  1. I'm among those who think that the petition is bullshit. There are things I hate about this season too, whether it's the character assassination (Jamie, Dany or Sam-whom I heart-who claimed that he wanted to fight in the wight battle but he was more useless than Lyanna a little girl who died killIing a giant) real assassination (Misssandei (RIP)) or non assassinations (Jamie & Cersei), but I'm not gonna waste my time begging HBO to indulge me in an exercise in futility. At least fanfics are free.
  2. Richard Madden is in Rocketman, the R-rated Elton John biopic, as John's manager.
  3. If I were Cersei, after what she did to Missandei,, then she should pray that Drogon gets to her before Greyworm. At least with Dtogon death would be quick. As far as I'm concerned, if Cersei doesn't care enough about her own people to save them, then she's got blood on her hands too. You know nothing, Jaime Lannister.
  4. Arya deserves every "Hell, yeah!" she gets, especially after she fought the wights before she kicked the Night King's cold, undead ass.
  5. From the "Knight Of the Seven Kingdoms" episode of Game Of Thrones, the scene when Jaime knights Brienne was so "Hell, Yeah!" worthy that I cheered at the end.
  6. it up with a scene from the "Silent All These Years" episode of Grey's Anatomy, in which one of the storylines was about a patient/rape survivor who was so traumatized by her attack that she didn't even want to tell her husband that she was raped, let alone report it.Even the sight of any man's face was triggering for her. Just before going to surgery, the hallway was suddenly filled with female staffers who stood against the wall in a silent show of moral support, letting her know that it wasn't her fault and she wasn't alone, which inspired her to tell her husband and to report the rape. Although GA isn't "perfect" by any means, this was one its best moments in years. I haven't cried this much over a GÀ scene since Denny Duquette died.
  7. Same here. That the scene shows how much some things still haven't changed despite the past few decades of progress makes it even worse.
  8. Sterling K. Brown from This Is Us hosted last year. After watching this years Golden Globes, I would love to see Sandra Oh, Regina King, Rami Malek, Olivia Colman or Mahershalala Ali host.
  9. After seeing Surviving R. Kelly, I don't know which is more disturbing: the stories of the survivors themselves or the excuses of the so-called "adults" who, for whatever reasons, didn't even try to protect them.
  10. The last few minutes of BlacKkKlansman are very disturbing, to say the least.
  11. BlacKkKlansman has gotten four Golden Globe nominations: John David Washington for Best Actor, Adam Driver for Supporting Actor, Spike Lee for Best Director & Best Motion Picture, Drama.
  12. To celebrate B99's NBC debut, instead of asking Andy Samburg to host again, maybe they could ask one of his co-stars like Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Chelsea Peretti or Andre Braugher.
  13. The good news: Sharna finally got a mirrorball. The bad news: it was two years too late. As far as I'm concerned, if the show had worked like it was supposed to, Bobby Bones wouldn't have gotten within shitting distance of the finale, let alone won.
  14. The shark didn't just jump; it flossed. JP, Milo & Evanna robbed ? Grand larceny is more like it. Still love ya, Tom, but FUCK! THIS! SHOW! 😬
  15. From the "Better Late Than Never" files, Idris Elba was finally named People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive."
  16. Three words: "Donovan Meets Donald."
  17. He played the Beast (before & after) in live-action reboot of Beauty & The Beast, so he's a movie star too.
  18. Ryan Gosling's smirk is way better than anything Kanye-related, as far as I'm concerned.
  19. "Chain Of Fools," indeed. Like we say in the South, "Bless their hearts," aka "They can go fuck themselves," preferably with chainsaws.
  20. Aretha Franklin had many iconic musical TV moments, whether it was her singing Nussum Dorma at the 1998 Grammys, her performance at 1998's Divas Live, her singing at President Obama's Inauguration or her 2015 performance of "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" in tribute to songwriter Carole King at the Kennedy City Center Honors. As if Ms.Franklin's strutting onto the stage in a full-length mink coat like she owned the place wasn't awesome enough, she played the piano-until she stood up, finished the song, slaying every step of the way & dropped her mink on the floor, like the Queen she was. Only a true diva, in the best sense of the word, could get away with that. RIP & "R-E-S-P-E-C-T," Ms. Franklin.
  21. To call Aretha Franklin legendary or iconic would be understatements. So much brilliance, so little time.Of all her classics, some of her best were on the soundtrack to the original Sparkle, which were written by Curtis Mayfield, such as "Jump," "Hooked On Your Love" & "Giving Him Something He Can Feel." Besides gospel, pop & (of course) soul, Aretha made her mark on Rock & Roll (as in her being the first woman to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame) & even opera, when she was a last-minute substitute for Luciano Pavarotti & did a take on Nussum Dorma at the 1998 Grammys that was magnificent, to say the least; then again, she was magnificent, to say the least. RIP, Aretha. A Queen then, a Queen now, a Queen forever.
  22. In tribute to the late, great Aretha Franklin, here's"Think," from The Blues Brothers, which not only makes a great movie even better, it makes people sing and/or dance along every time, including me: Think RIP, Ms. Franklin. The Queen is dead. Long live the Queen.
  23. After seeing the trailer for Crazy Rich Asians, I think that leading man Henry Golding is hot. Sichuan hot.
  24. Jason Spencer showed his dumb, racist ass, in every way. To paraphrase the old saying, "Sometimes it's better to be silent & thought a fool, than to drop your drawers & remove all doubt."
  25. Spike Lee is on the cover of this week's Time magazine.
