomfortable ending with Shaun and Charlie. Indeed, she has a few things to learn, for sure, and I get that people can get especially tense when trying to work on a patient and that can affect their demeanor and attitude with others as well. But yeah, Shaun saying people didn't give him any breaks is...quite an interesting bit of selective memory. Yes, his co-workers were quite tough on him, but he also got a lot of leeway and sympathy that other people didn't always get. And people like Glassman were always going to bat for him as well and defending him in the moments when he was struggling. I trust Shaun will eventually come to that realization himself and will figure out a good way to better interact with Charie going forward, though, so I do hope we get to see more of that over time. I did like the case that Shaun, Charlie, Jared, and Asher were working. Very strange and interesting. And I like Jared's interaction with Charlie, he seems to know how to connect with her and balance being honest with being friendly. I also like the rapport between Park and Dom. I can't say I blame Dom one bit for his reaction to the patient they were working, 'cause yeow, but yes, he'll need to figure out that whole "getting queasy" thing sooner rather than later. Asher and Jerome's story was cute. And Morgan picking Shaun and Lea is a sweet choice. I like how Morgan and Lea have hit it off.
