I loved everything about this episode but i just don't like Ava.  Guess i am in the minority but her snobby entitled attitude just rubs me the wrong way.

You are not the only one. I hate the Ava character too.

  2. I just found this thread and I’m so happy to list my unpopular opinions:

    • I hated Kate. She was smug and thought she was smarter than everyone. I also didn’t like the way she treated Tony.
    • Tony was/is my favorite character.
    • I loved Zika until the whole “will they/won’t they” thing with Tony.
    • I wish they had kept MI6 Reeves and I don’t like Torres.
    • I love Kasie and Jimmy.
    • The show should have ended when Gibbs decided to stay in Alaska.

Meredith throwing up...just nerves or a Thanksgiving snowbound baby?

Just what she needs, another baby for Amelia and Maggie to take care of.

Another baby for Meredith to ignore. 🙄🙄🙄

Molly, tell your boss that your mother is in the hospital and take time off to deal with it. She was killing me during that conversation.

I was spearmint at the TV at that point. “Your Mom is in the hospital. Bump work!”

    Rather boring reunion episode.
Was Eddie joking about looking like Idris? He looked serious but then he’s married to the woman yelling “he tossed your salad” repeatedly.

Eddie is very attractive but he DOES NOT look like Idris Elba.

I don't hate Lawrence or Condola.

    I hate Condominium!

She absolutely “blew up” Lawrence’s life when SHE decided to have the baby and didn’t consult with him. She basically decided that she was having this baby with or without his help and told him he could be “as involved as he wanted”. And then she’s mad at him for living his best life while she’s a single parent. Well, you get what you ask for honey!

  7. Cried like a baby throughout this episode. Also, I hate Scott Foley’s character. He is truly awful. He is going to use Paula’s fate and the Reggie-Gabby relationship for ratings. Ugh!

I am so so sick of the "Milk Maid" !! I have nothing against breast feeding but is it really necessary to pump in public ?

Exactly! I am pro-Brest feeding and breast fed my daughter but it just appears like Ashley is attention-seeking now. They showed her pumping on that morning on the phone with Michael and then again on the boat. And in the preview she’s breast feeding during her therapy session.

If Andy Cohen takes suggestions, I'd like him to give Mia a few live, on air questions about various business terms that a "boss bitch" such as herself should know.  And I don't just want a dryly recited definition, I want her to explain how she uses it in her daily live as a "boss business bitch"  Because I doubt that Gordon even let her "take over" his businesses.  I think there is probably a manager who does most of the work and Gordon let her play "business barbie" for a day or two for the cameras.

“Business Barbie” — I love this. That is exactly what  Mia is doing.

Candiace said something on this episode that I think is important and is the key to why she acts the way she does.

When she was talking to Chris (after the salad tossing incident), he was telling her she needs to be the bigger person, she doesn't need to respond to everything, she needs to stop taking the bait.

All of this is true. She needs to stop taking the bait.  She does need to stop responding to everything people say.  She does need to be the bigger person.

Mia is a fan of the show and she knew who to target to have a moment.   Ashley knows what buttons to push.  Both Ashley and Mia lob bombs, then when somebody checks them "snif snif my mom's a crackhead and that's why I was in foster care snift" or "snif snif I'm a new mom".  Then everyone wants to cuddle and coddle Mia and Ashley and instead of focusing on their bullshit, then the spotlight gets put on how vile Candiace is, what a chihuahua, how spoiled, how immature, how nasty Candiace is.

    • Monique started the bullshit with Candiace last season.
    • Mia started the bullshit with Candiace this season.
    • Ashley started the bullshit with Candiace tonight.
    • Nobody is calling Mia out on her bullshit with putting her hands in people's faces or tossing that bowl of salad at Candiace.
    • Nobody will call out Ashley on her bullshit with crying about old tweets from several years ago

But nobody wants to talk about that, it's all about how Candiace needs to get her ass beat.

What Candiace said, which I think is key to understanding her is, "Why does everyone get to talk shit to me, but I can't respond?"

I think Candiace has a history, going back to childhood, where (starting with Dorothy), people have talked shit to her face and the only way she could fight back is with her mouth.  I think growing up, other kids would say slick stuff about/to Candiace, she would tell her mom and her mom was probably like "Well you deserved it."  Nobody defends Candiace and I think that's the root of her problem with Karen last season...Karen saw Monique lay hands on Candiace and later insisted it was a mutual fight.  Karen would not defend Candiace even when the other person was clearly in the wrong and I'm willing to bet that situation played out between Dorothy and Candiace numerous times during Candiace's life.

I see Wendy was quick to run over to defend Mia and Chris didn't even defend Candiace against Ashley's bullshit.  Candiace truly has no one in her corner (not even her own mother).  The only tools she has to defend herself is with her mouth (and note again: Candiace doesn't come for you first, you came for her and she finished it.  Don't want Candiace coming for you? Don't come for her).

Nothing Candiace did or said justified Monique acting like a wild thug running around a barn threatening to kill someone because they twirled around and said "I'm sleep I'm bored."  Monique is right where she needs to be.

Here's the thing: Candiace DID learn from what happened last year.  She learned it doesn't matter if she disengages or walks away, people want her ass beat anyway.  So she might as well say whatever out of her mouth because it really doesn't matter.

If Candiace had known from the beginning about Mia's mom she never would've said any "yo momma*" because she could've went in plenty of times on Ashley's mom and she never has.  I personally would have.

Because Wendy is just as fake as she accused Karen of being last season.  I hope Candiace is watching these episodes and seeing how Wendy is kissing up to Karen, the lady who pulled a Karen and tried to get Candiace fired last season and now scrambling up to Mia, who started the whole situation with Candiace in the first place when Wendy is the one who told Candiace about Mia gossiping in the first place.

Either Wendy used Candiace to throw a rock at Mia so she could have clean hands or Wendy is setting Candiace up to be gone.  I'm not sure which one it is yet. Otherwise, Wendy wouldn't have singled Mia out for gossiping with Wendy.  If Wendy was going to tell the story, Wendy should've told Candiace the whole story and told her Mia, Karen, Robyn and Gizelle were gossiping with Dorothy too.

*I'm going to need for black people in particular to stop clutching their pearls over "yo momma" when "yo momma" jokes have been a staple of comedy since elementary school.  It's a childish insult that shouldn't be taken seriously but again Mia weaponizes her foster care upbringing and mother's drug woes to shield herself from being held accountable for her bullshit.

I applaud this entire post. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Ashley knew what she was going bringing up that argument with Mia earlier after they’d all seemingly moved on. It’s why I can never root for her because she always throws the rocks and hides her hands after being called out. She’s messy messy and her husband is a gross creep who should have been fired seasons ago.

THIS! Ashley is forever jumping into things that have nothing to do with her. She hates Candiace and will take any opportunity to trash her.

Mia gets not sympathy from me. Her constant b aging about how much money she (her husband) has is annoying. She says she worked hard for it and that’s why she talks about it so much. No ma’am! You didn’t “work” for anything unless bagging a rich old dude is considered “work”.  AND her husband is disgusting with all his sexual gestures. Just gross🤢

Candiace makes it really hard to support her. Her behavior in that restaurant was childish. Chris was embarrassed and he is bound to get tired of her shenanigans.

How much did RA make from just that one job that they could go from all those problems Darla mentioned (the failed crop, the payday loans) to a stay at a pretty fancy-sounding AirBnB, even for a few days?

Darla should have had a lot more questions about that.

Exactly. RA is always trying to prove how much of a man he is. Going on a “baby moon” is not necessary and is not a good use of the ill-gotten funds. Pay some of your loans and bills man!

  13. I don’t like Mia or her husband with their “I’m too good to carry my own luggage” bull. Ugh! Mia is classist and seems to look down on everyone who she deems to not be in her level.  That heifer was a stripper who bagged a rich old dude and got to be a “boss” of some back-cracking chains. MIA, YOU ARE NOT A BOSS!!!

  14. Some thoughts:

    • Why oh why have an event at your house when it is under construction??? (Giselle)
    • And you are injured and in a boot? (Giselle)
    • Why come to said event when you don’t like the host? (Wendy)
    • Unless it’s to show off your new products and get free advertising? (Karen)
    • Mia is messy and who is she to need to be greeted at a video shot or need a valet at someone’s house?
    • Why didn’t anyone tell Ashley that her bra was showing?
    • What the hell was Candiace wearing and how did it stay up?
    • “Vassinated” Karen is hilarious!
    • Ashley is really trying to hold onto her job by inserting herself into situations when she wasn’t even present (this is the 3rd or 4th instance).
    • Is another trip necessary?

Wendy owes Monique an apology,  she is now threatening to do same crap she accused Monique of. I declare Gizzard brings out the worst in people.

NOT! Monique actually assaulted someone. Wendy just made threats. Big difference.

  16. Just a few thoughts—

    • Why was Crocodile Dundee allowing that baby’s gear to flop all over the place while showing him to Dean??? Support the head!!!
    • Candiass knows good and well she didn’t “forget” to invite Ashley on the trip 🙄
    • Wendy did not even try to come up with a business plan 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️
    • AND she is doing waaaay too much with those revealing clothes. Something is definitely amiss in the Osefo household.
    • That was not Mia’s first time on the pole 🤨🤨🤨
    • Karen, it doesn’t sound like Giselle wished death on your husband. She needs to get a life and some business to tend to.

In the situation identify with Charles more. If she had said to Charles I’m not ready to get married right now but we will get there eventually.  They would still be together but she’s like I don’t know I believe in marriage anymore and it may not be something I want.  Then she tells Josh that she basically agrees with him about not having to define everything.  I think what she’s missing is the Josh is in his 20s and not having to define everything in your 20s is a lot different than Charles’ age.  I think that Liza has spent so much time pretending to be in her 20s she actually feels like she’s in her 20s.  The truth is your decision making at your 20s in your decision making in your 40s changes.  The show is always challenged that change and I respect that.  But there’s a practical reason for it, we don’t live forever. So it’s easy for me to see how somebody with a divorce just wants to move forward in a happy marriage.

    This. This. THIS.
I hate this version of Liza. Why did they back track her growth?  I don’t know if I even want to watch the remainder of this season. Liza is acting like a flighty 20-something. Ugh!!!

  18. My favorite scene was Miller coming into the office after hearing that father talk about needing his kids to see someone Black in a uniform. His tears and signs were wordless signals of his pain and the pain we feel as Black people in America. No words were needed in that moment. Great scene.
