  1. Currently 3/4 through King's Cage by Victoria Aveyard.
  2. Awesome thread! When I was a kid, about 4-5 years old, I always saw my grandmother drinking medicine/vitamins in tablet form. And as children, we only drank the disgusting liquid ones. So everytime she would go to sleep, I would sneak in her room and steal about 3-4 tablets (Paracetamol is what I remember) and drink them all. Good thing I didn't die! Hahaha
  3. What I don't like much: On clothing, I don't like ruffles, neon colours, denim skirts worn over leggings and paired with sneakers. For makeup, accessories, etc, I don't like nail art that much (and the other "nail trends" as well), anklets, SHUTTER SHADES (my goodness), and using black marker to "stylize" converse sneakers. What I like a lot: Bodycon dresses, clothes with beautiful and sophisticated prints (not paisley ones, sorry), athleisure (so yes, I do love yoga pants), maxi dresses (even though I'm short), and turtlenecks. Also, the classic french tip nails, aviator sunglasses, and the new era of Adidas sneakers. :)
  4. Lately, I have been into gin. I tried mixing a lot of different cocktails and also tried to understand how they're made and what goes into making it.
  5. One of my specialty dishes is 3-Cheese Baked Mussels. Here's the ingredients needed and the process but know that I don't measure ingredients. I always just eyeball it. Ingredients: Mussels Minced Garlic Butter Parmesan Mozzarella Cheddar Process: 1. In a large pot, boil the mussels until the shells open. Once opened, drain water and run mussels under cold water. This would make it easier to open the mussels all the way through and remove the half that doesn't have meat. 2. In a pan, melt butter and sautee minced garlic until the flavor is infused in the butter. 3. Add about half a teaspoon of the garlic/butter mixture to the mussels (add over the meat). 4. Mix all three cheeses and add good amount onto the mussels. 5. Pop in the oven until cheese melts and they're golden brown. It won't take long since the mussels are already cooked.
  6. Thanks so much for this! I just installed the Houzz mobile app. Thank you!
  7. You know you're watching too much Arrow when while working, you're watching it on Netflix. Take note, your attention is 70% on the show, 30% on work. WTF am I doing with my life hahaha
  8. For the past couple of weeks, I've been thinking of redecorating my bedroom. Here's the problem I have with this: 1. I'm NOT a creative person (so I need a step-by-step instruction on something that won't require me to use my imagination. 2. I have the hand-eye coordination of a blind sloth so I can't really do big projects. Anyway, so I've been looking for small ways to liven up my bedroom and give it a bit of a character and I came across an article that gave pointers about how to do just that. First of all, can someone explain to me further what a "focal point" is, home improvement-wise? I mean, obviously the bed is always the centre of any room right? Also, what do you think the article meant with "one-off pieces"? Are these statement pieces? So far, this is the guide that is simplest to me - doesn't involve painting or other complicated things.
  9. When a character's inner monologue goes on and on and on and on. Also, when an author uses too many "big words" in just one page to prove that he/she majored in literature or something. -__- Like, this is supposed to be an erotica, not a Jane Austen novel.
  10. I don't think Jojo Moyes' Me Before You should've been made into a movie. I love Chloe Grace Moretz, but I hated the book, even the 2nd installment (After You). There are so many other books that could've been funded to turn into a movie instead of this one. Such a waste of time and talent. #UnpopularOpinion
  11. If anyone here is into romance with organised crime, i highly recommend the Ruthless People series by J.J. McAvoy. Actually ALL her books are awesome. Especially Sugar, Baby, Beautiful. :)
