  1. It really is wonderful isn't it? Rejuvenating for us northerners.
  2. tbh, I don't know the variety that I like, lol.
  3. Sounds beautiful! I especially love coreopsis and lantana.
  4. Went to the Boscovs.com site and looked for you. If you search Preswick and Moore pintuck blouse, you will get a couple of versions of this, both in a subtle plaid print, but I also didn't find this solid version. Here's one of them - https://www.boscovs.com/shop/prod/womens-preswick-moore-plaid-pintuck-blouse/498167.htm?w=preswick and moore pintuck sleeveless p.s.: I spotted a QVC model on the Boscovs site. The tall, thin (duh) gal with short blonde hair.
  5. One of my favorite Saturday morning (on our PBS affil) shows! Bought a cookbook of theirs a few years back. I have managed to successfully grow some herbs... sweet basil, rosemary, thyme. They're pretty plants to scatter in pots around the patio. And the aroma is marvelous!
  6. Overcoming your fears / duckling style - Really sorry about the giant video. I copied it from FB, and it was 1/4 this size. I don't get it.
  7. Hmm...worth a try? I'm not a pie baker, but I am a pie lover~ http://www.landofrecipes.com/2017/05/11/crazy-crust-pie/
  8. There are all kinds of reason to grow our own food, and that's probably a subject for another thread and another day. I've never had the fire in my belly to do it, but I have been thinking about it more lately, in the interest of quality, concerns about inorganic invaders etc. So at the ripe young age of 56, last Spring I planted my first ever tomato plant. Several weeks later, I learned that I was a talented grower of aphid bait. It was disgusting, and I'm done, lol. The local grocery is in no danger of having me challenge their market share on tomatoes or any other vegetable. I admire and envy those of you with the skill and desire to do it.
  9. Wow! Oh my goodness, they're beautiful! Gorgeous photo~
  10. Amen sister, tell me about it. I mentioned somewhere that I had been taking a hair/skin/nails vitamin, primarily to help strengthen my fingernails and keep them from breaking, but it kicked the hormonal hairs into overdrive, so no more of that! lol It sucks.
  11. I just watched the American Family Insurance commercial again...the one where Jennifer Hudson comes up to sing with the "street performer'. I like Jennifer Hudson, but I think her booming vocals are not right in all circumstances. For me, I'd like to hear the unknown guy finish the song. I kinda think she ruins it.
  12. I too have always had thick, course hair and still do. After reading these posts about thinning etc., I think I shall keep my large trap shut about it!
  13. You just needed a pit bull to keep them in check. Apparently. lol
  14. I did see that! Just another reason why I love him!
  15. What the fresh hell?? Is she practicing having someone drool on her? I'd say she got caught unprepared, to put it lightly. http://www.tmz.com/2017/05/04/serena-williams-dollar-store-baby-bump/?adid=hero3
  16. Another awesome response to the Nordstrom $450 'dirty jeans'. http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/447211/dear-nordstrom-meet-my-husband-he-already-has-dirty-jeans
  17. Well I checked the Google definition just for fun. We don't fit the definition to a tee, but close. Our home does have a shared wall with a neighbor, but not every home in the development does - some are stand alone. Our maintenance is also not part of HOA fees, we handle our own just like in a conventional development. Our dues cover maintenance of common areas, entrance, ponds, etc.
  18. Yeah, I didn't notice that. Wonder how that happened? Probably something I did - this site still confuzzles me.
  19. Yikes! We are in a development of patio homes, zero lot line sort of thing, so it's possible that it could happen here too. So far, so good!
