  1. I'm always tickled when they show people in opposite alliances actually being friendly with one another. Yes! That must be why I like him so much. Hah. I have never been a fan of Will because he seemed boring af , and now that he's shown some personality, I am even less of a fan. His game is really meta and it's not fun or interesting to watch. I thought it was weird when he was telling people "I want to make a big move so I have something on my resume if I make it to final tribal council!". Telling people that's your plan is probably a good way to get people to keep it from happening. Why would someone else want you to build your resume and become more "dangerous" to sit next to? He did the same thing when he told Zeke about Jay's idol- "I'm telling you this to build trust with you, because sharing information builds trust!". Just share the information and let the rest happen on it's own! Saying stuff like that out loud to someone makes it sound like a scam. But getting back to this week... it's not really a "big move" if it doesn't get you further in the game, is it? Going from the bottom of one group to the bottom of another is a bad idea. In addition to poor strategy, his confessional when he was yelling at the camera about not being a goat and about being mad at Ken were extremely creepy. Ergh. Hoping he goes next.
  2. Agreed! I thought the food rewards in the pre-merge were odd. And maybe it's because I'm rewatching a lot of old seasons (Palau and Cook Islands most recently), but it seems like these people are never fishing or trying to gather food!
  3. I have an inkling that Will will get to the top 6 (finale episode) and be sent home in an unremarkable fashion- I can't think of a reason as to why he'd be so invisible up to this point other than his eventual ouster having to be yadda-yadda'd over in favor of more interesting topics. The only airtime he's gotten so far has shown situations that are required for the show (II win) or required to make sense of what's to come (blabbing about Jay's idol). I thought his explanation of "I'm telling you important information so I can build trust with you!" to Zeke was very on the nose and didn't demonstrate very good gameplay, especially when he gave that info away without getting anything back in return. But then again, I never saw the Michelle win coming last season, so I don't put much stock in my own opinions about players anymore!
  4. it was Katie - Tina's daughter. And she was like whatever. (I think at that point she was kinda done with the game, I always had that feeling). (and to be fair we've only had 1 returnee season since then. And there was no way Katie was coming on before Ciera). Katie going home during that tribal was basically the equivalent of what we would have had if Will went home on the rock draw- not a very compelling character and no chance to win (based on what we'd been shown about her game). I would be really surprised if she ever got asked back unless it was an entire season of people who were sent home without getting voted out (rocks, medevacs, whatever the heck happened to Kimmi in Cambodia). I don't know that it's -the- reason, but I think it makes sense to "punish" the people who can't come to a consensus about the vote. It also makes the game a little more interesting because there's increased incentive to flip on your alliance instead of letting it go all the way to rocks. I do feel bad for Jessica going out like that, but I couldn't believe she and the others were willing to risk sacrificing their games for Hannah, who I would hardly consider an integral (or very reliable) part of the alliance... but maybe that's my lowkey dislike for Hannah speaking. She and Will are the only ones I'm rooting against right now, but still, not with the intense hatred that I felt for the Tattoo Goons of last season. Jay continues to be my fav. "Is that how you spell it?" May he keep smiling that cheeky smile all the way to the finals... :)
  5. I wasn't sure I'd be able to continue watching the show if Taylor didn't go home. The back-and-forth between him and Adam during TC was so cringey I almost couldn't handle it. Why didn't Adam take out his advantage and throw it into the fire!? Absolutely no use hanging on to that thing. For a "super duper fan" he really has no clue. Maybe it's because I like rooting for the underdog, but I'm really enjoying watching Jay. I don't know if he'll make it to the end because I'm not sure what group he can work himself into the way things stand right now, but it seems like he won't go down without a fight and that will at least be fun to watch. Hannah bothers me less than she initially did, Zeke is great, the Gen-Xers are one amorphous lump to me right now, and Will, in my opinion, is the biggest waste of casting space to make it past the merge in recent memory.
  6. I was hoping he'd go tonight, something about him definitely bugs. I didn't have an opinion on him until last week when he was looking so bright-eyed and perky during Michaela's boot, as if he had more power in that move than receiving marching orders from Jay.
  7. I think Adam voted for Figgy too. What concerns me more about Zeke is that he thought it was a good idea to pitch the Figgy vote to Jay- his connection with Taylor and Figgy is pretty obvious and in such a large tribe wouldn't it make more sense to skirt around the allies of your target when you're looking for votes on your side?
  8. I am consoling my disappointment with the Mari boot by thinking about how happy I'll be when Hannah gets clipped by the "Cool Kid" alliance.
