  1. Agreed. Would also be nice if he appeared for more than like a 2-minute scene each ep (I guess he's been used more in a couple eps, but it still didn't really give background). Maybe an ep around a missing friend or relative of his? Perhaps someone else in the disabled community?
  2. Yes, I think this is what the problem is! It was centered around MAGIC (interns acronym) at the start. Like we were viewing from their perspective. Now, it's also what's going on with Jo & Linc, Bailey, Richard, Teddy, Owen, Schmitt, Helm, Amelia, etc. It's too many plot lines. Like, are we supposed to be rooting for Teddy, so we understand why she's asking Yasuda to be checking on her patients? Or for Yasuda, who is trying to do that while also doing what Bailey wants her to *and* not let Owen or anyone else know what she's doing for Teddy?
  3. Agreed--I was never that into Kristin, and I feel Nina is a good fit.
  4. Many of the others were pretty close for me. Now I want to rewatch this season!
  5. Looking at my IMDB ratings for that season, I'd say The Ring, Chosen, Absentia, Sheltered, and Couples as my favorites.
  6. I thought they slept together in Boston, then...one of them (I forget who--Maggie?) said it was just that one time, that they weren't getting back together.
  7. I was wondering that, too! I thought they'd have at least referenced it in some way? Even a throwaway line.
  8. This was much better than the description suggested it would be. I suppose that's not saying much, as the description sounded pretty terrible! But I was pretty engaged by it.
  9. I'm against unannounced drop-bys, even from people I know well (they all know this). If I were Maria, I probably wouldn't have answered the door. Could she not have found a way to contact her first? I assume they have standard email addresses. Or shown up at her precinct? Also, it would have been nice if she'd looked through the window, saw her looking happy, smiled, and just walked back to her car, not wanting to interrupt the moment. But nope, had to make it about her. Agreed that Olivia going under the car was ridiculous. And then Curry proved her value to the squad. Olivia: "It's a tracking device." Curry: "So he was being tracked." Brilliant deduction there! (It's possible I have the lines reversed, but the point remains.) It occurs to me that it would have been an interesting twist if the younger sister knew about the father and was somehow involved in his death. And that she was working with the sister to lure the other men to their death, to take revenge on men like her father. Though she was probably a bit young for that.
  10. I feel like the one truly good part of the ep was Mika standing up to Jo. She deserved that. Had she and Linc answered their pages, at least some of the interns wouldn't have been in trouble. I ended up fast-forwarding through some of the self-driving car stuff. Partly because it was annoying, but it was also inducing some anxiety. I was annoyed by more villainous Catherine. Was sort of hoping there'd be a twist where she'd say, "No, continue your research. I believe in you."
  11. Yeah, I wasn't really pulled into this one--it felt really long, too. I don't think it helps that since I've last watched this show, I've seen Found and Tracker, which seem a bit more compelling. Wayne seemed interesting at first, but I think she'd get old fast. I hope if they do use her again, she's just recurring, like someone they consult, rather than a regular character.
  12. Really, the FBI should be called in for something like that, I'd think. Also, won't they be really short on detectives with Stabler suspended and Reyes on leave? I know there's the new guy but, well, he's a new guy. Plus Bell recovering
  13. Did anyone else think the other woman at the hostel then at the bar with the victim was going to be involved? The whole "mysterious suspect" in the episode description especially made me think that. Like I thought maybe she actually assaulted the victim at the hostel after she was brought back by the taxi. She just seemed suspicious to me.
  14. Agreed! The Closer was good at having the occasional light episode (even if a murder was involved), or at least including some light moments in a heavy one.
  15. At first, I thought maybe they were home and that one of them had given her the black eye, so that's why she was reluctant to let him in. And that maybe Noah had been trying to protect her from them. Obviously, I was wrong!
  16. I could see that happening as a season finale, whether it's wrapped up or left as a cliffhanger (assuming it gets renewed). Would give an excuse for all the team to come together to look for him. Maybe something tied to trying to find the truth about his father?
  17. Hm, maybe that's why they held this one off to show 4th? They needed to get shirtless Colter in early on to draw people in!
  18. I googled, too! I figured it was either one of the handlers with the dogs or the lawyer. I feel like they don't say the characters' names much, except for Colter, of course, with him introducing himself to people all the time. Though I tend to have this issue with shows. (And in real life!) Seems like a favor is more likely, but who knows?
  19. Oh, yes, the arrestee wearing a wire. As soon as they told her they had a way for her to get off for the drug charges, I was like, "Well, she's dead."
  20. Why is everyone on this show so bad at undercover work? I feel anxious whenever one of them is undercover, thinking "OK, when are they going to mess up and make it obvious what they're doing?" Doesn't help that the first ep of the season led to one of them dying from that. I mean, I'd be terrible at it, as I'm an awful liar, but I'm also not in the FBI! It was an engaging episode, though I agree that Maggie's lack of any lasting injuries seemed unrealistic. Also, what is up with her bangs? Did she have the same look in the other two eps this season? I found them weirdly distracting this episode. Tiffany looked great in that dress, but how old is she supposed to be on the show? Would it have been realistic that she worked in the Hamptons at the same time as Kate? Who I assume is supposed to be early 20s? And seems like it might have been safer for her to have said, "Mutual friends," then Kate could have said, "Yeah, she knows Ellie from back in the day" or something. Or to have figured that out in advance, as it's an obvious question.
  21. I have the same problem with the International one. I think I've gotten through maybe one or two episodes, but I was only half paying attention. One involved an abducted tennis player, I think? Remy kind of annoys me--and it doesn't help that he was a main villain in two seasons of L&O: Organized Crime, so I kind of have Richard Wheatley in my head when I see him. I like Hana, and Nina seems like a good fit for the team so far (not missing Kristin really). As others said, Ray got a little more interesting with meeting his father.
  22. But he's not just a "bland hunk o' white man." He has a dark, mysterious past! I agree that they need to give the IT guy more to do, or at least some backstory. And it would be nice for Colter to end up in the same town and talk to him face-to-face at some point. The same with the handlers. Or for them to show up where he is or something. Also, I think it's good (well, not for the sister) that the missing person ended up dead this week. Part of what made Without a Trace particularly suspenseful to me was that at least 1/3 of the cases (probably more in the early seasons) didn't have a happy ending, where the victim was found alive. If you know Colter will find the victim safe and sound every week, it takes away some suspense. I do agree with another comment that it could be interesting if they showed some non-missing-person cases, like a car, a pet, a valuable piece of art, perhaps an escaped zoo animal.
  23. The NFL Combine, but for FBI agents. One challenge involves being hit by a van and continuing the chase, like with Tiffany in the premiere.
  24. Ah, the "free-spirited sister." Do we know whether this was originally supposed to be episode 2 or 3?
  25. I had this same thought, that so far this season (and the last one, actually), where when they switch to the trial part, I feel disappointed. I am really liking the new detective. Yep, that moment. And continued when he was outside looking at the courthouse.
