  1. I think it's possible Sam might show up, I also think it's possible Castiel might show. I don't think it's crazy to think Castiel may have a part to play. Not the way the shippers think but Castiel was Dean's best friend, so no matter how you take his feelings, he did love him and he could feel guilt that Castiel died for him and it happened so quickly he didn't have time to react or let him know how much he meant to him. Even saying Cas knew that, doesn't mean Dean, Mr Feels Guilty about Everyone he can't save, wouldn't feel very heavy regrets about what happened to his best friend.
  2. But it's not hard to believe that someone interested in cars might also be interested in electrical and wiring stuff in general. Dean was also good at security systems and building a Walkman EM meter and EMP bomb to wipe a computer as well as fixing cars. So...Dean gets it from his Grandma.
  3. I didn't have time to finish my thought yesterday as I had stuff to do but that would probably be the only difficult part of it - if Dean stuck around and lived until 2005, he'd have to let all that awful stuff happen. I don't think that would be wrong because if it happened, it happened and trying to change things I'm sure we'll see would make things worse, but given how people reacted to the Captain America thing in Avengers Endgame, I'm sure they'd be like "Why did he let all that terrible stuff happen to his family wah wah wah!" Or "why did he let Sam suffer thinking he was dead when he was alive in the past! He should have left a message that Sam would get after his death so Sam knew it wasn't the end" That said, it doesn't mean Sam wouldn't have been sad living all those years without Dean, he could still cry because he missed his brother, even if he knew he actually did get to live a life in the past. But as I said I think it's a great idea and I wouldn't mind if something like this happened. I do think it'll be good whatever they end up doing, they genuinely care about the SPN universe and the characters but I like this, it makes Dean significant without making anyone else insignificant and gives him own story. Either that or Dean has to choose to die again, in the past, to save the future, at least this time he'd be dying for something significant and not just an oopsie.
  4. IMO it's not an AU, they've already said it's not an AU. That said I certainly like the idea better than some spec I've heard. I have a feeling it won't be this good(because even with Jensen at the helm I imagine they can't give Dean that much credit) but that would kind of fix everything. Though then again he'd still have to let himself and his family be miserable(he won't be able to stop Mary from dying or his childhood from being awful or John from turning into an abusive bastard - it's the Captain America thing again)
  5. They aren't mental gymnastics I don't think. IMO most of the mental gymnastics are coming from people who think it contradicts canon in some way. Those were assumptions people made, explanations their own brains came up with, not facts within the show. The fact that those assumptions were wrong is not on the show, either SPN or TW. Headcanon isn't official canon.
  6. The two kids in episode 4 were memorable and came up with the Monster Club name, with Bori Baba as the villain, Ada trapping a demon in a plan was pretty memorable too(same episode). The god of war Mars Neto was pretty interesting. Loki is always interesting. And Mac the vengeful spirit was good. Honestly I've liked all the creatures, I mean SPN chose the ones it did for a reason, they were the most well known and interesting, I think The Winchesters has done a pretty good job bringing in some new ones, that enable interesting character revelations, while also having the main one pop up from time to time the Akrida and a few familiars(Loki and Vampires) Kyle and Betty have only had a few short scenes and they've been purposely bland and normal in them because in Kyle's case, he's supposed to be very normal, boy next door, nothing that would raise Mary's hackles and Betty is just a nice girl who doesn't know she's been thrown into a really really bad situation yet(she thinks she knows but she doesn't). The final scene in this episode left me intrigued and even worried for Betty even though she's kind of a busy body(he's your ex, cop or no, who are you to be trying to find dirt on his new girl?). There's humor, can't really explain that though either you find something humorous or not, but there's been quite a bit. ETA: Core Four - Drake, Meg, Nida and Jojo are called "the core four". Demetria, Bianca, they are important but those 4 are the main characters.
  7. They weren't "extinct" in the early 70's so it's not odd Carlos knew about them. Elkins, and Gordon Walker for his own part of it, were wiping them out. By the time John got into it 10 years later, most of them were gone and the few left deeply in hiding. Even in 86 there was the possibility a few were out there but by 2006(season 1) they were so rare most hunters apparently thought they were gone. (However they started rebuilding their numbers.)
  8. Dean and Sam thought vampires were EXTINCT up until the end of Season 1. There weren't actually a ton of vampires running around for quite a while, they had to take the time increase their numbers and Dean and Sam generally didn't have a ton of issues dealing with them, until Dabb's idiotic series finale. It's not like they were friends with Elkins, John may have known him before he was killed in Dead Man's Blood but Dean only met him long enough to borrow the Colt from him in 1973, he didn't sit around having a chat. Holy water isn't shown here as anything other than the sort of thing that distracts them momentarily due to the burning. It doesn't kill them or stop them. Frankly I can see Dean and Sam just not bothering because they want to get in and get it over with. SPN never said Holy Water did not work on Vampires so this in no way contradicts canon.
  9. As I recall they've never said Vamps were NOT burned by Holy Water. So it's not outside show canon. And it is real life vampire lore that vampires are affected by Holy Water. I think they even used it, to exaggerated effect, in the movie The Lost Boys. So it isn't out of left field to show vampires affected by Holy Water in the SPN universe - I look at it like Dean and Sam mostly didn't have to worry about it, because they didn't even start fighting vamps until they were in their 20s they believed they were extinct. They always had machetes and they had a vampire killing gun at least part of the time. The holy water can slow a vamps down a little by making them uncomfortable, it won't stop them. I really liked this one, though at this point I have sort of triggered response to vampires(thanks Dabb). I thought we got a lot of good character development and some interesting parallels with SPN. I mean this is in some respect Dean's story too, so those aren't just easter eggs, they are there for a reason, part of the story, giving us clues for what's happening and why. I also think it's an interesting shift now that John and Mary are actually together. But I think they quite smartly established the relationship between the 4 of them BEFORE this, one of the strengths of The Winchester is that ALL the combinations of characters are interesting, they all have a dynamic, they all have a relationship, whether new or established. It's not just well we have to keep this one busy let's stick them with this character while this 3rd character is doing this. Even between the older adults - Millie and Ada are good together, Millie and Samuel are good together. Samuel is good together with the kids. Millie and Ada individually and together with the kids are good together. One of the things it feels like is there is genuine respect for the characters as individuals.
  10. He died in Supernatural in the Season 8 episode As Time Goes By.
  11. ???? He's dead, they met his spirit a couple of episodes ago, he told them how to recharge the box. It was a pretty big part of the episode. As for Loki/Gabriel, In season 13 we found out that Gabriel and Loki made their deal for Gabriel to take over his persona in Ancient times, which means this must be Gabriel and he's probably faking because he is supposed to be keeping up Loki's persona, which is what he did his first appearances on SPN too. I mean it's possible Loki is out there doing stuff too but he was supposed to be laying low so Odin, etc didn't find him.
  12. Well maybe now we know why too. They said in a previous episode Samuel and Deanna often fought so maybe while they may have loved each other, it was also not necessarily a good relationship overall. So it makes sense his daughter would be more important to him than his wife. Maybe...that's why none of the pictures came out clear? Because "time" is being messed it and is unstable? I have to admit I'd prefer it if less Back to the Future and more that the Akrida caused this thing, it was in 1972 and Dean knew his family would have the best chance of handling it, but needed both sides, MoL(lol Mole Men) and Hunters and then that ends up changing history. Rather than it just being because he figured what the hell, might as well give it a try.
  13. The mine shaft was in the same area as where Sunny and Buck got engaged. I definitely would prefer Beau stays in Montana, and Emily too(Carla can do whatever, she has issues she needs to admit to), I like him and Jenny together. I think they have great chemistry.
  14. Shippers gonna ship esp when they have 260 character or less to do it in. LOL
  15. I don't have a link but there's an interview on I think TV Insider too, covers most of the same stuff.
  16. I thought this was a really exciting season finale, it was tense and exciting and you couldn't be entirely sure where it would go. Jensen was really excellent, that scene where he was imagining how terrified Emily must be and then wiping the tears and trying to get a handle on himself was so good. It made me cry. Also that expression when they had to let Buck leave with Sunny. He's so good. I knew Donno would live, was glad we got confirmation by the end.
  17. They didn't. They just left open possibilities for Season 4 if they get a season 4. So that way nothing is definitively decided. Beau didn't make a definitive decision on whether he was staying or not, he was talking about possibilities and even Carla and Emily aren't set in stone. At that point Carla has voiced her opinion to Beau that she wants to go back to Houston with Emily, if that is what she wants and thinks is best, he says he'll agree, for now at least. Emily's at an age where she can voice opinions regarding decisions about her life and where she wants to go, Carla may listen to her if she says "I want to stay here" insistently enough and if she does get counseling, counseling may even agree and give the same advice, best to stay here for now at least. Also people get to different points in their lives, what was right for them 5 months ago, might not be right for them now. At this point Beau has built up his life again, he has new friends, he has a career. He has a lot of positives in his life he didn't have when he started. Does he want to upend that when he's finally gotten back on his feet, to start over yet again, back to a place that as he said has a lot of ghosts for him? Carla left Houston to get away from her own "ghosts" which was apparently just a failed marriage at that point, and Beau followed her because of Emily. Carla once again is leaving to start over? What if she meets another guy and gets married in 6 months and moves to California? Would he be a bad parent for not once again following her because she moved Emily to yet another state? Emily is 15 or 16 he'd have another 2 or 3 years of it. Why does Carla keep moving? He'll still be Emily's father if they do move to Houston and he doesn't, video calls, holidays and school breaks, even weekend visits sometimes, it's not ideal but Carla is ultimately the one who can't seem to stay in one place, not him. Who knows while he's initially agreeable, he may decide to fight that - he's still got guilt about what happened in the past he may still be feeling he doesn't really have a right to disagree with her on it, that she knows best, but maybe after thinking about it for a bit he will, esp if Emily says anything about whether she wants to stay or go.
  18. Tex wasn't really an underling, he was hired to do a job but he clearly was someone with his own reputation and probably not worth killing over something like "hey I don't hurt kids". At that point Tony thought they were home free basically, he was about to get the money, he was going to kill Avery himself. They didn't really necessarily need Tex.
  19. There's going to be a reason for Emily's kidnapping I'm pretty sure, based on something the showrunner said in an interview. He mentioned a surprising twist.
  20. I hadn't even thought of that, usually it's the cop 3 days from retirement who gets killed, and while I don't think Donno will die, they put a twist on it with the criminal who was 3 days from retirement dying. Did Buck actually take all those strikes to the head? I mean Paige kicked his ass but it could be possible a lot of her blows were going a little wild.
  21. I want to see this show, Beau, Donno and Tonya. Beau the straight and narrow Private I, Donno and Tonya his not so straight and narrow(to say the least) contacts who can do various "odd jobs" for him. IMO it was because they had no way to see what was going on - it's a tight space, with a bar, tables, etc to use as barricades and shields, so they had to move in slowly to make sure they wouldn't be open fired on once they got in there. We just didn't see that part of it, we only saw them arriving in the actual room. I felt so much for Beau. He was basically focused on one thing, Emily. Even when Carla said she'd been followed his next thought was for his little girl. Jensen was fantastic.
  22. I want to see this show, Beau, Donno and Tonya. Beau the straight and narrow private I, Donno and Tonya his not so straight and narrow(to say the least) contacts who can do various "odd jobs" for him.
  23. I thought that too but then it occurred to me they aren't going to walk in the middle of a gun fight, which actually had nothing to do with them(this meeting would have taken place without them and would have gone much the same way, Avery was in way over his head, Tony was always going to kill him as soon as he could get the money), it's not like "innocent people" were involved, the closest to that was Avery and he was the idiot who kept going after that money despite being told what a bad idea it was and why and despite them trying to kill him earlier(the guy Donno killed with the hammers) and they had to make sure it was clear so none of them would get shot. So that was probably what most of the time was supposed to be taken up with. I was so afraid for the dog and very relieved when they had Buck leave her but poor baby lost her dad. :( That was an intense episode though.
  24. There is more than just 2 of them it makes sense to have a vehicle they can all fit in, it's very quintessentially 70s, plus it's actually where Carlos lives most of the time. Plus I mean in the cartoon, it seemed to me Daphne didn't actually have much of a personality whereas Mary is pretty much one of the best hunters. Latika might be "Velma" but Carlos is also a very competent hunter, he's no Shaggy.
  25. With regards to Buck, it has happened that sometimes serial killers stop killing for a period of time, even a long period of time and then start up again. I'm trying to remember the name but there was a real life one who did that. Killed up until his kids were young, stopped for a while and then started up again. So I don't see any issues with that. He stopped but essentially much like with his drinking, he's fallen off the wagon again. Maybe he took her there because he wasn't sure he was going do it?(home before where ever he took her to the room with the hearts) Why does the cornhole game need to make sense? It was a way to further torture Jenny and Gigi BEFORE they were killed and almost certainly they were going to kill both of them anyway. And man Avery needs to get his ass beat but good, this situation with the money is all his fault and he tries to twist it to make Beau somehow to blame? It's because he knows Beau's guilt about his family is his weak spot. His family? He's known them 2 years tops. Slimeball.
