  1. Until the sequels. Those Hollywood premiere pics looked like Wakandan Fashion Week. I approve.
  2. Amen to that. Whatever mistakes Liam has made in the past, Bill lost his right to throw shade at him for them the second he fucked Hat Trick with his own dick instead of fucking her vicariously through his sons' for a change.
  3. Bumping it up with a couple of songs from The Get Down, the prematurely canceled (IMO) Netflix series about the birth of hip-hop. Of course it's filled with great music, such as the rap battle between The Get Down Brothers & the Notorious 3. Since it's about the music, please pardon the the Spanish subtitles : The Get Down Brothers Vs. The Notorious 3 The next one is "Set Me Free," by Mylene Cruz & the Soul Madonnas featuring the gospel choir of Pastor Ramon Cruz's (aka Mylene's father's) church: "Set Me Free"
  4. One of the best threads on Twitter is BlackHogwarts. Here it is-and you're welcome: BlackHogwarts
  5. Wendy has always seemed jealous of Oprah for years, but her potshots at Oprah's brilliant Golden Globes acceptance speech was a new low. Since Oprah is the first Black woman ever to win the Cecil B. DeMille Award, her speech was not only iconic, it was historic, but instead of appreciating it & giving Oprah the credit she deserves, Wendy insults her looks & trivializes her accomplishments, like the stupid, petty & tacky bitch she is. If Wendy was even half the woman that she thinks she is, then she would be grateful to Oprah because if Oprah hadn't paved the way back in the day, Wendy might not have a talk show in the first place.
  6. From this year's Golden Globes, Oprah Winfrey's speech accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award was so relevant, so powerful & so perfect that it both moved me to tears & made me çheer at the same time.
  7. Since the story is fantasy-based,if Farrell couldn't have played Grindenwald, I still think they could have cast him in another role. As far as I'm concerned, if Dumbledore can be recast twice, they could find something for Colin Farrell to do.
  8. Or they could have just kept Colin Farrell.
  9. Just in time for Christmas, I'm bumping it up to àdd the fight scene from A Christmas Story, where Ralphie beats up Farkus the school bully, punching & cussing the whole time until Ralphie's mom breaks it up. Another classic fight scene is from another Christmas classic: Die Hard, McClane vs. Karl, especially when McClane threatened to "kill, cook & eat" Karl.
  10. My verdict: meh. The performances were great, especially Ana Gasteyer, Jane Krakowski, Ken Jeong, Fred Armisen, Chris Diamonpolis (sp?) & the kids, but most of the songs were forgettable. The Greatest Showman preview was a much better musical in 2 & a 1/2 minutes that this show was in 3 hours. PB would have made a great narrator, Santa Claus or Mr. Bumpus. David Alan Grier was a funny Santa, but PB would have been a nice shout-out to the original film.
  11. Bumping it up with a segment from CNN Newsroom with guests Angela Rye, April Ryan & Symone Sanders responding to the "resignation" of former White House employee Omarosa, which was so funny that even host Brooke Baldwin couldn't help laughing: "Bye girl, bye!"
  12. From Good Morning, America, the moment when former White House employee Omarosa gave her first interview after she "resigned" from her job (whatever it was) & she tried to spin it the best she could. However, Robin Roberts not only wasn't having it, she put her on full blast & it was glorious. Roberts didn't just throw shade at Omarosa, it was a full-fledged eclipse. Here's the video: Robin Roberts Disses Omarosa
  13. ITA. For all of Joe Biden's faults/mistakes, he's one of the humblest, most decent & classiest men in politics, if not the world. If anyone knows what Meghan McCain's going through, it's Biden. Meghan McCain gets on my nerves 99% of the time, but Biden's compassion for her & her father made her seem human to me for the first time. Here's the video: Joe Biden & Meghan McCain
  14. For all of Joe Biden's faults/mistakes, he's still one of the humblest, most decent & classiest people in American politics & the world, as he showed with MM. MM works my last nerve 99% of the time, but as someone who has been a caregiver, I know what she's going through. If anyone knows how MM feels it's Biden & his compassion for her & her father made her seem human to me for the first time. The "Suck it, Bannon" tweet was funny, too. Joy's response to Omarosa's getting fired was much classier than she deserves.
  15. This is the thread for The Shape Of Water, the story of a research lab that captures a half-man, half amphibian creature who meets a mute, human cleaning woman. It stars Sally Hawkins, Doug Jones, Octavia Spencer, Michael Shannon & Richard Jenkins, is directed by Guillermo Del Toro, has been nominated for 14 Critics' Choice Awards and is generating huge Oscar buzz.
  16. Bumping up with this photo of Idris Elba and Hugh Jackman, in which Elba suggested on his Twitter feed (where the picture is also posted)a reboot of Guys and Dolls with him & Jackman as Sky Masterson & Nathan Detroit, which, IMO, would be epic, if done right. ETA that I would post it if Twitter cooperated, but since it's not, the photo can be seen in the "Movie Star Crushes" thread. You're welcome.
  17. There's a "TV Star Crushes" thread in the "Everything Else TV" section.
  18. ITA. Jackman has made the role so iconic-especially in Logan-that anyone who replaces him will be lucky to even come close.
  19. Jeff Goldblum, aka Dr. Ian Malcolm, is back? I'm back.
  20. Re Bryan Singer's getting fired from Bohemian Rhapsody, the Freddie Mercury biopic I'm not surprised. Apparently, there have not only been production problems from the start, he was fighting with Rami Malek, the star, culminating in Singer's reportedly throwing something at Malek, hence Singer's getting fired. Singer claims that he's been stressed out because he's been caring for a sick parent, but I'm not buying it. Plenty of directors have had problems, but they still managed to be professionals. Sir Ridley Scott had to reshoot scenes replacing Kevin Spacey with Christopher Plummer for All the Money In the World and AFAIK he didn't throw any hissyfits. Given the rumors about Singer, I see at least a few #MeToo moments coming his way. As for Tyrese, he needs to have several seats. Tyrese is his own worst enemy, whether he's picking fights with Dwayne Johnson, whining on Instagram, claiming that there's going to be a sequel to Four Brothers, which isn't true, his claiming to be broke despite taking trips to Dubai & owning two houses, (complete with Benihana & Starbuck's) or his claiming on the radio that his marriage to his foreign first ex wife was of convenience, jeopardizing her citizenship, her freedom & her custody of their daughter-who could wind up in foster care. Tyrese's life is a shit storm of his own making.
  21. Courtesy of Deadpool's alter ego Ryan Reynolds, here's another promo via Twitter about, of all things, tattooes, which is also partially in Portugese: Deadpool Does Tattooes-and Also, Speaks Portugese
  22. Here's a pic of Hugh Jackman meeting Idris Elba. With all that hotness in the same place, it's a wonder the room didn't burst into flames: When Hugh Met Idris
  23. Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley & Adam Driver are on the cover of the new Rolling Stone.
  24. So is assuming that anyone is LGBT unless they say it themselves. :) It would be nice if a Star Wars movie had a major LGBT character, but if it doesn't, I wouldn't be surprised. I'm not in a shipper war, but if I was, since I'm immune to iocaine powder (unlike Vizzini), I'll be fine.
