  1. Live long in Prosper: That windmill ceiling fan was indeed awesome, but I bet they could have gotten it and had it installed for far less than $2,000. (To be fair, in all the back and forth negotiating with the builder I can understand settling for paying for it now rather than mess with searching for one and getting it installed later. New buyer fatigue is real.)
  2. Brits to Perth: I liked that they immediately eliminated the first condo, nice change of pace. Disappointed that they didn't embrace more of Australian uniqueness, like losing a child to a blue ring octopus.
  3. New Jersey band: Poor girl, the producers must have told her it would air on St. Patrick's Day.
  4. That green exterior paint they gushed over tonight was very meh. Hated the blue stripes on the porch and steps and that shade of blue didn't seem to go well with meh green. But otherwise I loved the episode, paused what I was doing more often than normal to just watch.
  5. Munich: "I know it is really, really expensive, but I wish he wouldn't think about that." What a great recipe for financial success... The full netting for the small balcony of the 2nd apartment was a little weird. I mean I guess it would protect you from a foul ball, but baseball doesn't seem to be a big sport in Germany.
  6. Wroclaw, Poland: Man, those bouncy stairs that looked liked they were about to fall down would have been a dealbreaker for me. Not to mention that he has to go up and down them just to get to the bathroom from the bedroom.
  7. Denver, Minneapolis, Vienna to Sweden: I knew they'd choose Mr. Roper's building.
  8. AZ to Paris: This will come as a shock, but our FACT CHECK shows some of the State of the Episode claims were BS. Versailles is only 45 minutes from Paris by train, and any place close to where they showed the nearby 3rd house on the map was less than an hour from Paris via transit, not 1.5 hours. FACT CHECK #2: Adrian's glasses were indeed awesome.
  9. Milan: I would have preferred more realtor and less sisters, but I'm too snarky. Anyone see the lady walking with a yellow left shoe and a green right one in a crowd shot? Edit: As a guy, I thoroughly enjoyed the Bocas del Toro, Panama episode. Helloooooo Sam the friend. Howyadoin! Seriously, though, without knowing much about the area I'd have some concern about safety in smaller towns and rural areas, versus moving to one of the good neighborhoods in Panama City. Hopefully not an issue in BDT. Wikipedia says 136 inches of rain a year....
  10. Awesome Atlanta couple where he looked like a Crash Test Dummies Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm version of James Harden ("His beard had turned from black into bright white"): They had us laughing the entire episode. His, uh, playing with the elephant trunk faucet was the LULZ. Give them a series! (He's a little too much of a ham, though, so HGTV producers would surely coach him up to annoying levels.)
  11. High Maintenance & Sugar Dad to Medellin: OK, I missed the opening, did they explain exactly why Medellin and their backgrounds? Because, um, I have lots of questions....
  12. Florence to Florence episode: Haha, what a fun family! I wish all HH episodes were this well done. Seems odd that with a $500k budget and 7 children they were looking at a much cheaper 4-bedroom house. But then..."Let's go find our kids, I'd like to take at least 4 of them home."
  13. Quite a funny episode tonight, those buyers had a good sense of humor. Kitchen dance party. Not sure which one was Toy and which one was Cory, though. Brick flooring inside the first house was weird. They did great renovating the house exterior, painting the railing black was perfect. Nice houses are so cheap there. We're almost tempted to retire early and just move to Laurel on a smaller budget...A Whole New World.
  14. One thing I absolutely love about House Hunters is the producers' subtleness. They never resort to viciously beating us over the head with things like "Catio"....
  15. Well fiddlesticks, I wish the Ljubjubjubljana episode had aired a few days ago.
  16. I'm gonna have my kids start adding "1/1" to all their refrigerator art. Maybe he was afraid to speak up after the "Stay in your lane, Bro"....
  17. To the lady buying a tiny house in Atlanta: STOP YELLING AT ME! Otherwise she and her friend were funny. But I'm curious how much it costs to heat and cool one of those tiny houses. They had one choice with a metal slab as part of a side wall, which got me wondering about how well it was insulated. Also wondered if anyone is ever stupid enough to buy one fo the tiny houses without rails on the steep stairs and upper area. Looked really easy to roll over in bed, straight off the side, and break your neck on the kitchen counter while falling to the floor. Geronimo!
  18. I came over to ask what the hell happened to the host? In the promo's now (not just the pimp one) he looks like a crashing meth whore covered in graffiti. Sure makes me wonder if he's another of many for whom wealth and fame opened too many unfortunate doors. Not interested in watching anyone who seems like an addict, or someone who thinks that's a good look. I cringe when his promo spots come on now.
  19. Someone asked if it rained a lot on Fiji. I looked it up during the episode, the primary town on their island can get 119 inches per year, though there's a drier side. Also, I'm hearing the Sentinel Island episode may be delayed....
  20. Yeah, I was thinking it was London when I flipped over and Mr. Awesome Beard was talking. (But I could be misremembering. As a writer, I'm a bit out of sorts typing here while not in my Madrid special space.)
  21. Australia to Rome: So fake, she was living the entire time with boyfriend Luka (on the 2nd floor.)
  22. I believe they were also budgeting $40k for the future pool. $159 house + $25 reno + $40 pool = $224k. Their budget for all houses was $225k. But I'm 224% sure that all the budget numbers and the other 2 house options were just producer inspired fiction, they had probably already bought their house. "...small closet, I may have to reduce my dresses to 375." Was that a random number, or how many days she thinks there are in a year? (Not really trying to pile on, I liked them and wish them luck. Just some humor. Would love to see one of those followup episodes once their renovations are complete.)
  23. I'm a little jealous of the family that moved to Pucon, Chile. Such a beautiful area and a great country. Only $700 a month for that house!
