  1. Me too. It feels like it's kind of meaningless. We don't see what pictures the social media is scoring necessarily, and it's so arbitrary. The judges' scores don't seem to be consistent either; one of them will pick apart something, and give an 8; and in the next breath, say approximately the same comments and give a 6. Tyra votes last, so seems to adjust her number so that the person she wants to have a low score will have a low score. I think it was kind of assery to pull out the top girl and the top guy, announce that they're going to Korea; and THEN announce that oh gee, (not) sorry to get your hopes up, there's only one ticket. That's ignorant. Why frickin' bother to do it that way if you aren't giving both a chance? (plus, we have NO clue what the social media vote voted on these eliminated contestants, or what they voted ON. The judges apparently have no say in it at all, but they should have)
  2. I'm loving this so far --- I think that Carver's dicki-ness is justifiable given that he probably came to small town Gracepoint to make it easier to help him slow the pressure and stress down, for whatever medical condition he has ; and he is thrust right into a nasty horrifying murder involving a child. Then he's saddled with a debutante who returns from vacation and is so inept and unprofessional. Enough to make anyone grumpy. Was I wrong in this -- when Mark's alibi is proved, she claims that she dropped him off at about 1. He got home at about 4. Why did they let him go, given the huge time discrepancy? Did I hear this wrong?
  3. I don't know why exactly, but I liked Charlie better when he was in a coma.
  4. Hey guys, this whole thread is full of spoilers, and it ain't supposed to be. I didn't see Broadchurch yet, am looking forward to seeing Gracepoint, and I don't want to hear the plot, whether it is or isn't the same. Sheesh.
  5. At one point in this show I found myself saying, 'I hate this stupid show'... but kept watching it and came around to feeling like I was at least being entertained. I think it may be that the best part of this show is THIS forum; there's just so much material on the show to work with! That said, I got confused (because I wasn't watching carefully) at the M*A*S*H-like scenario of what appeared to be a rooftop party patio. Crammed with off duty workers (who weren't even tired after working the night shift---or maybe they just live there), looked like a circus. Maybe it wasn't the rooftop party area, but all of a sudden someone had jumped off of the roof ABOVE them, onto the food truck that was (obviously wasn't) on the roof. I was way confused. At least on Grey's Anatomy, the first years hide on the actual roof, and it's deserted and empty like a roof should be.
  6. Yes!! When they were down to the last few, I thought for sure she'd be keeping him! He's hot AND he can probably cook too. And brave. And smart. Sheesh. When they showed the old couple at the racetrack I thought, how cute, they both are wearing bowties! Chris looked really cute in his. During their date, I kept smiling a lot, he's kind of infectious that way. Loved that recap!
  7. I'm flummoxed by the fact that all over the media about JLo's performance, there are kudos and acclaim. It is only we TwoP'rs and Prev TV snarkers that seem to have been skeeved out by it. Go figger.
  8. I guess that Caleb only learned how to be a good performer I don't care whether Harry CJ's tux jacket was out of season or not; it looked SO good on him! Best part of the whole night. I wish that the camera had shown him playing the piano and keyboard instead of constantly zeroing in on JLo. She looked like (and yes, I know she got sweaty and messy from her workout....er...performance) someone had broken up with her at prom, her eyemakeup was running, her hair looked like ass. They pay makeup people and hair people, why didn't someone fix that.
  9. It started bugging me this episode how, when a chef screws up, EVERYBODY has to drop what they are doing and come and look at it. Given that they are constantly screwing dishes up, those who are doing their job correctly are constantly interrupted and thrown off track. If I had to work in that already busy atmosphere and try to concentrate on what I was doing, having to stop every 5 minutes would make ME screw up.
