Sofia Pernas (Justin Hartley's wife in real life, hence the hand placement) as Billie

Thanks:). It looks like a publicity photo and not part of the episode and so I was sort of taken aback by it.

The actress playing Charlie had a much better role on her previous show. I can't remember what it was called but it was much better. It drives me crazy that I can't remember the name of it. Everyone should watch it because it was actually making an attempt to be reasonable and respectful and not just making a mockery of things. But of course if I can't remember the name, that's not really helpful advice.

Was it "Everything's Gonna Be Okay"?  Just checked her (Kayla Cromer) IMDb entry and this was the only credit for a main role.

  3. Thomas does not need to accept it. Just show the offer to his "friends" is incentive enough to get more "gifts" from them to stay. Almost like a bidding war. I am sure Oliver is aware of this and may even mention it after the 30 days are over.

They conducted the investigation by the book until Daniel decided to play dirty towards the end.

Daniel changed his mind after Errol's dad told him about him stabbing him in stomach in a fit of rage (while being high). Until this point Daniel kept insisting that there was no proof of Errol being violent towards anyone but seeing the scar convinced him that Daniel was indeed guilty and in his mind justified playing dirty to get the confession. All along the way they showed very clearly that unlike his two subordinates he is not racist and actually a really good cop.

I thought it was a little weird that they didn't put a picture of both girls on the wall.

Because they did not find Aisha Carter, she escaped on her own and found them.

Axe is only threatening to release the personally humiliating information.  He's actually not doing it.  So how are they stopping Prince's campaign?

This was only to free Wendy from the threat, so Axe can be free to start working on how to stop prince. The whole episode he delayed coming to the US to join them because Prince basically blackmailed him with Wendy.

Jenny - it's BIO-pic, as in Biographical Picture, not bi-OP-ic. Please can we replace her?

Please don't. I love her sense of humor and ability to laugh at herself. When she was chomping on the huge s'mores and Robin said: " don't think those are real Jenny", her instant reply "It goes with every other part of my body" was amazing.

  8. I did watch the ten episodes and was glad they managed to close some of the more annoying arcs but then they crammed FOUR!! soap opera type cliff hangers in the last ten minutes before the winter break.

Speaking of references I'm pretty sure I heard someone make one and someone else say the target audience wouldn't get it!

    Spoiler

The Judge and Chuck at the bar, when a young female admirer smiles at Chuck and the judge says: "You're a Matinee idol now". it was the response about the target audience not knowing what that meant that made it so funny.

I was thinking the same thing. Which is odd because June was ok with Oggi being at the farm and the little boy - Joshie.

She is not against men in general, just that the farm should always be owned by the females in the family. The trauma of her son leaving was caused by his not accepting this fact and she is afraid this may repeat itself when Alice and her brother grow up, so she wants to kill it in the bud. I expect the drama in the rest of the series will arise when a grown up Alice finds out her brother did not die and their separation was caused by June.

  11. "Adam" predates Marlin because Marlin was not the first abuser. As Rya told Candy in the bar, she suspects Martin was not her first abuser (and Candy does not deny it). Adam was the first split that as Danny said "always had his back". I suspect Danny has a predisposition for this kind of protection mechanism which started at an earlier age, so when Marlin came along, it was natural for "Adam" to take the abuse leaving Danny outside the barn. It was the continuation of the abuse and effectiveness of the "solution" that resulted in more and more splits, each to solve a particular difficulty.

I have read the book and seen the documentary series about Billy Milligan and they have done both brain scans that showed the different parts activated by the different personalities and also an amazing difference in IQ tests between genius  level to borderline "r*******" (as it was called at the time. This series chose to concentrate on psychological/emotional differences to connect with the audience but in the real case it was clear he had some actual brain abnormalities that triggered the fractures as a response mechanism at a very early age.

  12. What I found very inconsistent is that while, after consultation, they allowed one passenger to go to the bathroom and the crew to delivery water bottles all over the plane but  the young hijacker refused to give the old man his medicine. He could have taken down the medicine bag himself and checked the content, or at least consult with the others. It was this that started the crazy chain of events.

When Sonya got into the fridge and ordered everyone out, after the door was shut, she put a long metal rod across the door, presumably to stop anyone from getting back in.  What is wrong with that picture?

I found it so funny I could not stop laughing. The door they went thru opened out, not in ! All she did was make whoever wanted to get in bend a little coming in.  Her air of decisive efficient action only made this more hilarious.

That's why I mentioned that it made no sense to melt the latches off from the outside. It's a freezer, you lock it closed from the outside. You wouldn't make it so you can lock it from the inside since no one working at a butcher shop would ever need to lock themselves inside. And then when the door fell off, the rod actually locking it shut was gone.

After reading a Reddit post on this, realized we are actually both wrong. She put the rod on hooks connected to the door itself and extending beyond the door frame. This will stop the door from being opened from the outside. Only by melting the latches from the outside the door can be pushed inside with the hooks (& rod) falling on he floor. It would have made more sense to show them unable to open the door before working on the hinges, but still.

Apparently, at least, Jack is real, since Rya was talking to him at the end without Danny present.

    Spoiler

The idea is that we are shown the different personalities as different people but Rya can recognize which one she is talking to via his accent, behavior etc. and so addresses each one by his "name". All the movies/series that I have seen about DID showed the same actor simply sounding and behaving differently. This series made the interesting choice to actually portray them via different actors which is how the main characters experiences them. The fact that the main personality (Danny?) is even aware of the others is also unusual unless he is at an advanced stage of treatment.

I would have found this a lot more impressive if Midge's triumphant routine had actually made me laugh. It didn't.

I thought it was pretty good. It didn't make me laugh a bunch, but I think that is because we knew most of it already. Those were some of her greatest hits, she put together for a wide audience to hear for the first time.

Also this is on TV. not a comedy club, so she couldn't be as edgy as she is at her best. For a TV audience who have never seen her before it was great.

Yikes!  So much for the family supporting Viktor!  I mean, I guess Stephen was the only one who blamed him for Daniel's death, but...wowza.  Also, Stephen is the absolute worst and the show does not hold back in showing us that!

What bothered me was that they never confronted the root cause of the tragedy of Viktor and Daniel. The reason Viktor was so suddenly deported was because they caught him working illegally, but this was Ralph's doing. He found out where Viktor was working, went there and we see him taking a picture of Viktor with the sign  of the place he worked. It was implied that he used it to report him to the authorities. And yet he was invited by the family to Daniel's remembrance party and they never found out. Every other person's secret was revealed during the series apart from Ralph's.
