She didn't look 600 pounds to me. Other participants actually look like they weigh 600+, I guess she must have carried her weight differently.

From the commercials, it looks all 'goody goody'! In other words, unbelievable. Maybe I should actually watch an episode to see if there is any fodder to snark about.

Thank you for your replies! In fact, I never have seen Home & Family! :) I watch I Love Lucy on Hallmark and there are constant commercials for this show. It seems it would be ripe for snark! :)

Not to derail the current topic, but I love Barbara Stanwyck in Stella Dallas. Also, a note on Robert Mitchum, he's charming in Holiday Affair.

I love Double Indemnity (Stanwyck/MacMurray). I remember the first time seeing it at Stanford Movie Theater in Palo Alto, CA. It's an old timey theater and it was the perfect venue to see such movie. For some reason the movie captured me and to this day I am still enthralled. The snappy dialogue is playful and witty. To see Fred MacMurray in something other than a Disney flick was new to my eyes. Boy, he was sexy as all get out in Double Indemnity. And the way he smoked just added fuel to my fire. (hubba hubba).

Seems like Jim Bob has a good 'head' for a lot of things! :)

Just to tag onto the Judy Garland commentary, I loved her in "The Clock" with Robert Walker.
