  1. I also think they will be healed. It didn't even occur to me until 20 minutes after the show ended. I was like "Oh, Nick will just use the stick and heal them." But that would feel kind of like a cheap shot, too--done just t freak people out. I do like, however, when shows go the extra mile and kill off loved characters. But not Wu! Not Hank! Noooo!
  2. I loved the first two seasons of the 100. Now I have no idea what is going on with this show. I was confused throughout. Maybe I just need to watch again. I'm not feeling anything. Nothing. No emotional connections with the characters whatsoever. Who were the people in Polis? Grounders? Why didn't they look like the traditional Grounders, with their shabby-chic-fur look? I have a lot more questions but maybe I should watch again before I sound like a complete dummy.
  3. Does anyone know how the ratings are? I love this show and hope that Showtime is getting good ratings with it. I'd hate to see it go away. Game of Thrones was my favorite show for four seasons, but last night, I found myself looking forward to our trepid Dreadfuls more so than Thrones.
  4. I just want to know when Clarke is going to make-out with Lexa. ETA: No show is perfect, and the 100 has its share of flaws, many mentioned upthread, but the show still surprises me, in the way that they don't always take the easy choice, which so many shows do. For example, that scene at Mt. Weather when Jasper & Co. are attacked. Most shows would not have the teens actually kill, and when they did that sneak attack when they were playing dead, I was really surprised. It was brutal. Most teen shows stop short of that. That's the one thing I like about the 100 and makes me continue to watch. They seem to try to break a few rues now and then, and for a network show, that is a big accomplishment.
  5. My faith in the show and this season was just reaffirmed with Finn's death. Seeing a character killed off on a network show like this, especially one centered around teens is rare. I was wondering how they were going to live up to the convention-shattering episodes and character developments from season one. Still don't care for, what's his name? Grounder/Reaper dude? He is a complete traitor to his people. Why?! Bellamy should have killed him off when he and his sister came across him as a reaper in the previous episode.
  6. I see a few inconsistencies in Cage’s character. He was concerned with the girl who was outside, dying to get back in. Literally. But on the other hand, he was looking on in glee as Harper or whatever her name is, was getting drilled for bone marrow. Also I was really hoping Lincoln would die. I’ve always liked the show because of its surprises and realism. When Bellamy and Octavia came across Lincoln in the garage--in the episode before this last one--Lincoln charged them so quickly that someone like Bellamy would have immediately shot him. I found it out of character for Bellamy to be sympathetic to his sister and the threat that Lincoln posed to the both of them. He should have said, “He’s gone Octavia We can’t bring him back.” But no, I'm sure they have to keep him around for the love interest. Ugh.
  7. Oh God, I can't watch anymore. I was just hate-watching because it was fun. I also liked listening to the Afterbuzz TV podcast. That was more fun than the actual show. But now, with the characters on the show not even acting like Real Human Beings, I just can't take it. Guess it's time to check the Wikipedia page for Under the Dome to see what the big reveal is (that I'm sure will be strung along for several seasons on the TV show!) I have the book, too, but never read it. It's sitting on the shelf taking up space.
  8. I got you. Thanks for the reply. And sorry about my tone. Mod, I'll make sure it doesn't happen again. I like Defiance, also, Fauntleroy. I guess I'm the opposite of you. I'm an obsessive Rewinder! I watch most shows with the captioning on just so I don't miss anything. In fact, when Ansel (sp) was about to drink that lovely bloody juice from the steak, the CC said: (Whispers) Ansel...drink... If I hadn't had the subtitles on I don't think I would have caught it. At any rate, I'm excited by the show. Can't wait to watch tonight. Sure, it has some dumb stuff, like the family stuff you mentioned, but I figure that's their attempt to humanize the characters. Thanks, again, sorry for my "Hey, dude," attitude on my first post.
  9. Sounds like you're really getting nothing from the show. I wonder why you're watching. Even with shows that I hate-watch, I could never FF through them. Do you really do that? What are you FFing to? Blood? Gore? Sex scenes? More vampire stuff? There's more to shows than just action. But, to each their own!
