    S28: Ponderosa

That was a wonderful little Ponderosa. Jefra has such a great attitude. Too bad that--aside from her--this is one bitter jury.

    S28: Ponderosa

Why are these people all so awkward when new people come to Ponderosa? Jeremiah comes in and not one--not ONE--person gets off their butt to greet him. Awful.
  3. All tattoos were pretty passable today, although I think Halo's should've won. It was pretty good, the whole thing about the shield was just nitpicky. It's really weird reading the contestants' Twitters--it seems like they all actually get along in real life.
  4. So much word. I find that in these latest episodes 9 out of 10 of my laughs/rewinds come from DWJ.
  5. Seriously, it's like Sausage hasn't seen this show before. Halo said it all: "We're not trying to screw you [meaning, I believe, sending you home], we're just trying to keep you from winning!" Help me, I actually found Scott funny tonight. And that was the lamest fight. Poor Dave looked so distraught, like "This is too hardcore even for me" during that whole fight lol. Pretty sure Chris would not have been able to take on Kyle, but Kyle really needed to get off this show ASAP, not because of the quality of his tattoos, but for his mental health. The gunpowder challenge was pretty neat.
  6. LOL! I didn't think about it that way, but you may be on to something. I found it very cute. It was the right final 3 but werewolves are always a lame challenge. Lots of fake Wolverines in there (bone protrusions from arms!!)
  7. So originally when I watched this episode, I thought that Fernando (who, minus the mushroom incident, was awesome) did 99% of the work while his partner just complained about it being cold all the time. It seemed like she was just sitting there watching him make fire, catch the fish, build the shelter, etc. But during Naked After Dark, she seemed a lot more knowledgeable and they even mentioned that she had actually caught more fish that they didn't show. Apparently they don't show a lot! If anything, I still contend that the host of Naked After Dark asks good questions even if he and the whole show can be very annoying. Also, I actually laughed at their little Leech Week video bit and how those leeches wouldn't stick on anyone. I also got more than a chuckle during their comparison of Samantha's "raft" with EJ and Laura's. And finally, we learned why they don't just make shoes!! P.S. I hope the Australian animal expert comes back next season. I can't believe it's already the season finale!
  8. Russ is becoming as exhausting as Tina was, seriously. John Criswell for host! He was awesome and has such an easy way about him in front of the camera. Actually, all of the masters who have been on this show would be better hosts than the current one. She's as awkward and stiff as Luke Tipple, he of Opposite Worlds infamy. I don't even get the association to this show (I haven't watched Farscape, but does that show use a lot of puppetry or something?) My favorite part of the episode was seeing a cast of Hoggle in the background.
  9. I really wish Tyler could've gotten those wings in order. The way those little hands were placed did not look right at all; I could only focus that the model's arms were in those folded up wings (which didn't even look folded or large at all).
  10. Niko is very original, I'll give him that. Between this vampire and the mutant he did awhile back, he certainly corners the "disturbing" market, which isn't necessarily bad, but he is just simply not up to the calibre of the other contestants. The range of motion on George and Rashaad's characters' faces was simply amazing. Good stuff. Poor Tyler, but I guess it was like that one episode where Anthony got placed on the bottom so it wouldn't like he was the clear winner of the season. I love how bromantic the final four are. Very cute.
  11. Kyle really should not have done two seasons back to back. You saw how only ONE season wrecked some contestants' psyche, and how two COMPLETELY wrecked Tatu Baby. Now he's going off the deep end, which is a shame. I feel a little bad because I was one of those people who voted for Kyle to come back last season (I still really liked the Roman Coliseum he did that the judges did not like at all). But what's weird is that I'm suddenly finding Chris Nunez's critiques...not bad. They're actually constructive versus him posturing, just saying that stuff looks like sh*t or some other witticism. So now Kyle is finding Chris's comments like "You could've put the shadow of a vine behind the glass to give it extra dimension" extra personal. Plus all the mind games that all the other contestants seem to love playing. This show makes me sad. I don't know why I still watch it. Oh yeah: Dave Navarro.
  12. I liked the short with Kyle, Vanessa, and Beck. Funny take on those kind of awkward relationship tropes. Congrats to Cecily for getting her own commercial--she did a pretty great job on it. Did Hans Zimmer conduct the orchestra in the second Pharrell song (which sounded horrible BTW)? Kate McKinnon once again an MVP. Unlike Kristen Wiig, I universally love all her characters. Finally, Anna Kendrick did a pretty good job. No complete duds of sketches this episode.
  13. I bought into the hype and tried watching the first episode but was kind of bored with the show. Then I went to Universal Studios Hollywood Horror Nights where they were promoting the heck out of season 3 and the trailers and ads and walkthroughs everywhere made me reconsider the show. The prison was better, but it slowly went back to being slow and annoying (I didn't like anyone left except Hershel and Daryl). Then someone in my household had the show on during the last part of this season and it was the episode "Still." I LOVED that it wasn't centered on Rick drama and it was quite refreshing, so I gave the whole season a rewatch and it was very, very good so I'll be back for Season 5. Scott Gimple sure knows what he's doing with this show.
  14. Ah thanks for clearing that up, you're right. I think I tuned out near the end of that episode so I missed it. I will admit that this episode was pretty rushed but upon reflection, I guess that's why there was so little focus on the mother this last season and rather on the concept of Ted and the gang learning how to grow up with each other as their lives were changing so drastically. How one day you could be the best of friends with someone and then suddenly they drop off the face of the earth, just the same as that stranger you meet could one day become your best friend. Exploring relationships like this is where I felt HIMYM was always strongest (and some of those concepts hit close to home) so I liked that it began with the gang meeting Robin, losing her, and then maybe reconnecting once again. It was rather hopeful. By the end of the episode, both Ted and Robin had gotten most of what they wanted out of life like the rest of the gang had; there really wasn't anything anymore holding them back from each other. Life is unpredictable and so was that finale, and ultimately I'm happier for it. (I just realized I'm posting this after 2 AM haha.)
  15. You probably heard me screaming in absolute joy. I couldn't believe it. They...they actually made me love this show again, right before it ended. Ted never got over Robin, no matter how many outs they gave him. And Robin never got over Ted, no matter how many ways they tried to morph Barney and Robin's characters to fit each other (as friends, they are fantastic, but as romantic partners I thought they lost too much of themselves). Even to their wedding day, who got Robin's locket back for her? Ted. Ted and Robin were always there for each other and this ending, with their random encounters as they aged, proved that. I loved it. Farewell, HIMYM. (OK they never solved a few mysteries and Barney never received his final slap, but that won't be what I remember in the end anyway.)
  16. This was the weirdest episode. The last whole hour was full of weird skits. It started off so strong, too... Some good performances, though. Especially in the Darth Vader doctor skit.
  17. I don't understand why they couldn't cook or eat any of the bugs, like the tarantulas or scorpions! So much waste. Also, Jeff's little twig-scarf thing was hi-larious. I have no idea what that was supposed to do.
