  1. Did Kayla mentioned she getting married? I figured they would keep her around until the wedding; with the other dolls in the bridal party
  2. sorry for joining the party late.. my interest in this show was high at the beginning - I guess to see Rome attractions, to see if women could , I guess find a healthy companion ship in a man, and if any American men are watching, to find new ways to romance a women. I would admit I was a Gina Neely fan and was sadden when they divorced - but she seems to be floundering every since (bouncing on a few shows b/c she lost weight)- kinda going though a mid-life crisis. She doesn't like people to refer or remind her of "down home with the neeleys" but to be honest - who is she otherwise? She is a current celebrity of what? She's a little too motherly for this group and maybe would do better in a US version of this show. I think Mercedes can find what she is looking for, I think she probably has been looking in the wrong places, Most who are deeply religious and want a religious person meet them in religious places. If she is in Rome, surely she would have better luck near/at a church than just cruizing the street. And trying to "convert" a man - good luck with that . RE- the rest - I tend to loose interest and track. agree that one that drinks, who is also a chef, might need more help in putting down the alcohol and Rome isn't the place to "go on the wagon:.
  3. hey.. I kinda lost this track of the show during the Olympics. I have to admit I enjoyed the last episode - 'Spinning out of control". I've always wondered how successful (or not) was a spin only studio. I do doubt how Tabitha turns around a business within her 3-step x-days plan, but this was an interesting one. Karyn is teaching 5-6 classes a day? And it appears she's not physically well - walking around with a coat on and napping all of the time. Surely there has to be some wiggle room to take that load off of her. I didn't like the suggestion of asking the celebrities to promote their business. Sometimes a celebrity wants to go to a place and workout w/o the rest of the paparazzi knowing. If anyone finds the recipes for the dinner they cooked at home, please let us know !!! here's their web site: The Graham Sisters - RPM Spin Personally, I have never tried spinning, but I would not like a fitness studio where I had to climb stairs, just to get into the place. anybody know how did Tabitha lose her weight if she doesn't care to exercise?
  4. sorry - I had to look up what "human services " degree meant... I thought her degree was in human resources combined with some kind of education . "Human services is a broadly defined field that encompasses the aim of meeting human needs. It is an interdisciplinary field of study that strives to prevent and address problems as well improve the overall quality of life for clients. Someone who works in the human services industry will work to assist individuals and communities in their everyday lives" another site: "Through the bachelor's in human services program, you'll learn how to: Evaluate social, political and historical milestones and trends as they relate to human services' role in advocating for individuals, families and communities in need Apply culturally responsive strategies across diverse populations Apply legal and ethical standards to provide comprehensive, well-informed care Employ professional, interpersonal dynamics in formal and informal networks Evaluate policy development, communication strategies and coalition-building opportunities - the building blocks of social change Develop knowledge and skills in inquiry, critical and creative thinking, and decision-making" {so SR yr of HS , Kelli, who seemed to do academically well in HS, met with her guidance counselor and said I want to go to a college to major in human services...}
  5. If Tori - THE BRIDE TO-BE does not care about all of the wedding details, why have such a big wedding ?? That's what bugs me about their weddings - they have to be over the top mega affairs like it was the British Monarchy. I'm not saying they have to go to the courthouse with just a couple of witnesses to sign the certificate, but there is ALOT of room on the wedding day spectrum to Kelli's notebook of 10 pages. Part of me is thinking - Kelli - did you NOT have the large wedding of your dreams , which means every child has to have such an big day so you can live though it? I didn't like Kelli leading the conversation and answering the questions at the bridal store. Sorry, hun -your day was decades ago - let the child speak - the store owner can pull details out of her. Eventually. If Tori and Bobby were afraid/nervous to ask if they could move the wedding up- they are not ready to make their own decisions. They looked liked little teenagers asking to borrow the car on Saturday night.
  6. Is In-touch a reliable & believable source ? " Joy-Anna Duggar gave birth to her first child with husband Austin Forsyth just five days ago, but now new details have emerged regarding their dangerous living situation. According to Radar Online, the Counting On stars purchased their Arkansas abode for $69,250 days before their wedding. Unfortunately, it wasn't exactly the home of their dreams, and they're currently living in an RV on the property. Watch the video above to take a tour! The dilapidated home features three bedrooms and one bathroom. While literally every room of the house needs to be painted, the couple has to tackle a mold issue. "It's nasty! It's really moldy," Joy-Anna said on this week's Season 7 premiere. " here is the video of home ( link ) Now if JoyAnna says something is nasty... it must be n-a-s-t-y. Not familar with the area but 69.2K seems a little high for something you have to completely gut out. there must be alot of land.
  7. I just had a shivering thought as to what this could mean.. "spread eagle" at my command...and "have 3 square meals on the table" poor girl..
  8. Should we submit this menu to Bobby Flay and/or Food Network? Every body ready to spend their hard earned vacation time with your family here? sorry for the flash. :)
  9. back to the rumer of joy being pregnat close to the wedding or on the honeymoon - she is doing all of this high adventure stuff? And boy or boy.. she couldn't keep her lips off of the man.. at the hang glider - I was about to say "go get a room"....
  10. All- the Peetes have moved to the Hammark channel; Sundays 10 pm EST. The first episode aired Sun ,Feb 2/18/18 and will repeat this Friday.
  11. I Would have thought there already was a michelin star soul food resturant. I wonder why not?
  12. Whoa.. by ministry I meant the church in the area, they or an friend attend. Not necessarily the smith-family owned church . I actually did think Pa Smith made his $$ by doing something a little more lucrative and stable. Hard to support a house of that size in a gated subdivision in FL unless you feel very comfortable in your monthly earnings. And I.m not saying to interfer to the point as not to marry Tori - but just ask/guide are you financially ready to marry period. Bobby and Tori are approaching this as if they are doing a step-by-step puzzle.just b/c he graduated, move to tn , slow down a little and get a little more stable. Is this them : http://www.primerica.com/public/PrimericaRep?rep=robsmithjr
  13. Very well said and many excellent points. Sad to say, most men I know would have either 1)ran, 2) said go get the ring yourself if you want it that bad & quickly or 3) when the jeweler said the sizing was done and ready for pickup, burn rubber to the store & put it on the finger right then , just to hear peace. What doesn't make sense is how come Bobby's parents are appearing so spineless? Sounds like Pa Smith worked hard and amounted some financial success-doesn't he have a business and/or church that perhaps Bobby should be starting his career at? Also I know a few moms who gave their sons "look with you eyes wide open speech" about getting involved with women who appear too desperate. Just b/c Tori & Bobby haven't slept together, doesn't mean trapping motives &games aren't in play. Tori is a great young woman, however I would think Ma/Pa had bigger dreams for Bobby - starting with daughters of their own friends & aquaintances. I understand you have to let them make their own adult decisions but show some fight.
  14. Odd, but ok.. I guess I am used to being around parents who think the opposite-want to give the option for their children to experience something they didn't/couldn't.
  15. Bates believe in higher education ONLY at one very specific institution. What was a sad occurrence of events was Lawson dreamed of signing the national anthem at UT-Knoxville. I thought he wants to sing at a school that he (or any sibling) is not allowed to apply, let alone attend. With so many dependents, the family would have been provided an excellent scholarship/financial aid PKG from an university. Time will tell if someone will venture out and earn a master's degree. BTW: what was duggars the reasoning their offspring can't earn a 2 yr , trade, or 4 yr degree?
  16. Whitney went to college? Graduated? In/for what? Did I hear right,?
  17. sorry, I am late to this thread. This is the best RW episode in a long time. Long time. don't care for the chefs getting overly involved in the decor - like shopping at Pier Imports and Restaurant Depot picking out plates/flatware. I am glad for Craftsy(?) to come in , meet with the team and get the necessities, along with printing the menu and doing the logo. The $40K prize to the winning team was icing on the cake. I also like the idea of each team using the same physical space and kitchen. Great idea of doing 9 different dishes to give the chefs a chance to showcase their skill. Good strategy by Conifer to pick dishes that required more prep (where you have time) but could be plated and served quickly. Great idea to bring back an eliminated chef to help with prep. This was filmed in 2017 - lets get rid of the paper tickets. Once the menu was made, load it into the restaurant software and have the printer or monitor in the kitchen so the chefs know when to fire what..
  18. they just aired Tori's decorating a trailer in TN for Bobby. If they aired their engagement - which I'm sure was a long winded event all inclusive family event - I missed that episode. but yes, I think they are now married in real life - the wedding has aired yet.
  19. I too am little curious about Dr. Vick. If he was raised a fundy, how was he able to go to an accrediated undergrad, medical school, residency and let alone specialize in OB-GYN? If he married into fundy, still I would think the lifestyle of an OB-GYN (ie on-call, birth control, ) would be a contradiction of their religious rules. I would think it be a little hard to be a "true" fundy father (ie God & family first) of a large nbr of offspring while a fully practicing Ob Dr. Derrick Dillard had issues being an accountant when he married Jill Duggar. Even Gil stopped being in sales/marketing/engineering to find another occupation so that he could spend time with his growing family. Here is his bio and info about the practice from ( link ) : A Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. Dr. Vick earned a B.A. in Biology, an M.A. in Developemental Anatomy and his medical degree from West Virginia Univerity located in Morgantown West Virginia. He further completed his internship and residency at Northeast Ohio College of Medicine of Akron, Ohio. side note: I would think a Bio Major would earn a B.S....as opposed to a B.A. hmmmm The office is named for Nancy Vick who passed in 2002 ( link ): "Nancy Vick had a vision to create a center for women that would not only offer top-notch medical services, but also minister to them spiritually . She dreamed of a place that had an atmosphere of a warm Christian home instead of a sterile doctor's office; where Christian music would be heard and saying a prayer with a patient would not be considered out of place."
  20. Yes, they both look good. I guess we can thank the police/state trooper academy for getting him in shape. And now that we wears uniforms daily (ie he can't outgrow them w/o buying new ones) and is on the force, he probably regularly works out. Don't police have to do a physical fitness test , at least once every year? If we notice that Whitney looks good - you can surely bet so does Zach. Here comes baby #3. On the flip side, Tori is gaining - all in the hips. A couple of those jean skirts were very huggy. Time to work out to get ready for the wedding dress.
  21. I was thinking a better use of Kayla time would have been peeking through the windows @ the workshop of the guest teachers for nationals. It could be that the community can see that Kayla isn't ready to teach (ie lack of name dropping resume) and/or doesn't have a product. Sounds like she is "trying" to run a pop-up free-style hip-hop only dance team. Parents of students K-12 would be looking for a planned dance pgm, structure and permanent equipped facility . Young adults, 18+, who are not already working on their skills in established setting, are going to need extensive time & training to compete. I.m getting a little tired of Diana making excuses for the girls not embracing jazz & lyrical. Other styles should be part of her class offerings and she should be has hard on them just like the majorette dances. Expression, technique and strength seemed to be an issue during the workshop. Cristiana actually said the lyrical is the opposite of what she's been doing her whole life. I think if the guest teachers had a job or audition, to dance or perform in another style other than what they presented to the girls, they could. All 3 of then were great. ??
  22. MODs.. this is the 2nd Friday night show, with a new episode and very active chatter, that I had to do searches to find. something went terribly wrong during the upgrade a few days ago. ------- back to the episode - my heart went out to Selena and Sunjai. I think this is during the summer, so hopefully Sunjai didn't miss out on too many activities/classes/work to stay home longer b/c of the emergency. It was the right thing for her to come home and assist, but as a parent I would feel a little guilty. Forgive me so saying this as I know everyone handles death differently. This is the FIRST time I heard that someone was grieving so much (or so stressed out) that it caused them to have multiple seizures; I'm used to couldn't eat/sleep/crying excessively/anger/hair falling out/adult acne/drinking/over eating/took to their bed/getting high/not performing well on the job. Yes, she was like a mother to her - but surely Selena has been around someone who has lost a parent/grandparent - meaning death does happen to the very best and loving people in our lives.. Yes, it is very, very sad and emotional but to the point of having a seizure... I wonder if she (or the Drs) tested her for another underlying medical issue.
  23. Might be a bucket list to-do. And promotion for her resturant. She was 37 when the show premired-so she probably figured WTH- I'll give it a shot if & when they call. If only 1 chef could do all 3 of the special cuts, then the other 2 should/could have done a major part on the other parts of the dish. I wondered if Chris would have been "hiding" if he had two other team mates.
  24. Just popped in for a minute. .any news on (1) jenna - did she officially turn in her resignation yet and (2) did Cersten get into med school ?
  25. Say whaaaaaattt......honest engine Chris going to jail? !?!?maybe that is why caroline & jaquline need $$$..lawyer fees and his little autistic son (I forgot his name). This list of felons on this show seems to be growing...
