    Finally watching the episode.  My gawd, Mellie is an ungrateful bitch.  Everyone else does the work, and she bitches constantly. 

    And the Washington trip....I was cringing.  I know none of these women finished high school, but my 12 year old knows who Lincoln is and the currency he's on.  My lord....

    I'm on some of the Gypsy gossip sites on FB.  According to the source, Mellie and Skott were in a DV type fight, and Skott hurled the puppy at the wall, killing it.  Mellie did not call the cops, Skott's cousin did.  And Mellie has so far given four different stories of the incident.  The source also alluded to BOTH Mellie and Skott having addictions (again, from a gossip site, take that however way you want). 

    She needs to dump his ass. NOW.

    Sweet Dee, it WAS nice to see Mellie smiling and doing good work, but I see next week we're back to the old Mellie.  "I'm not going up on that thing."  Why is her immediate response always "I'm not going;" "I'm not doing that," "You can't make me."  Oh yeah, because she's a six-year-old.

    Yeah, it's pretty damn obvious that Mellie is the 'baby' of the family.  And it drives me nuts that they talk down to her, but then expect her to act like an adult

    Watching the episode right now.  OMG....can I smack Joann?!  Ugh, what a bunch of spoiled Gypsy brats!  Pampered princesses that brag about their cleaning prowess....did they not hear the stories of their grandmothers, and how Gypsies used to live?  These women come from Romanchal lines, meaning Irish/English Travellers.  They made a good chunk of their livings through horse trading.  And a good Gypsy woman helped her man when needed. 

    And I call BS on Nettie being sick.  She didn't want to work.

    Finally watched the episode.  Holy shit...Nettie pisses me off.  Everything has to be about her?!  She's pissed because Mellie doesn't want to be living with her.  You would think that with as much drama that Mellie produces she would love to have her out but no....she wants to control everyone.

    I don't know what Nettie has against Kayla, but for a long time she just has been starting fights and drama with her. It's like Kayla can step back and live a happy life and Nettie will try and find some way to ruin it :/

    I personally believe Nettie is jealous of Kayla because it seems Kayla has her life more together.  Nettie has 9 kids by three different guys.  All of Kayla's kids have the same daddy, and she was married to Richard for 17 years.  Nettie was happy to have the fact Huey trusts her, while Kayla was held back by Richard.  Then...Kayla broke free.  Handed Nettie HER wedding.  Kayla goes out and parties, sure. But she has a good man that has been behind her for a while now, she's not slutting it up (like Mellie).  Nettie can't stand to see Kayla having fun and be independent with a Gorger.  Kayla has good ideas for things, and while the execution is a little off, she's a decent person.  Nettie wants the title of Gypsy matriarch, and can't stand seeing someone else do it better than she thinks she can.

    I know Nettie has 9 kids, but they don't all have the same father, right? Sorry, I'm still catching up! (Halfway through season 2, binge watching for the win!)

    If I recall correctly, three kids by each man.  And she only has 8 living children, I guess one child died as a baby.  And it wasn't natural.  It's on one of these threads where they posted the family tree, and if you read the comments, it mentions that the child died "tragically".

    (Posted the last part to not just gossip maliciously, but I did have a source.  May or may not be 100%)

      She's the instigator.  According to insiders she has kids from different fathers too including a teenage boy at the time & she was married.  

     

    I thought Nettie had 9 kids by three different men.  And I hate the I'm-a-good-mom-I-have-nine-kids thing.  Just becuase your uterus functions well doesn't mean you're good at it.  See: Duggar forum

    The groups I belong to on Facebook is Gypsy Scandal and the TLC page Gypsy Sisters.  The girls are constantly on Scandal, but the language, spelling and grammar......yeah, this dropping out of school to get married thing is apparent.

    Okey doke, I know I'm the one who questioned why they picked Megyn Kelly, but I think I've come up with an answer.  Jim Bob and Michelle want to look sympathetic.  Now, in their screwed up mindset, women are sympathetic creatures who don't want to see anyone hurt, who hate to see anyone cry.  Man, I am lighting candles and gyrating in the prayer closet praying that this is the Ultimate Duggar Smackdown interview. 

    Networks are also about the dollars.  Sooo many companies have pulled and threatened to pull advertising time from TLC if the show continues.  I know a lot of people see Fox as evil, but you really think if they portray the Duggars in a sympathetic light, they are willing to see sponsors go bye bye?  Correct me if I'm wrong, but is there even one company stating stalwart support of the Duggars? (Huckabee doesn't count)  Money talks, and sponsors can walk. 

     

    And whoever mentioned Nancy Grace above?  I can't stand the woman, but I'm pretty sure ALL of us would pitch in money for that interview if they put it on Pay Per View!

    Honestly though, why would the Duggars pick Megyn Kelly? She's an intelligent woman, and Jim Bob has a problem with smart women. 

     

    I'll lay Vegas odds, it'll start softball, but once he opens his mouth and starts condescending to Ms. Kelly, things will go downhill fast.  We know how he talks to women and the girls, and chances are, it'll get weird

    Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

    Oy...I take some time off work (the only pplace I post) and shit hits the fan.  So many thoughts.

     

    I have worked with sex offenders.  I read and written presentence reports for offenders.  I have read things that make my stomach turn.  Josh's police made me sick.  He hurt his siblings, he violated them.  And it pisses me off that the girls spoke to the police, but Jim Bob lawyered up for Joshie.  This wasn't handled right.

     

    But what is making me furious is the Duggar supporters.  Making excuses for his age, and that he repented.  Sorry, we didn't make up the nickname Smuggar for a truly repentant boy.  14 is old enough to know not to diddle your sisters.  He didn't "confess", he was caught.  And the idiot parents WAITED to turn him in, waited til the statute of limitations dates got fuzzy. 

      I'm not Christian, but even my Pentecostal husband agrees: He may say he's forgiven, but unless he has a personal line to God, there is no proof of it.  And what's happening right now just may be God's way of punishing him. 

       the supporters want to say that we need to stop talking about it.  You know, for the girl's sake and privacy. No.  Unequivocally, NO!  The girls have nothing to be ashamed of.  They did nothing wrong.  And by sweeping it under the carpet, it says that Josh, Jib Bob/Michelle, and Anna can make statements, but the girls deserve nothing.  Silence continues the abuse.  It continues the shame, and reminds the girls that a heinous sin can be committed, and no consequences can be faced as long as he gives a half assed sorry.  There might be a girl out there that might reveal what has happened to her because we are forcing the conversation to continue.

    Also, as a matter of pure speculation of how the police report was leaked...anybody consider someone in the Gothard organization?  After the Bill Gothard thing went down, the Duggars distanced themselves.  I'm sure that didn't go over well.  The Duggars fell on their own hubris, but they had help.  Maybe TFDW had access, and turned in his man crush.  Maybe the Bates thought it was time.  Hell, maybe Gothard himself.  Or maybe the Seewalds or Dillards, maybe someone got fed up of the hypocrisy.  Pure speculation.

    Anyway, had to get this off my chest.  The whole thing sickens me.  We thought "sin in the camp" was the broken engagement.  I take no joy in seeing them fall this way.

    I'm pretty sure none of us do.
