  1. Has there been a recent season, with new shows? My DVR didn't pick it up. I thought the show was cancelled
  2. I guess for Judy to be taking the high road and putting her YT content on pause (which is very common anyway among YT-content creators), I do applaud her and makes me like her more. I can use the time to catch up on the vlogs I haven't seen. With that said - I do agree that there should be a statue of limitations on "work promotion". Current and future shows, yes.... maybe something done in the past 3 years, possibly. but "work" that was done 40+ years ago that is rerunning for free at least on one channel (whose sole existence/premise is oldie tv shows), when one was a minor, and a 1/3 of the main cast is deceased, no. Not a violation. Let me take a peek to see what is the most recent tv show series that comes on MeTV- surely it can't be MASH.. Possibly "In the Heat of the Night"..
  3. Just wanted to add, this esposide was fascinating to me. I had no idea of what a Thali was. I admire anyone for getting 6 dishes plus rice ready for a meal. My head would spin. How often is a Thali served to the family- every day? It's funny how the pleasure memory of food served at an Indian school was equal to a high caliber chef. Lunchtime must was a damn good meal each day. That memory discussion was a long, long, long way from my public school hot lunch memories - meaning I hope a trained chef would make it better than my memory & the cafeteria staff.
  4. I never understood the serving sizes of elimination dishes on this show. It's not really enough food to see what it tastes like. Gail always says the next bite, as I kept eating- which doesn't make sense sometimes. The peas seemed large compared to the cake slither. I will leave the "delicacy" of pea-cake alone-except : 1-it sounds like something created to get kids to eat their veggies. 2-maybe she should have made that on the trick-a-dish-illusion challenge. And since it's such a small portion- why not throw undercooked meat on the flattop/pan/broiler?
  5. The 20th year toasting send-off made me have a little nervous thought - is the show coming back?🤔 It does seem to get better each year, but we can say that about alot of long running shows that came to an end, too (thinking of MASH). Those chefs that were part of season 1, are considered Masters now. Plus the show comes on at all different times of the year, which seems like Bravo (Andy) could be looking for a time slot. Yes- 20 yrs is a long time. Tom and Gail might have ambitions, too - is padma leaving the start of a panel recasting? I thought Top Chef was Bravo cash cow behind/in-front of real house wives of Atlanta.
  6. Two things I have grown to love about Padma is : 1- she is easy on the eyes and has her fashion sense, 2- she made most chef-testants fear cooking Indian food. Karla can get a little "too much" silly-squirlly and I don't think she has a food/cuisine view that most will fear cooking.
  7. Does a wellington have to be a certain height ? I was trying to think of ways to mediate the beef/meat from being undercooked - ie use a shorter height of the meat. It will be the servings from the middle (the tallest part) that will take the longest to cook. Or they could have made an extra one - that would have had the servings on the end cooked to compensate for the middle pieces that were undercooked.
  8. how many michelin stars does Tom have? They give a count of everyone else - but I don't recall his number. Tom said he hasn't cooked in 2 years . Why ? covid closed all his restaurants and he couldn't reopen/ recover back ?
  9. The smaller Mexican food store didn't have plantains for Gabri ? What was the final count of pots of food that he burned ? He must have a thing about not using too much water to boil beans & lentils..
  10. Yep - last liver I had was at the parents - when I moved out , that was the last time I ate that dish. Actually I was in a restaurant , in the midwest, just before memorial day, that had Liver and onions on the menu. I just figured there is a market of eaters back for that dish and/or it is one of the cheaper cuts of meat - given how food costs have risen. I don't know which animal the liver was from where I was, but I think chicken livers is a delicacy in many restaurants in ATL.
  11. I wish the finale had the last 4 chefs - meaning include Ali. He had a bad day over shrooms (that only grow on horse manure?) but I think he would have brough it to the finale round.
  12. spoiler alert: "your contactless MasterCard will allow you to..." forget the answer - Padma just had to say something extra too many times about food shopping
  13. I'm surprised the restaurant didn't have a dress code about the shirt - we have places here that would have called that tee "athletic attire" speaking of paychecks - I supposed Joe Guidice is still getting one for the video calls ?
  14. what is the advantage of adopting an 16 yr old, who lives with his bio-father ? Did his father establish parental rights - if he wasn't married to the mother ? At age 16 - can't one say whom, they do (or don't want) to be a dependent of ?
  15. just came here to say , Tre's 4 daughters really look beautiful in their gowns. they have grown into nice looking young ladies right before our eyes. Her youngest one really had a growth height spurt, since I last seen her. And Melinia dating ?? wow - time has flies.. she was leaning towards being one of those who would be ready to fight a person in a minute... she seems really sweet and peaceful now.
  16. tape of who ? And how old is this tape? Everyone has been in a relationship for ever
  17. Sexual exploitation ?!?!?! What did ole' dawg make (or suggest) whom do ?????
  18. late to the comment party - 1) I wish they would leave the young man alone on his college plans. First of all - he is NOT in dental school now. One can't go to dental school without getting a 4 year degree first. Yes - he appears to have a nice voice, but if going to school is bringing him to tears, then it's time for plan B. 2) I think Xscape would be a little better if one the sisters would split out. Times and life have changed more so for the 4 of them than SWV, and seeing the backstage/behind the scenes stuff is painful. Wonder what would it take to legally make them a group of three, or a new group of four. In a few years - they will be like other groups - people want to hear the songs, regardless who is on stage. I think every summer I hear the Temptations (who subbed in/out members in their hayday) are having a concert at some summer park festival. I don't think people really care anymore who is singing "My Girl", " I Wish it would rain," "just my imagination", to name a few. 3) Who discusses a sex eroictica book project with their child ? 4) Has either one of the groups had a new hit in the 2000s ? I agree with one of the sisters when she said she doesn't want to be in her 60s singing " my little secret..". That 1991 flashback vid, that a 5th member part of xscape - who they fuzzed out - what happened to her? 5) all of the petty arguing - who sings first, who sings last, - I wished the lawyers would have worked that out before the show aired. I think the 7 women work best if they just follow the script - letting them have input leads unnecessary discussions.

  20. Two basic questions - Does everyone besides Delores think she would find happiness with anyone else - if she gets Frank out of HER (not her adult kids) personal life ? Why does Delores hang onto Frank so-so much?? I could see if when the kids were smaller - they are grown and independent (for the most part) adults... Keep it civil and peaceful, but that is really all that has to happen... I can see a potential beau getting creeped out
  21. I am drawing a blank on which episode(s) she was in... was she the one in the farewell eposide - who said she wanted to work in pediartrics after the war to see life beginning ? was she in the nurses episode where Margret penalized 4 nurses for making fudge in their tent and punished a newlywed for sneaking out?
  22. RVs can cost a pretty penny. They have really upgraded models and\or features now and are considered by retirees/downsizing/people-wanting-to-live simpler/smaller, those who WFH; travel nurses;- for example - https://www.nirvc.com/Sales/Inventory/10051#morePhotos The YT of the person I was following showed that once you find an RV park, just plug in the 3 plugs (electricity, water, sewage) into your assigned box and all of the comforts of home are there. Actually more than my home as she had a TV on the outside !
  23. good news. I did a quick search to see if the Law schools have announced their freshman class (kinda like what Match day does for medical students)... I came across her linkedin page. Even if she can't get Juicy's case overturned one day, she does seem passionate about being a lawyer and helping others https://www.linkedin.com/in/gia-giudice/
