  1. I enjoy watching the show and Kelly & Mark together. I've watched and followed the show for years and have enjoyed all the unique styles and character of everybody. I quite enjoyed watching all the workouts last week everday. To me, as someone who is trying to get my health back on track after some serious, life changing health issues and following a medically monitored program, it was inspiring to me, even if it would be a different plan and pace. The show is light and happy. It gives me a positive start and outlook to each day. I only watch shows I enjoy and this is one of them because of the lighthearted and self-deprecating humor. I hope others see there is positivity out there. This brings it for me. Throw in a solid couple who've raised a great family, worked their way up and a set crew that you can clearly see is like family...what's not to enjoy for an hour a day? :)
  2. Regarding the very dark hair, Mark Consuelos is an actor. He is recently portraying a character in an HBO film entitled "Girls on the Bus", based on a group of female journalists covering a Presidential election, only the series is set and based on a current day political climate. "The presidential hopeful Consuelos will be playing is said to be a popular action movie star-turned-politician." (1970's era) It's not difficult to recognize who Consuelos Presidential league character is based on. Many actors, male and female change their appearance for ongoing filming of their character roles. https://collider.com/mark-consuelos-girls-on-the-bus-cast/ I am looking forward to it.
  3. My own elderly parents and some family are seriously compromised. I am always masked as well. My family, my choice. Why can't you cut some slack? You don't know her life. Have you ever had a comfort level that is your own? Everyone is entitled to this if they want.
  4. https://www.nexttv.com/news/syndication-ratings-live-with-kelly-and-ryan-lifts-in-second-week-of-olympics [Neilson Ratings] Live with Kelly and Ryan rallied in the second full week of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, taking sole possession of first place in talk for the first time in eight weeks in the session ended February 20. Disney’s Live with Kelly and Ryan had tied CBS Media Ventures’ Dr. Phil for talk’s top slot in the prior two weeks. The vast majority of syndicated shows were flat to down, due to preemptions on NBC affiliates, schedule changes and stronger-than-usual competition on various platforms due to the Winter Olympics. On February 15 and 16, there were also heavy preemptions on CBS affiliates for coverage of UEFA Champions League soccer. Live, which was among the very few shows in positive territory, strengthened 6% to a 1.7 live plus same day national household rating, according to Nielsen Media Research. Among daytime’s key demographic of women 25-54, Live led with a 0.6.
  5. Just curious why this thread is full of posts of people that dislike the show so intensely and dissect and analyze every moment but keep tuning in and following the show? Last time I couldn't sit through a show or the people behind it, I use the remote control to escape. Don't like? Why watch?
  6. Their Michigan home could very well be leased, owned or rented. Most people I know (non-celebrities) aren't exactly giving America a grand tour of where they live. I'm referring to a poster here mentioning they need variety and wants to see different areas of the Consuelos house. Nobody owes that to anyone, especially people in the public eye who might really enjoy privacy. Nobody sees my entire home on a public meeting call, not to mention all of North America. Would you want that? One of my family members purchased an investment place as a secondary home in another City when they were back and forth a lot for a 5+ year term. The entire family enjoyed the use of it and it felt like a home away from home. Best investment they ever made. From the Consuelos track record, I believe Mark & Kelly have common sense financial-wise and have made the best decision if indeed a real estate purchase was considered. Also, in my family member's case no way were they going to hotel it for several years. Plus the pets are able to enjoy the investment home/place as well. Makes excellent & prudent financial sense if you ask me, not to mention you can really make it your own with personal surroundings. It also sounds to me as if they are really enjoying Ann Arbour and all the area has to offer. Why wouldn't they hang out there here and there if they can? If you're a parent, it's fantastic to be able to take off to be near your kid(s) and get away from your home City. We did the same when ours were 3-4 hours away. Loved visiting because we all had a close and great relationship and we loved taking them for dinner, having family nights and meeting all of their new friends. Best parents I've ever seen raise their kids to fly. Who is anyone to say assume that this was the 'wrong' choice for Joaquin? Lol. With their family, their life, most likely HIS choice. They seem like a pretty balanced lot, and Joaquin comes off as a very intelligent, kind, hard working young man. Kelly has mentioned publicly his challenges with Dyslexia, but he seems to be handling things just great. Good on him on his choice not to mention his loving family for supporting him and his future. Michael and Lola went to New York universities and seem to be forging their good way as they move forward in life. Joaquin will too. The kids seem very well balanced and brought up properly.
  7. I also wondered the same thing about the end result for the winner. I had fun reading the following review on this show (or an 'informercial' for Chicken Guy!' as the author describes it). I'm crazily drawn to these types of shows or sometimes there's just nothing much on TV at the moment and I'm a Food Network fan. The article below also questions the vague information on what the 'lucky' contestant might be in for. https://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/2022/01/guys-chance-of-a-lifetime-food-network-review/ And more on the Eboni lady (plus an additional take on the show's premise follows her profile- keep scrolling). I also thought she looked familiar. https://www.mashed.com/670820/guys-chance-of-a-lifetime-release-date-grand-prize-and-more/ I'm neutral on Hunter. Some day Guy might let him loose on his own and he might surprise us all with an infectious, charismatic personality, but it certainly isn't shining though while he's so carefully scripted. I agree he seems like a nice enough young man. Hope he can make things work within the family companies and come into his own someday.
  8. Is this forum ok to post anything positive? I enjoy and look forward to the Live with Kelly & Ryan show each morning. I find it light-hearted and uplifting - a welcome relief to escaping hard hitting global news at least for an hour out of my day. I enjoy Kelly & Ryan's fun banter together. In these days of Covid and depressing news, how can this be a bad thing? I think Kelly & Mark personally have done a remarkable job of raising their children nicely and have both forged great careers and share a very nice family life. I've followed the show for a long time and have watched through the years of Regis and Kathy Lee, Kelly's debut, co-host testing here and there, Michael Strahan, now Ryan. I've always enjoyed it. I get a kick out of Gelman, Art Moore and the rest of the crew. They feel like family to me in my own home. Am I one of few here that posts a positive in stating I really enjoy the show? Am I on the wrong board? How do people who dislike the show or hosts so much keep watching? If I personally don't care for Jane or John Doe on their certain programs, I find something else. For an hour of my weekday morning while I put on my face and dress for work, it feels light, funny and happy to me and the show adds a lot to my day. There are going to be shows and personalities that appeal to one, but perhaps not another person. Choose your one, but I enjoy this one!
  9. I like all, live a very busy life. I'd recorded all these new episodes...it's like watching a train wreck. I am just catching up now. I have tried to watch this episode no less than 4 times, and dropped off with every attempt at various stages. Either I'm really exhausted these days or it's a real snoozer. FINALLY I got through to the end. Honestly, I think either Mykelti was a bit envious of the attention Maddie was getting through the whole wedding planning process or just suffers from a serious lack of self-esteem and confidence and when one person paid attention to her all of a sudden while she was away, it was the immature and naive "I'm in love too!!!!" and this is the real thing concept. Maybe it's real, maybe it's just a fairytale. Could she have chosen someone any more different than what was expected? Rebellious nature, perhaps? I didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday. Married for 30+ years and living a mainstream life (vs. Polygamy), in my day, one girl would be married, then there was a rash of ones to follow...just because it was the thing to do. Many of the girls I knew married 'the bad boy' out of rebellion and a "You're not the boss of me anymore." attitude. Those ones didn't last. Just my opinion, but I see a sad and lonely girl named Mykelti who is desperate to be loved by someone. Anyone. Before I read any comments on this Tony dude and watched earlier episodes for myself, he made my skin crawl and I have never sensed any true lust or love with these two from a tv series sense of things. I can't understand what Tony Marble mouth says half the time, in my eyes he's far from attractive in a physical sense (I realize beauty is in the eye of the beholder) and he seems socially awkward, very immature and not really engaged with her family in a nice sense. He could look like Frankenstein, but if he had any personality or charm to add, that would be just fine. I just don't like any part of this dude. I agree with someone else who mentioned he may have latched onto the Brown family ties for his own advancement. What that might be, I don't know. Just don't trust this clown. The fishing thing was a bit weird to me. I agree Janelle likes to check out more often as time progresses. She seems so very unhappy. I'm sure it calms her, but I see Maddie as crying out as if to say "Look, Mom...I'm an adult. I'm getting married. It's the most important day of my life and I need you. And you're going on and on and on about fishing." I agree that Janelle could go fishing while everyone is sleeping, but you'd think she could just focus on the day her girl is getting married, get up early and offer to help in some way or get herself all spruced up. Seems a bit Passive-Agressive on Janelle's part to be so manic about going fishing. Lol. Let it go, Janelle....just for this day. Fishies will be there always. Christine was the one I used to not like that much, but she (as Ko-douche says) was quite animated. Especially at the cookie shop. She looked as if she'd downed a bottle of wine beforehand with all that crazy giddy laughter. I guess I should be on massive doses of sugar too. i also couldn't get over all the time spent in about the wind...the wind...that wind...oh yeah...the wind. Don't forget the wind. Jeez people. I love in a climate that can change on a dime. Most people will have a plan B in the event there is gasp....a gusting wind, or maybe a torrential downpour. Not these folks. I am so proud I finally made it through this episode, viscious wind, lingerie on display, high on cookies, sitting down in a store testing 'Bohemian' floor trays, TBag, fishing dilemmas and more...all without having to take a Xanax. Please help me get through the next one. The damned train wreck keeps calling.
