I’m disappointed for Dylan Walsh, and definitely intrigued as to what direction the story will go in to cut Sam Lane out completely. He’s more integral to the show than Chrissy or Kyle, so they will likely go to recurring status at least. I would be happy for the Irons to go recurring or go completely, given their lack of real impact this season (so far).

Argh, a two week break, just when things are ramping up! Glad there’s apparently hope for Matteo, given his end montage reaction to his father. Bruno really is a wonderfully-layered villain, switching from goofy dad to cold-blooded mob boss, then back to worried husband inside a couple of minutes. I still hate Pia’s weird Canary face, despite her suffering. So good to see Lois getting her hunger for the job back. Sam was on fatherly fire tonight, between encouraging his own daughter and advising Lana. So, potentially three substantial villains for Superman to face - Bruno, Bizarro AND Luthor - delicious! I hope the twins get back to being proper Fraternals soon - I don’t like it when they’re snarking at each other, although it will do Jordan good to have pause for thought over his actions.

For a superhero show, it’s doing a fabulous job of showing the struggle that can so often be involved in the push and pull of being human - extraordinary vs. “ordinary” within the Kent family, finding the balance in romantic relationships, from Chrissy and (the albeit unseen this episode) Kyle to Nat and Mateo, and particularly the moral ambiguity of a “bad” man acting with good motives, vs a good man struggling not to use what he may have in his arsenal to save the woman he loves, lest it tip the balance against the greater good. In Clark’s face I see that he is perhaps edging towards Bruno’s argument - it will be interesting to see what happens next. MVP this episode was definitely Michael Bishop - his sense of helplessness and fear at his mother’s fragile humanity made me feel for him for no doubt drawing on painful personal experience. I did love Lois’s nod to the boys looking alike because of their eyebrows 😂 What I didn’t like was the face Peia pulled when she went full Canary - I suppose I’m too used to Katie Cassidy’s version. And triple yes to the “screw cancer”!

I seem to recall reading, before the season started, something along the lines of Chrissy having difficulty keeping Clark’s secret from her new boyfriend, so what’s the betting Kyle will be in on the secret before too long? It would make sense, all the main characters being in the know.

I called it a few weeks ago that Bruno was being motivated by not being able to save someone he cared about, I just thought it was someone in the past, not his wife - nicely done show! Anyone else thinking they’ll pair off Johnathan and Sarah romantically? Either way, I’m liking the potential for Jon to become a heroic human, through the fire service. And, at the risk of being shallow, this week has convinced me that Tyler Hoechlin must give great hugs😍

sorry, wrong episode! I’m sorry, I’m shallow. I just keep watching that confrontation between Clark and Emmit - absolutely LOVED it, from the pop of the “nope” to the quietly menacing promise of “I will come for you.” If anyone gave enough of a crap about me to utter that in my defence, I’d die a happy gal. And, back to shallow, ridiculously h-o-t - kudos Mr Hoechlin 🔥

I need Kyle to find out the secret too, for no other reason but to give him more reason to be in the show. And is anyone else wondering if the “person who will tolerate the treatment more than Atom Man” (I’m kinda paraphrasing) will be someone we know, or have seen before?

Just finished watching - what a gut-wrenching ending! Gotta admit, it took me back to my mum’s cancer diagnosis, as I’m sure it did with others. It was a tour de force from both Bitsie and Tyler, and I had to feel sympathy with Michael Bishop, as his own mum went through breast cancer. On a lighter note, I have to admit I’m in love with Chad Coleman’s voice 😍. Did anyone else get the impression that someone Bruno cared about was one of the lives Superman couldn’t/didn’t save? I would tend to agree that Onomatopoeia is Dr Irons, but the real intrigue is she controlling Mannheim, or vice versa, and why? I also reckon Lois is going to be experimented on, willing or otherwise. This season has so much more potential than last, I’m just sorry I can’t binge it all at once.

I’m really liking some of the suggestions for the recast, particularly Asher Angel from Shazam. Interesting to see who it’ll be, and how quickly they make the announcement.

Sounds like there may have been more than a few warning signs of this - just speculating, but maybe that’s why Jon’s role was kinda minimised in Season 2, barring his Bizarro self - just my own opinion.

Honestly gob-smacked at this - I hope he gets any help and healing he needs - he’ll be a tough act to follow.

So, what would you like to see this season? My wish list: A better/tougher/however you want to phrase it villain/s than Ally Alston - one/s with substance, who offer real threat and danger. More of the Fraternals, with appropriate Nat team ups that give the young ‘uns real purpose. LOTS more, less angsty, Clark and Lois moments - Tyler and Bitsie have such great chemistry. If we’re keeping Kyle about, give the man something more to do! A flashback to Sarah (presumably) finding out from her mother that Clark is Superman - I think we got a little robbed of that moment. Tal Rho to find his Bizarro wife is Lana and make his way back to woo the real thing - in as fun a way as possible. For Superboy to make a memorable debut, and for Jon to do more than “hold the wrench”. For Jordan and Sarah to have a realistic, and as un-mopey as possible, relationship. Bonus last one, can we start a campaign to get Jordan’s Frodo locks gone? I’d to read all your suggestions!

Plus, I’m assuming it might be more lucrative for them now that their “J &J” ‘brand’ is a joint key marketing tool, rather than purely Supernatural. I’m curious as to who else they plan to bring along - I’m assuming Keegan Allen for one, given his previous attendance at New Orleans. I’m also wondering who they’d be inclined to drop from their SPN regulars (I’d say bye bye to Adam Fergus and David Haydn-Jones, and Richard Speight, only cos I found him overly abrupt - personal opinion of course, but it’d be interesting to hear the views of regular CON-goers.)

I’m going to speculate that both Tal and Bizarro will be back in the Finale - aside from that, I’ve got nothing. I’m not feeling a Kyle death, but hey, it’s fun to guess!

I can only speak to the con I attended in Toronto in October 2019, but there didn’t appear to be screening of questions. If you wanted to ask questions at the J2 general audience panel or Misha’s, you went to the Creation desk, they punched your pass IIRC (heaven knows why) and noted your name and seat number, which was then subject to apparent random selection.

While it was always inevitable that “scheduling conflicts” would happen after the show ended, I am curious as to what Jared is doing that he couldn’t have worked round it to give attendees a few hours. Particularly given what Creation charges, there’ll be a lot of disappointed people in SFO. I think it’s the third con he’s missed in the recent past. Thank goodness for Jensen!

IIRC, Lana tells a story in the pilot of Pete being at the wheel when they had that accident coming back from the Pearl Jam concert.

I haven’t been able to watch the last few episodes (VPN issues). Would someone be kind enough to give me the context of how Geri is now a Davidson? Unfortunately, the show sounds like it’s getting a bit too soapy for me.

Given the tattered cape, I’m going for Bizarro and (somehow he got through/it’s a flashback?) his world’s version of Superboy.

Just a thought, but what if Anderson uses Bizarro’s medallion to give himself powers? And don’t start me on how little the show has tackled the implications of Crisis, such as what exactly the timeline has been, i.e. did baby Jonathan instantly become pre-teen twins, or has it now been years since Crisis, and will it ever be addressed how Jordan wouldn’t otherwise have existed?
