  1. She looks like Kelly MacDonald, who was in Gosford Park, Trainspotting, lots of other things. I'm just glad they got rid of the Ramona and Sonja lookalikes from RHoNY.
  2. It didn't give me as much pause as a scene that was "one year ago", has Helen mentioning the "dickhead dad that voted for Trump". That was a headscratcher... And while Oscar's motives are unclear, it was refreshing to have someone point out the obvious to Allison: "You just need a good lawyer." I was worried the custody/visitation thing was going to become this unbelievable farce we would be dealing with all season. Even if she did sign over custody a) it can be changed and b) that does not preclude her seeing her daughter.
  3. I really didn't think the multiple timelines thing was real, but now, I'm giving it credence though I am not sure that William = MiB. I think it could be Logan. I do have the beginnings of a theory re: Maeve, I think she is purposely trying to get decommissioned by causing a ruckus in Sweetwater and going off loop/story with killing people and influencing/changing the other hosts behaviors.. She wants to get put in cold storage with the other decommissioned hosts and they become her army since she does have admin rights after all. (Perhaps the explosive charges in the spinal cords are deactivated once they get put in storage?) Felix and Sylvester are hosts I think, Not as sophisticated as the park ones though. I thin she is controlling them to an extent ( doesn't explain Sylvester not going along with the plan though - being able to cure him with that tool was confusing - that is clearly technology for the hosts - why would they have human medical equipment at hand?) I can't tell if the tech story is bad show-running or bad story-telling...
  4. Yes, it was filmed there, as well as neighboring towns. The school scenes were shot in Elmsford, NY. My son is in several school scenes shot there, and I froze my damn ass off watching him! But I was standing just a few feet to the right of Sharon Horgan during filming, so all internal the fan-girling kept me warm enough. Clearly I have a vested interest to watch this show ("Is that the back of M's head?") as well as being a fan of Sharon Horgan. The tone is a bit different than I expected; perhaps it comes off better with a British accent as a poster above me stated. But it's only a half-hour, I will definitely give it time!
  5. I dig the idea that the true calling of those who created Westworld (or to Ford at least) is to escape death. To find a way to import human consciousness into an android/host and live forever. Regarding the flies on the corpse, Teddy (if not all the hosts in that scene) were swatting away the flies. They didn't kill them, but I believe the issue prior to this was that they never responded to the flies? They could crawl on their face and eyeballs and they wouldn't so much as blink. Now the flies were bothering them. It's spreading?
  6. I re-watched this a few times yesterday, while I was home form work nursing a cold. The beginning line of questioning to Dolores, about answering questions correctly so they can wake up from the "dream", was done by Jeffrey Wright's character, but differs from the line of questioning we witness later. It plants seeds of discontent: "What if I told you the newcomers were there for you to play a part" etc. I don't remember the exact phrasing but it was along those lines. I think Jeffrey Wright's character is the one sabotaging the hosts, planting seeds of memories or discontent/rebellion especially when paired with him whispering in Dolores' father's ear before he was put in storage. I can't yet guess his motivation but it may be working to oppose whatever "higher stakes" Westworld is really about (human army, spies, who knows).
