  1. I've checked the last couple of weeks but haven't seen any US release date posted.
  2. The Bell Riots!!!! Guess it's time for me to watch "Past Tense" again.
  3. Saw an ad on Ovation today that said they'll start airing season 17 in February.
  4. I liked the Christmas special. The mystery was so-so, but I liked seeing the camaraderie between the characters at the station and Humphrey with Martha. Mostly I was glad for the absence of Archie!
  5. I liked the new Christmas special (it might be the best one yet) Compelling mystery and fun interactions between our core characters. I also really liked Neville's mum. She was so kind to the missing woman's fiance, and she was a hoot with Catherine. Pumped for season 13.
  6. It's taken me about 6 months, but I've finally finished binging seasons 1-16, and the one thing I have to say is, "Writers, please stop having Julia accused of murder!" Only half kidding on that. Does anyone know when season 17 will come to Acorn?
  7. Yay! Most pressing question for me: will Girls5Eva play Fort Worth and perform "Time to Tap Into Your Fort Worth!"
  8. Awesome news! I loved season 2! Jane Seymour is great in this show.
  9. Finally saw this movie last month at an independent theater in New York, and I really enjoyed it. The chemistry between Ethan Hawke and Pedro Pascal was 🔥. Through their performances, they conveyed the depth of the relationship and longing between Jake and Silva. Jason Fernandez and Jose Condessa, the actors portraying young Jake and Silva, were also great, even though they didn't have a ton of screen time. And of, course, this being Pedro Almodovar, this is a beautiful film. The landscapes! The colors! All enchanting. The plot's pretty straightforward, but the heart of the movie is Silva and Jake's relationship. This movie is shown alongside Almodovar's other English-language short, The Human Voice, which is basically a one-woman show featuring Tilda Swinton as a woman struggling with accepting a breakup. It's Tilda, so of course it's good. Neither film is on a streaming platform in the US yet, but I'll be rewatching both if/when they are.
  10. Ha! I loved seeing him in the captain's chair. He really took to it!
  11. "The Maquis would like a word." I swear, this took me out! 😅
  12. "I think we should find shelter before anything is brought." It's official, T'Lyn is my favorite on this show. Love that they brought in the history of TNG's Lower Decks episode. My ears perked up as soon as I heard the name Nichols Locarno. And I love that Mariner knew both Sito and Nick. I liked Marniner and Ma'ah first fighting then teaming up. I was touched when he said "Beckett is honorable; she would not betray us." Tendi is such a delight! Loved her swooping in as Mistress of the Winter Constellations! Freeman, Shax, and Rutherford were also fun. Of COURSE she had a plan to get that info about Locarno! This finale should be interesting.
  13. That was hilarious. I won't miss Badgey. I could learn to like Goodgey if he doesn't turn on Rutherford and crew. It was nice to see the normal pairings switched up. We don't often get to see Mariner with Rutherford and Boimler with Tendi. I liked it. It's interesting that the AIs all had similar realizations - dominating isn't all it's cracked up to be.
  14. I've really enjoyed the last 2 episodes of Mrs. Sidhu Investigates. The characters really gelled for me as the series went on. I hope it gets a second season. Also LOVED the first 2 episodes of season 2 of Harry Wild. The writers haven't missed a beat with this show. It remains irreverent and heartfelt. Loving the chemistry between Harry and Fergus. And it looks like they'll be making Charlie less clueless this season, which will be good.
  15. Really enjoyed this episode. Boimler getting sucked into Landlord Cops was hilarious! I also loved Mariner and her Ferengi bestie (Quimp?) He gave her some good advice! Tendi and Rutherford were so fun in this. I loved their quick thinking to get out of the Ferengi resort. And what a delight to have Max Grodénchik and Chase Masterson reprising their roles as Rom and Leeta. Leeta really has embraced the Ferengi philosophy 😁 I did miss T'Lyn and Shax.
  16. Yay! I have missed this show so much! I can only rewatch the first series so much 😁 Enjoying Mrs. Sidhu Investigates. Meera Syal is delightful, and her rapport with Craig Parkinson is hilarious. And the mysteries have been solid. Hope it gets a second season.
  17. Her increasingly irritated reactions were delightful ("Oh come on, what are the odds!")
  18. "I suppose by the transitive property, I am also Vulcan as a motherf*****!" Have I mentioned that I adore T'Lyn. The Romulans so disappointed the Cerritos didn't cross into the Neutral Zone made me chuckle. Curious to find out what's been destroying the ships across the quadrant.
  19. I’m loving T’Lyn. She’s great with all our Lower Deckers. I laughed so hard at this. That was so cute and gave me all the feels. I’ve been wondering about Boimler’s twin. What’s the last we saw of him?
  20. Ransom: Shaka, when the walls fell. Kayshon: Sukath, his eyes uncovered. I legit cackled.
  21. I did feel like Sullivan's character changed. When he was first on, he didn't have disdain for all things Kembleford. But this time around, he spent the whole season trying to get out of Kembleford and back to his job at Scotland Yard. I guess it would be hard for someone like him to go from the prestige of Scotland Yard back to policing a small village, but the change in character was jarring.
  22. Watched the first half. Carmona's goal was beautiful. But at some point, I realized I wasn't terribly invested in either team, so I turned it off and followed the rest via The Guardian live blog. I couldn't hang with the time difference, so I saw very few matches. Of the little I saw, really enjoyed watching Columbia play. I was bummed when they lost. Hoping to see them come back strong at the next tournament. Congratulations to the Spanish players.
  23. Finished season 3! Shax finally got to eject the warp core! I cackled when Freeman said, “This is one of those Brigadoon-type planets.” Same when Kayhson said “Arnock on the night of his joining” as Shax victory-lapped to the warp core. Buenamigo: When you become an admiral, you hit a wall. LOL. I guess that's true. Picard is funding Petra’s archaeological work? That tracks. The animation on this show is top notch, and this show is a delight!
