Whit's really close to her parents. I think Babs' condition, recovery, and care has come first and foremost in the Thore family's life and the show's come in 2nd. Maybe production had to scramble to shift around all the "stories"? Drop some fantastic romance or challenge or whatever that they had planned. Or it's just another indicator her life is not fabulous and doesn't have much going on in it. Like the rest of us, or at least like mine...

Really lame episode. Why did we have to keep hearing over and over about how stressful Whit's life (and everyone else's) has been, about her sharing a room with Lenny, and whether Todd and Buddy would make the flight? And the dumb thing about the imaginary Frenchman & Whit turning their fake relationship into a don't ask/don't tell arrangement. Just to pave the way for a Whit & Lennie sexcapade. But I'm loving that Buddy and Todd appear to be distancing themselves from this steaming pile of 💩.

Well, that's right now...We all know that If Whitney wasn't so busy with Babs, there would be plenty of time for fake competitions, becoming an expert at something in just a couple sessions, and phone calls with a fake boyfriend. 😉😉

Heather's so fake date - not much shown in the episode, and so awkward - the hugs, the small talk, the exit... The whole thing was just dumb. Neither one supposedly drinks wine (or other alcohol), so let's meet at a wine bar and drink pineapple juice? And they didn't even try to give the appearance of making it look like a reasonable length date. Suddenly it was "Gotta go, and oh, I'll take this charcuterie with me." Wonder what the rest of the footage was like...I guess there wouldn't be much footage for a speed date...

Maybe this is the way she gets to end the (fake) relationship with Frenchy - on her terms and save face. They will disagree on something very important and Whit just won't accept it. Too late, nobody ever believed there was a real relationship to begin with.

I don't care for that orangey eye makeup I'm seeing in the talking heads for the women. Do they have any say in that, or is it the production people?

Yes , Hana, you stated this so much better than I can. All the stupid crap they make up to fill this show to make it seem like Whit has something going on in her real life - fake boyfriends, engagements, contests and challenges- I'd come to the conclusion that she really must not have much going on in her life, or anything that's "worthy" of filming for the show. And here's something that happens, very real and difficult, and they lunge for the opportunity to use it for dramatic purposes. It feels so inappropriate and disrespectful. Yes, Whit loves Babs, she is very close to her family, and the family is devastated and struggling with the situation. Very real. But this episode was just too much,, and feels in very poor taste.

The longer people live, the more they need to save. But I do hope that the reason Glenn continues working because he loves his job. Another topic: Looks like they wrapped filming yesterday, and Whit, Heather and Tal have all posted rah-rah/please watch messages on Instagram like good little employees. Didn't see anything like that from Buddy or Todd, so I guess they're involvement is limited or nil?

She's also got braces on in the photo/vid she posted for her 38th bday, ~April 15th. Also saw in Heather's insta that she's doing orthodontia too, but she's doing invisalign.

We don't know what kind of scripts or scenarios production has planned for the latest season, but IMO it must be so little, I'm guessing she's been told not to leak or tease any of it... it can't be because she's too busy with real life activities to post about it. And she's teased stuff in the past, but nothing really this time around. What's changed?

At least with the black and white photo we don't have to see whatever awful lipstick/gloss color she's been wearing, like that light peach color. 🤢

The show was a lot more interesting when Whit's family and friends dared to stage a funeral-themed intervention. Haven't seen anything close to that since.

Nope, I think so too. I know English may not be his first/ native language, but the accent, the cadence - something's so "off" about it, I do belive it's been dubbed.

Yup. This. On the positive side, no twerking this episode. And thanks to Mother Nature, no screaming, squealing, or caterwauling during the tubing trip. Was the Will thing was a setup for Whitney giving up on the personal trainer accreditation because of the studying /test? She's even more obnoxious than usual in this cleaning up Glenn & Bab's house plot line. Enough already With LeBlur. Tres dull. That truly awful bathing suit - and nothing else! No, you know what, I take that back. It wasn't the suit, it definitely didn't work for her - the color, the lack of a built-in bra & matching cover up. The past couple episodes have been rough viewing - at the risk if sounding prudish, just cover that sh*t up!!

Something I saw in the show in the past makes me think Todd's a runner, and (IMO) a lot of those serious runners have a gaunt look to them. Anyone else recall?

I think I recall her saying in one of her Instagram video streams a while back (talking about her hair situation or her lip botox), as a quick aside, that she wasn't happy with how the tattooing of her hairline had gone and was pissed about it. Sorry to be so vague about it, but I rarely watch those videos, can't stand more than a few minutes of her at a time.

Whit looks heavier than ever to me, but maybe I need to go back to the early seasons for a comparison/refresher, lol. She really does have a disproportionate body shape - carries most of her weight on her bottom half. At one point the camera panned up her backside from ground up - camera crew is not kind sometimes- to her or us viewers!!! As for Buddy - rude to be late, but she was just awful ripping into him in front of everyone at her "dinner party". Buddy, keep up the avoidance tactics!!! Whit's "life plan" is to keep you around at her beck and call for as long as she can.

"I feel like a walrus in the best way." Whitney says, in the pool with her (real) friends. Of course, in the pool, where else would you make such a silly statement? And of course the editors knew that blurb *had* to be part of the show. Wait...I get it now There's also feeling like a walrus in the *worst* way - hauling all that weight around on land (and even up a waterfall) without the benefit of the water to support some of that weight. Sorry, just thinking out loud.

The contrast of Todd and Whitney on the hike/climb as filmed by the crew was masterful. I'd love to sit in with the editing folks when the go through all the footage to create an episode.😁

My favorite part of the episode was Jessica & Whit's conversation re Buddy living with Whit, paraphrased: Jessica: He's such an enabler. Whit: Yes, isn't he wonderful? 😄😄😄
