The Comics: Same, Yet Different
Anela replied to KarateKate's topic in The Walking Dead Franchise Shows
I remember people talking about the Whisperers. I hadn't recalled anything else, but the name stuck with me (I thought Lucille was the girl Carl met in a prison somewhere, for some reason). Anyway, I thought I saw walkers on spikes in a preview, and there were jokes about them taking up an exercise routine. Is that these people? Or just a coincidence? -
Talking Dead: Where Chris Hardwick Got His Groove Back
Anela replied to Skyfall's topic in The Walking Dead Franchise Shows
Khary Payton said, "He was trying to get laid" when Ezekiel showed up at the end there. LOL. The person in the tiger costume, was funny. -
Carnivale! I've started season two of Narcos, but now I want to see if it's still on Amazon (also Boardwalk Empire, and Deadwood - I only watched a few episodes of each). I hope they're still there.

I thought about that when she refused, the first time. I don't think he would force her to stay, though, or to come back. He did his best to talk her into staying, but didn't lock her up.

Faux Life: Things That Happen On TV But Not In Reality
Anela replied to Kromm's topic in Everything Else TV
And they grow three inches overnight, if they're very young, and they had a six-month break between shooting. I was reminded yesterday: whenever anyone puts on a record, people are going to die. This one was a man dancing with his wife, as the music was the backdrop of several people being gunned down. Lovely. -
Thanks, I saw a link that said it was with Murder House.

Ryan Murphy apparently said that Sarah Paulson's character from season one, would make an appearance. I wonder if those who think that fake Shelby = that character, were right.

I don't think there's a lottery, but I admit I was wondering how long Negan's lot might keep the tiger well fed.

Yeah, I found that, although only a few things came up, and not all of them were for The Stand. I thought it sounded familiar, but I heard something about Trump being in both places recently, and I didn't know if something had happened.

I had to google that. :)

I would happily be in Ezekiel's harem, if he didn't seem to be too decent to have one.

I'm watching, because I read that it was a good episode (I read the other thread, and friends have talked about it). It's so nice to have a nice group. I like these people, so I kind of want to stop watching right now - while they're still alive. Something has to happen to them, because a thriving community just isn't allowed. I'd forgotten that Morgan and Carol knew about them (of course they did), and that Carol had taken out several of them by herself. (The Saviors.) I suppose they just threatened the one guy's life. Please tell me that the kid doesn't get the bat, down the line.

I was hoping for that with the tiger, earlier this year (when I found out about her). I haven't watched. I recorded it. It sounds much better than last week. I'm also not up for more Negan.

The Comics: Same, Yet Different

I'd forgotten that I posted in this thread. Two more people got their heads bashed in on TV, this week - nobody that's been around for six years, and nobody that I was attached to, but they were definitely more effective, because they were unexpected. Also: the lack of monologues was great. Negan (and Kirkman) could take a lesson from those characters. -
In the Valentine's weekend episode, where they all go to Martha's Vineyard, they make it seem like Rory has been a regular there. How did she have time, in between partying with Logan and his friends, going back to Stars Hollow, her community service, and all of that school work? They'd also broken up, and he was stalking her, trying to get her back. Suddenly, she's at home in this whole new place, and they have a "thing" where they go to the gym, and she's making things in the kitchen?

I've seen it, and I think I said at the time, that that's what I would picture AHS as being, when it put out its promos (at least for "Coven").

I haven't watched Grey's for a couple of weeks, and I don't really miss it. I let it collect on my DVR, so it's there if I change my mind. I've been feeling that way about almost every show, though.

I cried over Herschel, too. I started to watch the second season again last weekend, but stopped at the barn reveal (the first one). I can't watch Herschel die again, so I probably won't watch much more. They almost lost me over that one!

Small Talk: Ughngnggh! Ugghhnnn!
Anela replied to radishcake's topic in The Walking Dead Franchise Shows
I missed a free-preview weekend? I have Time Warner, and am in Ohio. I don't know how often they do them. I also wish we had HBO (and Showtime, so that I could catch up with Homeland). Rectify is back, but I'm too depressed to watch it right now (and tired - it must be the overcast day + my feelings). -
And she managed it without the ten-minute monologues! I wasn't expecting that. I saw Kathy Bates get her head bashed just before I fell asleep, though (the TV was on, but muted, and I looked up just as it ended). Ugh. Ack! He's the same age as me.

Thank you. :) I remembered that a little while afterwards.
