  1. That’s what I didn’t get — how can you go into a grueling physical competition without athletic training ahead of time? Survivor contestants know how to make fire, Amazing Racers know how to drive a stick shift, Drag Race contestants have a couple celebrity impersonations in their repertoire for Snatch Game. You can’t go into this cold.
  2. Dang! I know who you’re talking about and I can easily picture him. I’m pretty sure he was on an episode of Law & Order SVU as a supporting player, but darned if I can find him in the episode guide on IMDB. I may have to give up as well.
  3. I don’t know half of these people (ok, more than half), but I’m looking forward to Alyson, Barry, and Matt Walsh.
  4. Marissa & her mom have a new podcast, Life in the Pink House. The 3rd episode is about Marissa’s experience as a TCC during Covid and DCC. Lots of good content, but they do have strong opinions about the Primetimer forums! Definitely worth a listen!
  5. Jackie Bob posted a bit of that on her Instagram yesterday. Such a sweet memory.
  6. I had just come here to post this. It’s so sad. 62 is far too young.
  7. When Christian asked Bishme the significance of “42,” was anybody hoping — even a little bit— that he would reply, “the meaning of life, the universe, and everything”?
  8. Buddha’s wife had a lovely salute:
  9. I started out thinking, “I’m happy with whoever wins.” because I’ve liked nearly every contestant on this season. But when Buddha won, I realized I was only content with a Buddha or Gabri win; a Sara win would’ve made me happy. And I’m slightly surprised that Amar won Fan Favorite. Oh, well, now time to speculate over who will try to fill Padma’s shoes.
  10. Anybody here ever see Death at a Funeral, starring Matthew MacFadyen (Tom)? We were SO CLOSE to hearing, “MY FATHER WAS AN EXCEPTIONAL MAN!”
  11. There’s also a great compilation of Bobbie slapping any character who got in her way.
  12. Lovely show, but I would have made two small changes: 1. Instead of Amy Poehler introducing the Q&A, I would’ve had comedian Mo Gaffney do it — because she actually did ask Carol a question on the show when she was a kid. 2. Why have Katy Perry sing the theme song at the end? Randy Rainbow would be a much better choice; he and Carol have a mutual admiration society. Loved seeing the close friendship with Dame Julie Andrews.
  13. ::::whimper:::: I already lived through Ross & Rachel once…
  14. I don’t recall, but she’s auditioned for several seasons, and (I think) always makes it to finals.
  15. And it looks like Geena is still on the team! I always wished she had made DCC training camp.
  16. PlutoTV is playing the bejesus out of this one, so I’m sure I’ll get tired of it soon: “You could bring your in-laws to Vegas, but why would you?” Husband and Father-in-law are arguing over who picks up the check. The fight escalates, so the whole restaurant is watching. The last line delivered by the Mother-in-law and the Wife’s expression had me cackling.
  17. I’m thinking it might be the guy who was standing just outside the room the kids were meeting in. Check about 27 minutes in, as Kendall is leaving the room yelling into the phone for his dad’s doctor.
  18. Reminds me of that quote from “Drop Dead Gorgeous,” when all but one of the pageant contestants are sick from the shrimp: "Don't ever eat nothin' that can carry its house around with it.” I’m really looking forward to this season and the London/Paris locations will be fun!
  19. At the Zoom rose ceremony, I was dying for somebody to ask Zach to stand up. I really wanted to know if he was wearing sweatpants or boxers with his jacket and tie.
  20. During the judges’ discussion one year Miranda tried out, Jay said he didn’t think she’d fit in with the other girls. What the…? She’s a tall blonde who can kick. Why wouldn’t she fit in?
  21. Loved, loved, loved this show! I’m eager to see how Cirie’s gameplay will affect future seasons. (Remember the first season of Survivor, when the concept of an alliance was groundbreaking?) Of course, Cirie will probably be the first person voted off if she ever goes on another reality show. Quentin had me howling - how could one person be so consistently wrong? One quibble: the exterior shot of the castle at night. The moon never changed phases.
  22. I like that idea — kind of like Murphy Brown’s secretaries.
