  1. Remember when Veronica was also a legal officer of Lodge Industries and Hermione had to actually ask her to sign a motion? But I guess in Riverdale there really is no such thing as law. Fangs' newfound het/bi sexuality aside, why did they took him out when everyone knew the timing of his release? Couldn't they wait for a couple of hours until some of that crowd dispersed? And I don't think I saw that many Serpents present which I found weird considering people were ready to lynch one of their own.
  2. I'm so happy that I don't have a "cool" mom. Also, I've seen like dozens of selfies of Kylie since she gave birth, but only 1 photo where she was holding her baby. "Cool" mom, indeed.
  3. Every time I see a photo of her, I feel like she has a completely different face, I can't recognize her. Like I ran into some old pictures of her (taken within a few months) and I don't know whether she always looked different because her hair was a new color/length every day or because of all the re-touching, but unless her name pops up, I would never think it was her.
  4. Everyone who keeps up with them needs a degree in genealogy.
  5. A-list reality star? JFC, what fucked-up society let this happen??!
  6. Just watching an episode from season 7 and holy hell, what manifactured "drama". Kris (who is doing who knows what around the house) wants Bruce to pick up her dress from dry cleaning, but he says he can't because he has a golf date. Then he returns presumably a couple hours later and tells Kris he forgot the dress, but the place is like 5 minutes away so he is going now. This causes Kris to tell him that she is not going to wear the dress because she doesn't have 10 minutes to wait (apparently she was standing in her kitchen 10 minutes before this supposed red carpet event, had no make-up or hair done and generally didn't seem to be in any hurry) for Bruce to pick it up. WTF?
  7. I'm still on season 7 of KUWTK but I wanted to write in here after reading the thread. Before I actually got to "know" the KarJenner clan, Kylie was the sister who was completely unknown to me and so I considered her to be the most normal of the bunch and least fame-driven but how quickly my perception changed... I simply can't believe the existence of such a person, even amidst a family that is famous for being famous. Some people are sympathetic to Kylie for having the misfortune of living among people driven solely by fame and money, citing her family as the reason she is insecure and has body dysmorphia. Now, I consider this a very serious problem and kids' worldview can be warped beyond reason by their parents/loved ones. But I also don't think that just because you are born in "sickness" and your family is "sick", that you have to be "sick" as well. Once Kylie was 18, she had considerable funds to break away from her family's (Kris' in particular) influence and find her own identity and purpose. She has the means to educate herself (not speaking just high school/college), to see the world and the people who live in it, to reevalute her experiences. If she feels anxious for this and that, she can seek professional help. If she doesn't like "haters" commenting on her screaming-for-attention selfies, she can stop posting them. If she doesn't want to be viewed only for her bank acount and fame but as an actual human (which I strongly doubt), she shouldn't be throwing money at people who are obviously only with her because they know they are going to get financially supported. I don't think she is at fault for growing up the way she did (giving what her parental control and support were), but I do believe every person can have some common sense and realise that perhaps something in their life is not the way it should be, that it doesn't make them happy. We constantly develop as people so it's not like she has to be forever locked in this state of mind. Whatever we comment about her older sisters, I think that they were comparatively luckier in that they had much more normal childhood/teenage years, got to at least graduate high school and even get a college degree or two, have a normal job in the DASH store and Kim did a lot of work into building her brand, from which everyone in the family got the rub. Kylie, on the other hand, while she seemed like a happy and normal kid in the first seasons, has apparently "broken down" from that lifestyle and is literally showing the consequences now. She was supposed to be a "two for the price of one" deal with Kendall but she ended up eating her dust; when I see the Kendall + Kylie collections, I always feel like they just slapped Kylie's name there just so she can have some "achievement". Her cosmetics line has made a ridiculous amount of money on nothing but name recognition and I highly doubt that Kylie has had any substantial role in anything regarding "her business" (the most she has done most likely is just choosing colors). The others in the KarJenner clan and their supporting casts have at least one (semi) redeemable quality or are just entertaining on reality show level, but Kylie is the actual KenDULL (Kendall is at least in the modeling business which I think would be fairly interesting to see in a reality show). Absolutely nothing of interest with her, no personality at the moment (she was the more memorable between her and Kendall the first few seasons - after I could differentiate between their faces - because she was outgoing and had some life in her), no desire to improve herself (and I definitely don't mean her body), nothing but selfies. I actually laughed for five minutes straight when I heard that Life of Kylie was a thing because it seemed like the most boring television ever produced. I truly can't see anything positive in this girl and yet I see heaps of young girls proclaiming her their "queen" (though I suppose King is more appropriate) and bow to her as if there is a drought and she has to water their crops. I can sorta see why Kendall can be considered an idol - she may not have worked hard to get into the modeling business, but she is working hard in it now and millions of girls would love to be so successful as models. But why the hell would they be delusional enough to think that Kylie has done anything deserving of praise? As I already mentioned, I don't think she has worked much even on the cosmetics line carrying her name, the same line that millions have bought (and most of them probably used their parents' credit cards cause Kylie used to do that too!!! #goals) not because of quality but because of brand recognition that Kylie has barely put her back into. Why young girls are so delusional as to think that Kylie hasn't had plastic surgery, it's just really good make-up!!! (She should have went on to become a make-up artist so that the world can move on from plastic surgery.) Why Kylie pretends that she kept her surgeries a secret because she doesn't want her young fans and their parents to think badly of her? If you really care about people's opinion of you, you wouldn't have done them in the first place (even if Kris signed her agreement, is there really no way to prevent it?) or you wouldn't be posting your ass on social media. If Kylie cared about sending a positive message, she would have said "Fuck it, I don't want to destroy myself to look like Kim!". There comes a point when you see the negative effects plastic surgery has on you and then you can do nothing but cry over spilled milk. I don't get why she had dogs she clearly doesn't take care of and I especially don't get why the hell she has decided to give birth to and "raise" a child. I truly believe this kid will have it the worst out of the KarJenner offspring. Kylie had it pretty bad but her kid will have it even worse with a someone like her for a mother. I do hope though that motherhood might give Kylie a bit of a boost to open her eyes to the real world and the real valuables, which are not implants and selfies.
  8. I'm not going to enjoy much watching Ruby being so head-bangingly(?) stupid. Like, this is the second time this week (The Gifted) I'm watching a kid outing someone's powers which 1) is none of their business to do unless that person is very dangerous, 2) is none of their business, 3) is so fucking stupid, 4) is none of their business and it's fucking stupid. Besides, telling someone your mom has superpowers and then punching them when they don't believe it? And walking in a dangerous situation, which by the way can lead to your death way earlier than your mother can appear and use her dubious powers to save you. Also, as Sara Lance said, they have bills to pay so what, she expects her mom not to work and rob banks? Just mind-boggling from everywhere.
  9. Don't even get me going on reboot!Kirk and his promotion. He would have fitted perfectly in the Red Squad. Mind you, at the very least he helped save Earth/Federation so he still has more going on for him. And the reboot had some reason for staffing every cadet somewhere. I could handwave a lot of things but the inconsistencies in rank/position/experience strongly bother me.
  10. I think this episode may take the cake for the "Most Frustrating/Unrealistic/Etc Episode of Star Trek" for me. We've seen plenty of senseless admirals and ambassadors, but who in the FUCKING HELL would staff a state-of-the-art warship to circumnavigate the entire Federation (which would take way more than mere 3 months) with absolutely inexperienced cadets 5:1 (some of which are seventeen years old), have them maintain strict radio silence and don't require any communication from them while they are roaming Dominion space, spying on a Dominion ship during a Dominion-centered war. This is the biggest headscratcher I've encountered in the entire ST verse thus far. The Red Squad are full of someone informed ability, hype and bullshit that it's surprising they didn't run into a problem with the waste extraction system. They give those kids everything and make them out to be like fucking gods in Starfleet, where everyone (as well as pretty much anyone who enlists on starships) has to be like a Mensa genius at the very least and yet, they even lack common sense and think they can cheat death. Now, this may be common among youngsters who are constantly put on a pedestal as being "the best of the best" but that's not behaviour which would benefit anyone in Starfleet. And what's up with them all being cadets? Kirk (who in the TNG/DS9 timeline would have easily been part of the Red Squad) was good enough to get a field assignment as Ensign but none of those overhyped arrogant kids have had any minimum experience prior to putting them on such an important and dangerous mission where they outnumber experienced officers? Fucking hell, because "they are special". "First officer" barking at Jake that he shouldn't be bringing up home because they don't need people who want to be with mommy and daddy? Like, girl, all of you needed to be with mommy and daddy because you were the only entirely shitty crew in all the Trek verse (usually, other crew limit themselves to one or two unreasonable officers not everyone) and you had no business being there, instead of sensibly being stationed across a multitude of starships where the experienced officers are like few dozens to one. Minor nitpicking - the "Captain" makes Nog from Ensign to Lt Commander to fill the needs, except the rank wouldn't have mattered as 1) Nog outranks them anyway, at least everyone bar the "Captain", 2) what kind of rank structure would they even have and how arbitary are their positions when they all started out as cadets, 3) rank doesn't equal position. I only wish the "Captain" and "First officer" had survived to witness the death and destruction their behaviour brings. Aggghh, I hate this episode with unrivaled passion.
  11. Carole and Susan acting like Ross was just a sperm donor they picked out to make them a kid and not telling him or consulting with him on major things like Ben's last name.
  12. The most overrated singer in absolutely every regard for me is Harry Styles. Words can't actually describe how sick I am of everyone jumping on his dick like he's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
  13. I like that in "Frenemies" (I think), Samantha and Charlotte had that falling out and Samantha found a woman much closer to her own views, but ultimately she was too much even for her and Samantha realised that sometimes it's okay to be a bit more reserved like Charlotte.
  14. Rachel and Monica moving their stuff back into their apartment when Joey and Chandler were living there - Monica was the one to accept gambling the apartment and the boys won it fairly twice and yet, they just moved their stuff like that! It was a dick move IMO. Charlie and her ex-boyfriend getting back together and kissing in front of Ross. And that was after the ex tried to make Ross give up his relationship for a job opportunity! A lot of instances in the later seasons where Rachel and Phoebe would act as if Chandler was the worst person Monica could have gotten together with. Ross and Rachel's turbulent relationship (which I don't mind) getting better treatment from their friends than Monica and Chandler's stable and supportive relationship. Richard appearing at Monica's restaurent and telling her he was working with blind kids in Africa and Monica going "What are you doing to me?!" as if that made Richard the perfect candidate for her to be with. (I know Chandler still wasn't ready for kids but she broke up with Richard because he didn't want kids at his age.) Actually, the entire "Chandler or Richard" debate was entirely too contrived. Chandler was trying to make himself appear anti-marriage but multiple episodes before that had shown Monica being careful with talking about kids in front of Chandler because she knew he wasn't ready but in the sense that she knew it would just take time for them to get to that point, not that it was never going to happen. Now suddenly she is willing to overlook all their progress together and consider Richard?
